ArcGIS Navigator is an easy application and software to navigate, especially the StoryMaps feature! Recently started using StoryMaps to interact with the public while remaining on a virtual platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS Navigator?

It took a little time to get used to how to use the program, but once you mess around on it for a little while it's easy to get a hang of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ArcGIS Navigator?

Having ArcGIS Navigator is convenient. ESRI shapefile manipulation provides interface for routes. No need to go to CAD or convert to KML for Google. Navigator provides directions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS Navigator?

There is little interface manipulation available. This can make Navigator tool locked in one place.

Shapefile manipulation is time consuming with micro-management. Rather than auto snap lines, rerouting requires Point and Line deletion and recreation followed by recalculation of route. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Navigator:

This is more of an add on feature to use with Network Analyst routing and building Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ArcGIS Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Needing coordinate system points for a GTFS, I used ArcMap Network Analyst to create continuity of a transit network. The Navigator feature recognized expected distances and verified connected routes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ArcGIS Navigator?

App is very stable, written in standard iOS SDK design principles. Missing some of the flash of more advanced directional navigation, but shines with data creation tools. Turn by turn navigation integrated with the data generation and creation tools would be a logical progression of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS Navigator?

Basic navigation functions users expect from larger platforms is missing. It is difficult to create such a data generation platform on mobile devices, however there are not many mainstream tools in this space, so this app does fill a gap in user need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
