## Asana Reviews
 ### 1. Collaborative and Highly Customizable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nika A. | Sales and Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really like its collaborative nature and how customizable it is.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

there are still some features that either don't work, or I have trouble setting up - for example, sending the tasks to a specific email that would then add those tasks to the specific project, and also to the specific column

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the project on track, and how I can set up the Zapier automation, using it.

 ### 2. Intuitive Dashboard That Keeps Tasks and Clients Perfectly Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alpana C. | Digital PR Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The dashboard
How easy it is to use - anyone can use it - don't need any tutorials or videos to learn the usage
Keeps all tasks, all clients, all profiles segregated
Easy to add new tasks, update tasks, sort through separate projects
Tool also sends reminders in case you forget to login or check a task, notifies a user if task has been assigned.
I use it very day to keep up with my tasks and assignments.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There are some cons like you cannot export files to CSV or Excel sheet - which can be a issue while reporting
I tried to use the app on my mobile while I was travelling but it didn't give me the same functionalities found on the dashboard.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management. Keeping up with my tasks. I am a freelancer and work on several projects at the same time. This tool helps me track everything in one place. Helps me stay sane.

 ### 3. Flexibility and Powerful Features Enhance Project Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben L. | Director, Alumni Marketing and Communiications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I appreciate that Asana lets us view projects in different ways, like using a kanban board for new marketing requests, a Gantt chart for campaign timelines, and a calendar for email and social media schedules. The ability to multi-home tasks in multiple projects without copying them is a game-changer for keeping everyone updated through a single task entry. Asana's forms, automations, and rules simplify receiving requests, creating workflows, and managing tasks strategically. The flexibility that Asana offers by allowing each person to customize their work view is really valuable. Using the Asana plug-in for Outlook and Teams also helps me create tasks directly from emails or messages, which is convenient.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I would love the ability to add a prefix to all tasks within a project. I would love to be able to assign roles organization-wide rather than just per project. I often convert tasks into projects using project templates, and I would like to utilize automations/rules to auto-assign tasks and subtasks based on roles, which I cannot do organization-wide. Same with adding prefixes, currently, I have to copy/paste the project name into each task after it is created, which is time-consuming.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to track marketing projects, facilitate communication with teams, and monitor progress effectively.

 ### 4. Effortlessly Streamlines Team Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really appreciate the live training that Asana provides because it helps a lot with assignment certification and offers a step-by-step program. This training gives detailed information about every tab, including projects and portfolios, which I find to be more than enough. I also find Asana's design for each task very helpful, especially when setting up a scrum framework. As soon as I discovered the dashboard feature, it became invaluable for helping new team members move tasks across sections. It simplifies the process greatly, making it all very easy. Additionally, the dashboard's overview and summary are a great help when breaking down briefs into smaller pieces, which makes it accessible for the entire team. Overall, Asana works pretty well for our agency.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Nothing at this point

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps a lot with task designation and scrum methodology, allowing me to put parameters in place. The dashboard saves me time by making it easy to move tasks between sections, and the overview allows my team to access information in one spot.

 ### 5. Solid Project Management, Needs Smoother Feature Integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabby B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I find Asana pretty simple to use, especially the basic features which are easy to figure out. It's easy-ish to connect it to Google Calendar. I can keep track of tasks efficiently and notify other team members about their tasks to ensure accountability and that we don't miss any tasks.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I feel like there are so many features and it's hard to actually know how to slowly integrate more and more of them for the best Asana experience. If there was a way to automate - set the end date and create a new project that has updated deadlines based on the new end date that would be great.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for communication across teams, assigning tasks with deadlines, and tracking competing priorities. It helps notify and assign tasks to the right people, ensuring accountability.

 ### 6. Perfect Project Hub with Seamless Google Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian Mark S. | Independent Consultant, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like that Asana is a central project management tool for multiple parts of the business. It's a hub that allows multiple users to connect centrally and keep an eye on all the projects and tasks we're working on as the agency for multiple clients. I appreciate the new AI features and how they're helping us streamline workflows. The integration with Google Drive is also a big plus since we run the rest of the business on Google Workspace. The initial setup was really simple, and this made the transition smoother for us.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Nothing yet, we're newbies but we’re putting it through its paces already!

