## About Arcjet
Arcjet is the runtime security platform that ships with your code. Enforce budgets, stop prompt injection, detect bots, and protect personal information with security building blocks configured in just a few lines of code. By enforcing security inline at the application layer, Arcjet protects apps with real identity and session context, something network-level tools can't see. Teams ship fast with confidence, without slowing down development or adding infrastructure complexity. Unlike WAFs and traditional tools that rely on agents or proxies, Arcjet rules live in your code: configured by developers or coding agents via MCP, CLI, or SDK, tuned like any other code change, and versioned alongside your application. For security leaders, this means fewer false positives, better threat visibility, and protection that evolves as fast as the application does, with no extra infrastructure or operational overhead. Arcjet provides SDKs for JavaScript and TypeScript (Node.js, Bun, Deno, Next.js, SvelteKit, Astro, Nuxt, and more), plus Go and Python.

## Arcjet Reviews
 ### 1. Arcjet Makes API Security Integration Simple and Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chidume K. | Technical Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

What I like most about Arcjet is how easy it makes it to integrate security features into an application. The rate-limiting feature was especially useful because it let me protect my API from excessive requests by automatically rejecting repeated calls within a defined time window. It was simple to configure, and the documentation helped keep the implementation process smooth.

The main downside I ran into was during development. Because I was constantly testing and making frequent API calls, the rate limiting would often end up blocking my own requests. To make development easier, I had to raise the limit or temporarily disable rate limiting in my development environment. That said, it wasn’t a problem in production, where it worked exactly as intended and did a good job protecting my API from abuse.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

One thing I disliked was that the bot protection occasionally flagged some of my legitimate requests as bot traffic during development and testing. Since I was making many rapid requests while debugging, I sometimes had to adjust or temporarily disable the protection in my development environment. It would be helpful to have an easier way to distinguish trusted development traffic from actual bot activity.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Arcjet solves the problem of securing web applications against abuse without requiring developers to build complex security systems from scratch. In my case, it helped me protect my API by implementing rate limiting, preventing excessive or repeated requests within a specified time window. This reduced the risk of abuse while allowing me to focus on developing the application instead of writing custom security logic. It also provided bot protection, helping safeguard the application from automated traffic once it was deployed to production.

 ### 2. Easy Arcjet Integration for Strong AI Security Controls

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samriddhi S. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

I used Arcjet in a personal AI banking project for PII detection and setting token/usage limits. It was really easy to integrate, and I liked that I could add security controls directly into the application instead of building them from scratch. For an AI application handling sensitive financial data, it made it much easier to control what could reach the model and prevent excessive usage.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

The only downside for me was that it could get a bit expensive if you move beyond a small personal project. I’d love to see a more generous free tier for experimenting and smaller projects.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me protect sensitive financial data in my AI banking app with PII detection and control AI usage with token limits, without having to build those security features from scratch.

 ### 3. Simple Integration, Cost-Effective, and Rock-Solid Performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corey S. | Founder, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

Arcjet is simple to integrate with the leading AI agents and cost effective with the features offered. The interface is simple to use especially for someone who is using Arcjet on a personal project. The traffic on my site is moderate and Arcjet has handled it without interruption or error.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

Genuinely nothing. Everything I need Arcjet to police it does so without issue.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Arcjet to stop malicious attacks and bot scraping.

 ### 4. Impressive Security with Flexible Middleware

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

I find Arcjet pretty simple as it runs on middleware, and its SDKs are pretty good. I appreciate the first-party support for Next.js, FastAPI, and Flask, which I use, as many other services lack such coverage. Arcjet provides security for my email validation fields against spam. It's pretty good for what it does and quite flexible. The setup was pretty easy, and now with the skills, it's even easier. I appreciate the good documentation as well.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

I wish there was first-party support for the 10stack router in the SDKs. I know there's React router, but I'd prefer 10stack. Also, there's just a lack of information on the dashboard, and I feel like it could look a bit cooler. I'm not sure if Arcjet has built-in rate limiting because we use Redis for that.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Arcjet helps with email validation, spam protection, and bot filtering. It ensures my validation fields are secure without needing extra work. I use it for blocking internet crawlers, and it gives confidence that spam won't affect my fields.

 ### 5. Generous Free Tier and Excellent Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohan S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

It’s very easy to use, with a generous free tier and an excellent dashboard that makes everything straightforward to manage.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

Nothing so far. I’m using the free tier, so I can’t really complain about anything. They’re already giving more than enough for what I need.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m building a startup and can’t share much yet, since I need to maintain confidentiality at this early stage.

 ### 6. Arcjet Makes Free Trial Abuse Prevention Seamless in an AI App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

I like how Arcjet allows me to determine whether or not users have used our free trials before. It enables our team to prevent free trial abusers quite easily.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

My only gripe is the datacenter/hosting network labels. I don't fully understand it compared to a VPN, and I'm not sure what the risk levels are. That's it though.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Arcjet enables me to prevent free trial abuse.

 ### 7. Arcjet Makes Endpoint Security Setup Quick and Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

It’s easy to set up basic security for my endpoints. I can integrate Arcjet directly into my system with the least amount of setup.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

The web interface could offer a few more view options, rather than only showing requests in one long list.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It quickly gave my web app a solid starting point for security, which I can build on from there.

 ### 8. User-Friendly and Effortless Integration with Arcjet

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

I like Arcjet because it's easy to integrate into my code and has a user-friendly dashboard. Setting it up was very simple, which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

I find the detailed weekly reports lacking or problematic.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Arcjet for bot protection and rate limiting, solving constant bot scraping. It's easy to integrate into code and has a user-friendly dashboard.

 ### 9. Minimal UI and Powerful Features Tailored to My Projects

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

Its minimal UI, options related to my project and crazy features

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

Quite complex. It was not easy to learn .

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting key API endpoints from bot and AI traffic, improving reliability and cost efficiency.

 ### 11. Works well with Lucia and Sveltekit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Arcjet?**

Easy to implement, has documentation for lots of backends. I integrated with sveltekit and found it easy to figure out.

**What do you dislike about Arcjet?**

Nothing significant to dislike, besides the price increase.

**What problems is Arcjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Lucia auth with sveltekit for authentication, but that solution is self-hosted. This is great for a few reasons, but can also miss out on some of the extra features that other auth providers have, such as bot detection and login form stuffing. Arcjet helps prevent those and provides a layer of security for my authentication, and the whole site.
