I have issues installing the (android) app, so am unable to receive and send messages to participants on the platform, which is super critical on the day of (in person) testing. Alternative options for efficient SMS messaging would be great. I would opt for in-platform messaging for accountability, but extra options are a time saver. Askable are outstanding.... both the platform itself and the incredible team behind it. The only downside is that Askable are based in Australia, and we’d love more chances to connect with the team in person here in NZ. That said, they do a fantastic job of including NZ in their community events and creating opportunities for researchers here to connect and share experiences. We’ve found Askable to be an invaluable resource for our design team. The platform is excellent for self-service user research, allowing our designers to quickly set up and run tests, which has saved us a significant amount of time.

My experience on Askable is limited to moderated research methods, and I found Askable to have great facilitation/scheduling tools, a good panel of users (I have recruited users via Askable but also conducted studies that were self-recruited), and lastly great customer support when I needed to review the panel I reached for my studies. I initially had a really hard time recruiting participants through another well-known platform and only switched to Askable out of desperation. I’m so glad I did! The process was incredibly smooth, and I was able to complete the recruitment quickly, meeting my deadline and satisfying my stakeholders. It is easy to generate and select a wide range of participants. The process is simple and predictable, so setting up and completing multiple tests at once is easy.