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana acts as a central hub, helping multiple users connect and oversee all project and task updates. The AI features streamline our workflows, enhancing productivity.

 ### 7. Tidy, Neat, and Great for Cross-Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The UI is tidy and neat, and it makes cross-team collaboration easy with cross-project tagging, which can stay on track

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There are too many reminders for almost every single action, and it quickly becomes distracting, making it harder to keep track of which tasks to prioritize.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me both a macro and micro understanding.

 ### 8. Vital for Project Management and Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda T. | Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like the fact that you can make tasks recurring in Asana, and you can also set milestones and goals. It's really handy that you can share them with your entire workspace instead of just one specific unit. I also appreciate the automation sets with rules, as they create an integrated system for the entire company to operate. Asana serves as our tool for tracking everything that's happening within all departments and stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Those rules regarding subtasks could be improved. And also with Studio AI. Has a lot of room for improvement. I believe those are things that are being worked on.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves communication issues by giving visibility into project status and responsibilities, tracks development, and analyzes data from different perspectives.

 ### 9. Asana is a fantastic tool for work/project management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle H. | Technical Support Specialist Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The various ways you can setup a project within Asana. It's UI is fantastic and easy to navigation. Its quick to load and easy to make changes

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I can't think of any downsides. Any issues we have faced were quickly resolved and the Asana support team has always been helpful

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is helping us track various projects. We also use it heavily for tracking various steps that are needed to complete daily tasks

 ### 10. Seamless Client Management with Asana

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I use Asana daily for keeping track of new clients and their stage in the intake process, as well as communicating effectively with clinical teams about client details. It helps us assign projects, maintain productivity, and ensure accountability within our team. I love how I can customize it to fit my own needs for tasks and assignments, and the way it keeps everything organized and clean. Additionally, Asana works great for our company's needs, as I haven't faced any issues with starting and keeping projects organized. The initial setup was very simple and easy to use, and I also appreciate how well it integrates with Zoho CRM.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There is nothing negative to say about Asana

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana daily to track client stages and communicate with clinical teams. It helps us assign projects, maintain productivity and accountability, and keeps tasks organized and clean.

 ### 11. Boosts Coordination but Challenging to Onboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wandia K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like how Asana keeps me up to date with my desk and tasks, which is really valuable in my role as a program manager. It effectively assists me in coordinating with all my team members on the different programs we're running. Asana's features allow me to send updates and keep track of the programs my team members coordinate as collaborators.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The swiftness of gelling with the platform. Even though there are videos that guide, sometimes you don't have time to go lesson by lesson. When we onboarded Asana, we joined the training, but some members were not quick to go back and maybe rewatch the videos. It would help if there was a prompt that notices underutilization of certain aspects of the tool and suggests videos to help optimize its use. The setup wasn't plug and play as it should be easy.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves coordination challenges, improves tracking of activities, and allows us to report timely by viewing and addressing issues early.

 ### 12. Asana Became the Operational Backbone of Our Agency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vito D. | Founder & Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has become the operational backbone of our agency. For a small creative team managing 10+ active client accounts across video production, content strategy, and brand management, having a centralized task system with clear ownership and deadlines has been transformative. The project template functionality lets us spin up new client onboards fast with a repeatable structure, and the timeline view gives us visibility across overlapping production schedules — which is critical when we're juggling shoots, edit cycles, and content calendars simultaneously. It's also been key for keeping our pipeline organized as we've scaled from a solo operation to a five-person team.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The learning curve for newer team members is steeper than it should be — getting contractors and part-time collaborators comfortable with Asana's project structures, custom fields, and views takes real onboarding time, which is a cost for a small agency that brings people on fast. The mobile app also feels limited compared to desktop; when I'm on set or between shoots, I want to quickly reassign or update tasks and the mobile experience feels clunky. I also wish there was a dedicated chat or messaging feature built into Asana — right now team communication lives in task comments, which buries conversations inside individual tasks and makes it hard to have broader project-level or team-wide discussions without jumping to Slack or text threads. The integration between Asana and tools like Google Drive and Frame.io could also be deeper — it's more of a link-drop than a true two-way sync, so we still end up bouncing between platforms to track deliverable status. For the price point, the reporting and dashboard features on the Business tier feel like they should offer more customization out of the box.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Asana, our project management was scattered across group texts, Google Drive folders, and mental checklists — which barely worked when it was just me, but completely broke down once I started bringing on editors, a content strategist, and client-facing team members. Tasks would slip, deliverables would get lost between shoots and edit cycles, and I was the bottleneck for every status update. Since implementing Asana, we've been able to run 10+ active client accounts simultaneously across video production, content strategy, and brand management without things falling through the cracks. Every shoot, edit round, and content calendar has clear ownership and deadlines, which means I'm spending less time chasing updates and more time on creative direction — which is where I actually add value. It's also made onboarding new contractors dramatically faster because the project templates and task structures speak for themselves instead of requiring me to walk someone through everything from scratch. For a small agency that scaled from one person to a five-person team in under two years, Asana is the reason that growth didn't come with operational chaos.

