ArcGIS Online is a cloud-based mapping and analysis software. It's great at analyzing map data, which you can import or export, and it offers its own Esri-curated content. ArcGIS is the industry standard and you won't find another product like it. The Online version is good for entry-level users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ArcGIS Online isn't as powerful as ArcGIS Pro. It's also not great at quickly updating its layers. For example: if I import data and run analysis on it, but want to change one entry in the data, I need to delete the layer, make the change in Excel, import the new data, and rerun the analysis. The standard applications provided by application builder are too simple, widgets do not stand up. The user interface is not very friendly, specially for editing. Managing AGOL can be cumbersome; one has to use third party tools to manage users and mailing lists.

Organization of items is not easy to achieve. Everything goes to the root directory by default, and when moving from one user to another, does not create directories by default.
