Geographic Information Systems Analyst Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 6/6/2024 "ArcGIS is good for what it is...but ESRI's monopoly on the GIS marketplace needs to be challenged!" 4/5 What do you like best about ArcGIS Online? Now if you have an ArcGIS subscription and keep up on your credits then yes, this product is great. This product will give you access to various common ways of visualizing data and you will be able to share with the ESRI community your datasets pretty much by default. Also ESRI has a LOT OF VALUABLE DATA you can utilize to your heart's content (provided that you have the credits to make requests to pull that data) that would really be hard to find elsewhere. I like it, but ESRI needs to be knocked off their high horse still, in my opinion! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ArcGIS Online? Can't stand how ESRI is charging an arm and a leg nowadays! I mean, I have used arcGIS online A LOT during my career. And it's easy to sign up and integrate with your copy of arcGIS Pro. Customer support is good but they try to push their community forums on you a bit too much in my opinion. Regarding frequency of use, you'll be using it more if their credits weren't so EXPENSIVE!!! I recommend using an experience tech to satrt the process. They can provide a great resource for future issues. ESRI is a great customer resource too! What do you dislike about ArcGIS Online? While ArcGIS Online is a robust and comprehensive platform, there are a few areas of opportunity that could enhance the user experience. The cost of subscription plans might be a consideration for smaller businesses. Introducing more flexible pricing options or a tiered structure could make the platform more accommodating to different budget constraints. The credit system that the platform manages seems good to me, perhaps a greater number of them could also be offered, allowing you to carry out more complex practices. ArcGis Online has the necessary functions to perform data analysis that includes locations or can be displayed on a map. I have been able to use the tool for education and consulting, in the first I give professionals who are about to graduate from a university degree more tools to perform effective data analysis. I recently got into ArcGIS online development to show employers my knowledge in mapping technology as well as how I can easily integrate Salesforce Sales Cloud / Maps with ArcGIS online cloud services. None of note. The UI is easy to understand and navigate and the learning curve to use ArcGIS online per se is not too steep. Even without tutorial videos, I can easily click around to find out where everything is, and as my ArcGIS online instructor says, when mapping, it's easy to find useful hidden capabilities if you right-click on data points such as buildings (vectors), addresses (points), and streets (lines).