 ### 13. Optimize Project Management with Clear Flow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SARAI Z. | Process Engineer, Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has been very useful for managing improvement projects in my current role as a process engineer. What I like the most is that it has a very clear workflow, for example with the task flow: pending, in progress, in validation, and closed. Asana makes it easy to follow up on actions resulting from meetings and ensures that things actually get done. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It can become burdensome to carry when there are many active projects.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps me manage improvement projects, facilitates the tracking of actions after meetings, and ensures that tasks are actually executed.

 ### 14. Every org I work in, I convince them to use Asana

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah P. | Global VP Product Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I appreciate most about Asana is its impressive balance between power and simplicity. The platform is robust enough to handle complex, cross-functional projects, yet the user experience remains light, modern, and even enjoyable—something that's uncommon in work software.

Several aspects really stand out to me. First, the ease of use: the interface is intuitive and visually clean, allowing new users to become productive quickly. Customization is another highlight; you can adapt workflows, projects, fields, views, automations, and templates to your needs without requiring an admin or outside consultant to set things up.

Asana also offers a deep set of features—tasks, rules, portfolios, forms, goals, dependencies, reporting, and more—without ever feeling overwhelming or bloated. Integrations are straightforward to set up and work reliably, which is especially valuable for coordinating across teams.

One of the strongest points is how the tool encourages daily use by consistently delivering value. It becomes a habit because it helps keep work organized and manageable. The fun, human touches in the UI, like celebrations and a modern design, make the experience more engaging and enjoyable, which in turn boosts consistency and adoption.

Overall, Asana is one of the rare tools that supports serious project execution while remaining approachable and pleasant to use.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Asana offers a remarkable level of flexibility, though this same flexibility can introduce a learning curve for teams unfamiliar with structured work management tools. Without setting clear conventions—such as consistent naming standards, project templates, and defined intake workflows—work can easily become somewhat inconsistent between teams.

I do find myself wishing that the reporting and dashboard features were more robust by default, especially when it comes to handling complex, organization-wide metrics. While it is possible to create the necessary reports, it sometimes requires additional configuration or access to higher-tier features.

Nevertheless, the user interface and overall user experience are streamlined enough that the platform rarely feels overwhelming. Additionally, the support resources provided help make the implementation process smoother compared to many other tools in this space.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves the biggest challenge in cross-functional work: alignment without chaos. It creates a single system for planning, tracking, and executing work across teams—without turning into a rigid or overly complex project management platform.

I like how it helps with:
Clear ownership and accountability: tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities are obvious, which reduces follow-up and “who’s doing what?” confusion.
Faster execution and fewer meetings: status updates happen inside the work itself, so we spend less time syncing and more time delivering.
Smooth implementation + scalable usage: onboarding teams is fast because the interface is intuitive and the structure is flexible. Once teams start using it, it becomes part of daily workflow quickly.
AI + smart automation: Asana’s AI and automation features help with niche challenges like summarizing updates, creating tasks from context, and reducing administrative overhead—something other platforms feel weaker at.
Integrations reduce tool-switching: Asana integrates easily with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Teams, Jira, and more, which keeps workflows connected without friction.

