ARCAD Transformer RPG is an automated IBM i source code modernization solution designed to convert legacy RPG IV (RPGLE) applications to modern RPG Free Form. The solution automates the conversion of RPG IV code, including calculation specifications (C), declaration specifications (H, F, D, P), and GOTO statements. It supports both individual and mass conversions, with conversion rates close to 100%. ARCAD Transformer RPG also provides a visual comparison between the original RPG IV code and the converted RPG Free Form code, helping development teams review and validate the transformation. By automating RPG modernization while retaining the existing IBM i architecture and execution performance, ARCAD Transformer RPG helps organizations improve code readability and maintainability, reduce the effort and risk associated with manual conversion, accelerate developer onboarding, and extend the life of business-critical IBM i applications.
