The apps scaling is a little less finely tuned than I'd like. Cpu and ram scale together vs maybe a little more separately. Currently, in order to scale for cpu, one also has to scale ram at the same rate and increase costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Aptible offers a really easy to use set of features on top of AWS, making our lives managing HIPAA-compliant cloud services much easier. Deploying new builds is a snap, and the set of features supporting hosting is robust. It has hugely increased our ability to innovate and stay inside regulatory lines. The Aptible documentation is sparse. There are items that cover most topics, but we often have to dive out of the site to other places to learn more about how to proceed. Would be great to have access to a machine instead of directly to a container, I mean, for example, we can’t save media files locally, for that is needed to send this kind of file to S3 for example. Having worked with numerous health-related projects, having ways to guarantee HIPAA compliance from a platform perspective is pretty awesome. That leaves the rest of the hassle to internal operations, which –especially on international teams– is already pretty messy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The lack of documentation for a platform intended for developers is completely baffling to me. A lot of the entries are just a few sentences long, at most, and don't really cover more than the obvious. Most CLI commands only describe what arguments they support, not what they do. These commands include delicate operations of the app like DB management where you shouldn't be questioning whether your interpretation of an ambiguous paragraph is right or wrong.

Some operations that would seem basic don't seem to be supported. Renaming our instances meant a small migration for us, and there is no way to specify aliases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