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like how simple Asana is. It's not very complicated, but it can still be complex if you need it to be, starting you off on a very simple path. I appreciate the project templates and task templates because I can set those up and link my SOPs to Notion, ensuring my team always has the resources they need to execute tasks correctly. The initial setup was very easy, and it's been working well for my small but growing team.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I'm not sure yet

I use Asana to organize and gain organizational clarity, creating an operating system my team can follow.

 ### 17. Great Task Dependency Visibility with Asana’s Hourglass Indicator

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has great visibility of task dependency availability with the hourglass symbol in play when a blocking task is not completed. Our team really valued this feature.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

From what I understand, our organisation didn’t move forward with Asana mainly because it didn’t provide the hierarchy and organisation-wide visibility we needed, and I really wish it had those capabilities. On a personal level, I also found the notifications chaotic and not particularly helpful as a tool.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the person creating the projects, I really appreciated how easy it was to access and navigate back to the parent task. The projects I was building were based on a parent task as the main asset, with the subtasks covering all the work related to creating that asset. Because of that setup, being able to quickly find and open the parent task was genuinely helpful from a UI perspective.

 ### 18. Great tool for managing tasks and keeping teams aligned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nandan S. | Senior Business Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Asana?**

In addition to task allocation and progress tracking, I really like the different project views like list, board, and timeline, which make it easier to visualise work depending on the team’s needs. The ability to assign ownership, set deadlines, and track updates in one place has improved collaboration and transparency across teams.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Sometimes, the number of workflow options and task stages can make it slightly confusing to quickly understand the current stage of a project. Having more simplified or standardised workflow stages for projects could make tracking progress easier and improve overall usability.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crisp tracking of work in the organization and ease of allocating the project to teams and members. Provides a great helping hand in project reviews. Keep up the good product

 ### 19. Endless Possibilities: Asana Templates and AI Are a Project Management Game-Changer

The possibilities with Asana are endless, which is great for a project manager. I love the templates to help provide a starting point for creating a project, and the AI option to help create a Project for me is also a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Having endless possibilities is exciting, but also overwhelming. Getting started into Asana felt like a huge undertaking, and I'm still not fully comfortable with how best to use the platform because I feel like I should be using it in smarter ways.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's providing a comprehensive, true project management program to house all of our marketing team and projects in one platform.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One downside of Asana is that its wide range of features and configuration options can be overwhelming for newcomers. Many advanced tools, like timelines, goals, and reporting, are only available in more expensive plans, which may lead to higher costs as your team grows. Furthermore, if projects and rules are not managed thoughtfully, it is easy to experience notification overload.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana addresses the issue of fragmented work and limited visibility among teams by bringing tasks, projects, and timelines together in a single platform. It streamlines coordination, clarifies who is responsible for what, and allows us to monitor progress in real time. As a result, our collaboration improves, deadlines are less likely to be missed, accountability is strengthened, and everyone remains focused on shared priorities. Ultimately, this leads to more efficient execution and better outcomes for our projects.

 ### 25. Ideal for Beginners, Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ralph R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I just love that Asana is free for an individual user, which is such a great thing because I hate having to pay for something that you don't get a chance to really use. It sounds like there are practice documents available even though I'm not working with a company and don't have a database to learn with, and there's also a lot of training material made available, which is very nice for a learner. It seems like the team is just ready to help. I like the different ways you can visualize information quickly and that it updates everybody all at once, though I'm not sure how unique that is. The initial setup was really easy and it's very simple. And the integration with Zoom works really well.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I realy haven't used enough to know yet. It is a shame it doesn't have a Sharepoint integration yet

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that Asana offers a free version for individual users and provides plenty of accessible practice documents and training materials. It easily integrates with Zoom, and I like how it allows quick visualization of information and updates everyone simultaneously.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Most of my clients already use Asana, so it naturally became the center of how I manage my work. Having everything in one platform makes it easy to build processes around client projects without switching between tools. The board and list views are flexible enough to adapt to different workflows, and I appreciate how quickly I can get a clear picture of what needs to happen across multiple accounts.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It’s a bit expensive, but with the right business model, it can be a great tool.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run a small creative agency and work with multiple clients and contractors at the same time. Before Asana, tracking tasks across different projects was scattered and hard to follow. Now I use it to assign work to contractors, set deadlines, and monitor progress all in one place. Clients can drop tasks directly into shared projects, so nothing gets lost in chat or email. The visual layout and the mobile app make it easy to check on everything at a glance, even when I'm not at my desk.

