ARCAD Skipper is a source code management and version control solution for IBM i applications, designed to bring modern versioning practices and Git capabilities to IBM i development teams. The solution enables teams to manage IBM i source code through either traditional version control or Git, while supporting a common source repository across IBM i and distributed environments. Flexible Git branching models help teams manage concurrent development and multiple application releases. ARCAD Skipper provides check-in/check-out capabilities to control source code changes, supports parallel development, and enables shared source changes to be safely merged. Built-in validation and consistency checks help maintain the integrity and quality of application components throughout the development lifecycle. Integrated with RDi and VS Code, ARCAD Skipper allows IBM i developers to adopt modern source code management practices within familiar development environments. It helps teams improve collaboration, control application changes, manage concurrent versions, and integrate IBM i development into enterprise DevOps workflows.
