ArborXR allows me to manage multiple VR headsets and the experiences associated to them so that I can easily organise and maintain them in our very busy secondary school library and iLab. We use Arbor for deploying custom content and apps to multiple headsets. Both internally, but mostly for clients. It's a huge time-saver and we are so happy that we have found this solution. Mass-deployment for custom APKs/Content for multiple VR-headsets. The fact that we can now deploy solutions to all headsets that are to be deliverabled is a great time saver. We are just getting started with ArborXR and I have not found anything so far that I dislike. The website is highly responsive and reliable. Setting up groups of headsets and experiences is a breeze. This system is unstoppable when paired with a browser such as Wolvic to sync bookmarks. Being a school with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, we have many uses for virtual reality. Creating an experience for a group of headsets practically on the fly is a massive time saver. There is a bit of a hassle with Meta headsets. Bringing them into developer mode is a challenge. However, this is not the fault of ArborXR, it is a limitation of Meta headsets. Time spent in prepping devices for an immersive classroom with VR HMDs used to be significantly more than the actual class time, and it would still result in some glitches that result in a poor VR experience for some students. The main benefit of ArborXR is the battery monitoring on our VR devices saves me and my team's valuable time in gathering the low-power headsets before my classroom sessions. I also love the fact that they offer 50 free devices. Further, the potential to work across multiple devices and the possibility of the kiosk/custom launcher helps lock down the HMD and prevent access to unauthorized apps. This is one of the major concerns when running back-to-back classes all-day with over 30 devices in-person. I am sure this benefit is compounded multiple times for online courses. The interface is so simple and easy to navigate, I love how easy it is to put a headset into kiosk mode. The online resources are very good and easy to understand. Sometimes when you launch a headset in kiosk mode it comes up with a warning screen saying nothing is loaded, and then launches the app. I have spoken to someone about it so hopefully, it will be resolved in the future. We used to use Oculus Go headsets and the process of putting them into kiosk mode was sp time-consuming. Now we have all the pico headsets on the dashboard, I can keep track of them, put them in and out of kiosk mode as needed and update remoteley. ARBORXR is capable to monitor as the hardware and the software installed in every VR device of my organization, which reduces time and cost managing the whole infrastructure.