It can also take some time to organize everything effectively, so tasks stay clear and the overall structure remains easy to manage.

 ### 29. Powerful for Managing Many Projects, but Too Complicated and Not Intuitive

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra R. | Advertising Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I'm able to manage multiple projects and a lot of different people as well as tasks

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It is a very complicated platform and not very intuitive. It's very easy to mess up tasks, assignees, etc... There are videos online but often times they are not helpful and usually deal with extremely complicated problems rather than simple projects. The AI is also not intuitive and often does not understand what I am trying to perform

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing what everyone else is working on, making projects dependent on completions from others

 ### 30. Centralised Task Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Livia P. | Marketing and Social Media Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love using Asana as an overall organisation tool. It helps me keep track of all tasks and projects I'm working on across various campaigns and content production. It keeps all our moving parts in one centralised space, so nothing gets forgotten or overlooked. Asana solves problems like tracking the progress of multiple projects, collaborating with the team, keeping track of deadlines, and prioritising tasks. I appreciate its clean layout, the ability to colour-coordinate tasks, and the option to leave comments in tasks and tag others. The multiple layout options, like list, board, timeline, and calendar, especially the calendar view as a content calendar, are fantastic. I find the ability to add tags and the way comments keep all communications within the task incredibly useful. Asana’s training and tutorials are great, I really recommend watching them so you can get the most out of the platform and see its capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It can get a bit cluttered if you have a lot of tasks running simultaneously, especially with many subtasks and team members involved. Sometimes it gets hard to quickly see what actually matters vs what's just sitting there. Also, Asana only really works if all team members are actively updating their progress, which isn't always the case.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to organise tasks across projects, keeping everything in a centralised space, preventing anything from being forgotten. It helps me track project progress, collaborate with my team, manage deadlines and priorities, and lets me see everything at a glance.

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

I use Asana for monitoring projects, doing sprints, and even for long-term projects; it's my master hub. I love that they listen to feedback, especially when creating rules, as they really try to understand what people need. The task template type has changed everything for me, transforming the way fields, tasks, and sections are used. The templates are a huge asset when building out projects with multiple statuses and fields that take up space in the column. They help us maneuver tasks to each status easily. I also appreciate that 'complete' isn't necessarily complete; we can choose what to show. I use Asana everywhere—on my Mac, through a Chrome add-on, in ChatGPT, in Teams as an agent, on Outlook, and in Claude. For my tier, it surpasses my expectations, and I love using it. Although I faced some challenges during initial setup, Asana's documentation is well set up, and I found the forums most helpful for nuanced situations.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I found some challenges during the initial setup, particularly in figuring out exactly which features were best used in different situations. The Asana documentation was helpful, but for more nuanced situations, I needed to consult the forums to find the best approaches.

 ### 38. Real-Time Project Tracking with Flexible Views in Asana.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammed K. | HR Generalist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana makes your work process more transparent without overthinking it. You can divide your projects into specific tasks, delegate them to certain people, and monitor everything in real-time. Various views (lists, boards, timelines) let teams work differently but still stay synchronized.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There is no structure enforcement, meaning that the whole system relies on how teams organize themselves. If tasks are not updated properly, visibility starts fading fast. Moreover, more profound analytics and workload management cannot be found at the basic plan level.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Status reports and meetings are unnecessary since there is no need to ask anything anymore; you will just know what is going on.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

I like Assign tasks, due dates, and custom fields in Asana. We use custom fields and due dates to drive automations like rules. The initial setup of Asana was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Project templates could be improved by adding the ability to use variables. I would also like the ability to add people to roles after the project is already created, but it currently only works using a template.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for project management, helping with calendar planning, assigning tasks, due dates, and using custom fields to drive automations. These features streamline organizing projects and improve efficiency.

