ARCAD Observer is an IBM i application analysis and visualization solution designed to help development teams quickly understand complex application architectures, business rules, and dependencies. The solution provides application-wide cross-referencing and detailed impact analysis, enabling developers to identify relationships and dependencies down to the source line and field level. This helps teams assess the impact of changes before modifying an application and make maintenance activities faster and more accurate. ARCAD Observer provides graphical views of IBM i applications through I/O diagrams, workflow diagrams, database relationship models, and program and procedure calling chains. It also offers high-level functional views of application architecture and detailed database relationship analysis. The solution automatically generates up-to-date technical documentation and can output application architecture documentation directly to Atlassian Confluence. Accessible from 5250, RDi, and VS Code, ARCAD Observer helps teams accelerate application understanding, improve impact analysis and project planning, and simplify the maintenance of complex IBM i applications.
