I like that Asana can be used very simply or in very sophisticated ways, making it adaptable to different needs. The different views are valuable because they allow me to look at project work from various angles, which helps facilitate different conversations with the appropriate presentation of information. I find rules to be very powerful and useful, although they require careful use. Additionally, the initial setup of Asana was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For someone doing a lot of project scheduling, the Gantt view is essential, and it is not as convenient to use as Microsoft Project used to be. In particular, dependencies and start/due dates need to work more smoothly together. Moving a task forward in time does move its successors forward (if configured), but moving backwards leaves successors in place, and creates a gap that needs to be closed by manual movement. On a large project schedule, that is a hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