 ### 44. My Asana User Experience Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily D. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Asana was first introduced to me and my team by a Volunteer. I find it great for tracking tasks and follow up's. It greatly helps me with staying aligned on my work priorities. The layout is very clear, and allows me to manage multiple projects and I love the colour coding function.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The volunteer who taught me how to use Asana is a very experienced user of Asana and tech‑savvy, and after their demonstration, I was able to understand the system quite well. However, as a new user myself, I found it a bit challenging to replicate the training for another volunteer who isn’t as tech‑savvy.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me keep on all of my work tasks improving my productivity and reducing chances of double handling of any tasks, saving me so much time and effort. I love it!

 ### 45. Streamlined Team Collaboration, Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like that with Asana, I can see where we are in all aspects of a project, which really helps with collaboration. There's no more searching different places for info on one project since it's all in one place. Our team switched to Asana because more of us preferred the interface.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I wish Asana had a better chat feature for communicating with anyone in the team that's online, not just within a project. Also, the initial setup was challenging as the instructional videos weren't very helpful. It would be great to have only a few people with access to the higher tier with portfolios, but it's currently not cost-effective for our entire team to be on it.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for collaboration on projects with my team. I can see where we are in all aspects of a project, and there's no more searching different places for info since everything is in one place.

 ### 46. Streamlined Project Management with Great Visual Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahrukh S. | AI Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really like how Asana handles task organization through its multiple views. Being able to switch between a list and a board view instantly helps me visualize my daily priorities much better. The interface is clean and doesn't feel cluttered, which makes it easy to track project deadlines and automate repetitive status updates without much effort.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The learning curve for more advanced features like Portfolios and Workload can be a bit steep for new users. Also, the notification system can sometimes feel overwhelming if you don't spend time fine-tuning the settings, making it easy to miss important updates in a sea of alerts. I'd love to see more affordable pricing for smaller teams wanting to access Enterprise-level reporting tools.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves the problem of fragmented communication. Instead of searching through long email threads or chat logs for project updates, everything is centralized in one place. It’s been super helpful for organizing all of my projects. I can even customize my boards, and I get reminder notifications on my phone, which makes it easier to stay on top of everything!

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

With the way the board is designed right now, I’d really love the option to customize it, colors, fonts, and sizes for each block. I think that would make it much easier to go through all the tasks I have

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing my workload and my deadlines mostly! I'd love for it to include some workload Ai or something similar

One area for improvement would be deeper customization options for different marketing views (campaign, content, product, supplier, etc.).
More advanced filtering and tagging capabilities would also help segment initiatives more strategically.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the fact that we can make videos now it's great. It allows me to explain and put emotions in the project description and that way i can share the passion for the project.

 ### 49. Seamless Workflow Management with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric B. | Owner And Operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

As I'm learning the Asana platform, I've found the ability to create rules and leverage integrations to be incredibly useful. I rely heavily on these features to connect my work across multiple platforms like Google Calendar. Starting my day with Asana helps me set up a workflow that cascades into every other platform I use. The rules and integrations simplify processes for other people I work with and bridge communication gaps, letting me know what’s needed and when. Asana allows me to communicate effectively and keep track of deliverables, deadlines, and project start times, which is crucial for my role as an AV media manager. Asana does a great job on multiple levels.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I could see how someone who has no understanding at all could find Asana to be overwhelming. You have to be patient with yourself and give yourself time to learn and understand what functions work for you. Maybe a few more integrations that I'm used to, like Google Keep, would be helpful. Initially, it was challenging because we had a trainer that may not have known the needs of the particular group they were training for.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps me manage workflows, improve productivity, and plan effectively. Its integration capabilities allow seamless connection with multiple projects and clients, simplifying processes and bridging communication gaps.

 ### 50. Asana Makes Ownership and Accountability Effortless.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pushpa R. | Quality Assurance Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana is helpful when it is beneficial for people to take charge of their responsibilities without needing frequent nudging. The moment an assignment is allocated, it becomes evident to everyone involved, thereby creating accountability. I find myself using Asana to pinpoint any hindrances in the process without having to make specific requests.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One significant limitation is that assignments without any deadlines may take longer to be discovered than expected.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Something that really sticks out is how much of a feeling of ownership it creates. People usually update their tasks simply because their status is transparent, not because someone asks them to do so.
