I suppose if there has to be something said at all, is that it isn't a free service. We send logs to a sensor on-prem that is forwarded to Artic Wolf cloud. With these logs, we don't have to spend hours parsing through them to see if there is any attacks, malicious users in our network, etc. Arctic Wolf notifies us from the logs we provide if they see anything alarming. ### 3. Educational sessions, quizzes, and phishing simulations are distributed regularly to employees without any action required by our internal IT team. The content is short and engaging, and the information is relevant. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** Updating the list of employees as folks are hired or termed can be a slow process because we need to send an updated list to the team at Arctic Wolf and they use that to update our information. We cannot customize the phishing simulation templates to tailor the messages to our company or industry - though the emails that Arctic Wolf sends are good examples of phishing. I'd like to see an email client add-on which allows employees to easily report phishing attempts to our IT team. The executive summary data reports seem limited; it would be nice to see the full breadth of what the CSOC team investigated, not only ticketed events. My opinion is that the customer security journey roadmap is still in development and is in early testing with customers. Quarterly security reviews could benefit from a focus on the security journey, an overview of any day one or high vulnerable exploits in the wild, a quick review of open tickets, review systems hardening, and any general questions between customer and CSOC team. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** Windows patching and vulnerable application visibility. However, this product does not contain a roll-back feature for ransomware. The engineers research and check things, and I get involved once they are sure it is an issue needing my input or action. Th engineers are knowledgeable abnd present me with best practices on solving the problem at hand when possible. The risks section is particularly useful in that it lists the recommended steps to take to better harden your configuration. That it's sortable and filterable by host, issue, or risk makes it easy to pin down next steps depending on your preferred approach. Each risk listed includes background information and general steps to take for resolution. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** Would love integration with even more 3rd party apps and hardware. Detection & Response website and Managed Risk website require logging in separately - would be nice if they were integrated. They stay in close contact with my team with regular calls to make sure nothing is missed. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** Some of the reporting is pretty, but it isn't as useful as it could be. E.g. score this month versus score this year to date, as opposed to score this month versus score last month. They're working on it, but have been for some time. But I do appreciate their positive response to my sincere criticism. They are always open to a conversation about how they can make the product better for the customer and work towards that. **Recommendations to others considering Arctic Wolf:** I recommend you compare Arctic Wolf with other industry leaders. You will find they are as responsive, but less expensive. Not all managed detection and response service providers offer the same services or technology. Be sure to choose wisely and select the one that is a perfect fit to your organization's size, security controls in place, and needs. You can also ask for proofs of concept to validate a provider's claims. They are always a pleasure to work with. They deliver a vast amount of data in reports that are easy to understand and digest. The reports provide excellent technical detail and others are excellent for high level executive discussions. Data and privacy regulations should be respected. Be sure that you choose a provider that is able to meet the compliance requirements you need to observe. Their insight into what is going on in my network is invaluable both to me and my team. We wouldn't be able to provide the same level of coverage ourselves for the cost of the service. Arctic Wolf is making cybersecurity affordable for everyone. Ask to speak with some of their customers as references. MDR vendors augment your current tools and expertise. If you haven’t had the opportunity or resources to dive deeply into your organization's security, consider only those providers with a more comprehensive technology stack. If you already have tools at your disposal, choose a provider that can offer you a different set of tools than what you have. The tools they provide are excellent, their team backs up the excellent tools with expert knowledge and recommendations. They have the ability to provide automation for a number of vital cyber services with the use of their tools. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using Arctic Wolf essentially expands my team both in size and in hours covered. I can rest a little easier knowing someone is watching on my behalf and are good at what they do.
