What do you like best about Asana for Gmail for G Suite?

The best thing is that you can forwards emails to ASANA directly from Gmail and comment to forward to other users, way better that forwarding an email, in this days of full mailboxes is way better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like to have more power of customizing and more options like attached files to send to files to ASANA, but im sure they will provide that update soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana for Gmail for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

When a client or a customer send an email to my mailbox, i can forward to a general channel to asana and all users can comment and provide solutions to that email before sending to client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Asana is a great tool to keep track of tasks that needs to be competed and ones that have already been completed. I also really like that you can assign tasks or see if other folks have completed a task. It allows for us to know where each person is and provide encouragement moving forward as a team which is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Asana for Gmail helps me better keep track of tasks and reminders, especially those based on email communication. Have emails be a reminder for task creation and assignment really helps me stay on track of different projects. I find I rely on the gmail app too much, which can be a negative when trying to keep track of an entire project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana for Gmail for G Suite?

I love how the tool integrates easily on the sidebar function, and helps reduce email forwards that require some type of action/response from a colleague. The ability to add email context/attachments to a specific project/due date/assignee all from one tab outside of Asana is very helpful. It is quick and easy to set up, and is quick and easy to use overall. It is also nice that the title of the task automatically pulls in what the email subject is (which is usually okay to send over), but when you need to change it, it is a quick and easy type adjustment. What do you dislike about Asana for Gmail for G Suite?

It sometimes can be slow to navigate, but the majority of what you need shows on the first tab/page and is easy to type/click on everything you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a very helpful tool that will decrease the amount of email you send/receive, which is something that everyone should strive for to help increase productivity and spend less time trying to read through a copious amount of email threads and content when it can easily be placed in Asana and searched in a faster/more dynamic way. What problems is Asana for Gmail for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have way too many email forwards/responses in our organization, so the ability to take all of that out of gmail and have that focused on external needs/client support vs. internal back and forth is very helpful. It has helped us reduce the amount of clutter that comes into our inbox and help differentiate where internal exchanges take place vs. where external exchanges take place, which is extremely helpful. Good to know that Asana understands that their users use mails a lot and integration with Gmail makes it even easier to assign tasks.

I believe, that this is a great way now, since I personally work a lot with gmail and now I can transform each email in a task and continue working on it in Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Understandable, this is a beginning, but at this point, the UI is very complicated and needs extra work when creating or assigning tasks. I hope, in the future, Asana team manages work on it more and it would be easier to attach letter to a specific project or person withion gmail Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

when creating a task:

1/ add functionality to input tags

2/ make it better to select a project and not search for it (the drop-down menu, maybe)

3/ make it easier to assign task without going to another block (maybe, in the pop-up)

4/ make it possible to add comment to the task

5/ selecting a project should be made easier - again, with drop-down

6/ add attachments to the task

7/ it would be nice to edit what to include in the task (not the whole email, only the attachment and see a preview of the task that is being created) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
