## APS Reviews
  ### 1. Great interface, user friendly, good customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about APS?**

The interface of APS is great to use. It is very user friendly, and has a great support system where you can look up articles or create a support ticket. The support team responds back quickly.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

While the support system is great, it would be nice to have a designated support manager to go to when something goes wrong.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to make keeping track of time and scheduling more automated.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!

We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the APS interface and finding the platform user-friendly. It’s also great to know that our support resources and ticket response times have been helpful for your team.

We appreciate your suggestion regarding a designated support manager, and are consistently looking for ways to improve.

Thank you for being a valued APS customer — we truly appreciate your partnership!

  ### 2. Easy to use - Highly Recommend!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allison W. | Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

It auto inputs the data straight from the system after you have approved the payroll. This is helpful and a time saver instead of inputting each person separately.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I have some employees that receive an "advance" on their paychecks. APS has a way to do that but it does not automatically subtract the amount due--you must manually calculate that. It is not a huge hindrance as it is not needed every payroll session.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a time saver and helps keep me accurate on all time logs and data entry. It also allows employees to access it themselves instead of asking me questions regarding their hours/pay.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Hi Allison, thank you for updating your review and sharing more about your experience with APS! We're so glad to hear that the platform has been a time-saver for you and helps keep things accurate and efficient. It’s great to know that your employees are benefiting from the self-service access, too!

We appreciate you pointing out the process around paycheck advances—feedback like this helps us continue to improve. Thanks again for recommending APS and for being a valued part of our community!

  ### 3. Simplicity meets Reliability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

I like how many options there are to configure user settings, including multiple available clock in methods.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There are some settings that simply have to be tried out before realizing how they need to be configured.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves bringing together all of our establishments under the same system to manage time cards & employees.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful update! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the flexibility of APS, especially when it comes to user settings and clock-in options. We understand that some configurations can require trial and error, and we’re always here to support you through that process. It's great to know APS is helping unify your time and employee management across locations — we appreciate the opportunity to support your team.

**What do you like best about APS?**

I Love that APS is easy to use, has amazing customer service,I can perform all my HR and payroll functions all in one location, and the lastest and greatest is that I can now link my benefit enrollment to APS to save time when uploading all information.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The downside to APS is they don't have a calculator to pre-calculate a paycheck.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS has allowed me to have all my onboarding in one place. And this year we are using the performance manager feature, allowing all reviews to be done on this site. So easy to create and use

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Hi Shaya, thank you for updating your review and continuing to share your experience with APS! ### 9. Ease of Use and Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about APS?**

The Support is most helpful and the reports are extremely useful when analyzing payroll data

**What do you dislike about APS?**

During the COVID pandemic, it was challenging to get support on the phone for difficult issues regarding the system

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems at the current time but when the labor department needs information regarding our employee labor the information is easy to obtain from the APS system. In addition, I need to report payroll number for end of year processing,
and if any agencies like LWCC need information; this provides the information that is needed. This makes my day a little easier. APS is flexible in that it is easy to handle the general ledger.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Thank you for updating your review and for continuing to share your experience with APS! We're so glad to hear that our support team has been helpful and that our reporting features have made a difference for your payroll analysis. We also appreciate your honesty about the challenges during the pandemic—your feedback helps us grow and better support our clients moving forward.

We truly value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your team in the years ahead!

  ### 10. Can't beat the customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

My team appreciates the teamwork and helpful customer service. I am confident any question or issue I may have is met with respect and prompt attention. If the resolution isn't given at the first response, it is escalated to a higher consult. In every case, my team and I feel that our questions / situations are always important and that the APS team will work quickly to resolve any issue and answer all requests. They target issues with great diligence.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I'm not completely sold on the time and attendance just yet, but it was way better than it was before. There are tools to track and maintain CA compliance with missed meal periods, but not to my convinience, but my inquiry has been heard and follow has been within reasonable time. I appreciate the opportunity to be heard and feel that my concerns are real to the APS team as they are to me.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is so comforting to have the support opening up new concepts within a brief window and have teams - not just one person, but constant teamwork at APS to ensure our concepts go live without issue. The implementation teams, back end teams, support teams are a truly unified team that helps our business be set up quickly and in motion.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Elizabeth, thank you for your amazing review! We're glad you and your team appreciate our teamwork and helpful customer service. We value your feedback on the time and attendance feature and are working to improve it. It's great to hear that our unified teams have supported your business effectively. Thank you for choosing APS!

  ### 11. Love APS/eselfserve!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marilyn N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS has improved the software with Early Access options that use to be APS staff only options. Our staff continue to use the app with ease and reliability. It is rare for staff to have an issue with the eselfserve app.

Customer Service team is so prompt and helpful. I normall use the online ticket but there have been times I can't wait and the staff are simply awesome!

APS NewHire, HR Support and resources have exceeded my expectations. New hires come on first day with all the paperwork completed and I'm not having to track down one form, etc. It is all in one place and helps me do my job better.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only downside I have is when I'm not near computer and need to do something in APS. It is not phone friendly. I would love to see it as an option in the future. Maybe not all features but some.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

For us it has been the best solution for HR, Payroll, New Hires (application, interview, onboarding and smooth transition into payroll). We have just started the Performance/Review process and so far is going really well as is Open Enrollment for benefits which is the first time doing it via a system and not all paperwork. Everything under one roof.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HR Professional support has been HUGE. We are small organization and to have such great resources at my finger tips is a life saver and cost savings as well.

Time off request, calendars and ability for employees to know their balences of PTO, sick, etc is HUGE. Plus, I don't have to print out vouchers anymore.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Thank you so much for your amazing review, Marilyn! We're glad APS' Early Access options, eSS app, and customer service have been helpful. We appreciate your feedback on the mobile experience and will work on improvements. Your positive comments on our HR, payroll, and onboarding solutions are appreciated. We're pleased the performance review and open enrollment processes are going well. It's great to know our HR support and features like time-off requests have been valuable. Thank you for choosing APS!

  ### 12. All In One Solution for ATS, HR & Payroll

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS is very user friendly and everything is in one place. Implementation overall was easy and you have a dedicated Project Manager that is with you every step of the way. The Support Teams that you use for questions or issues once you are out of implementation are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! A big reason for our company switching to APS from our former payroll provider was that the service was absolutely terrible, it would take weeks, sometimes months to have issues resolved. With APS when I have a question or a problem, I submit a request and they get back to me the same day, usually within minutes! The Sales team is also very supportive and makes sure to make things right by any means necessary. I use the system daily and the ease of navigation is wonderful!

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There are two things that I won't say I dislike, but I would change. First, I would do the overall system training on HR related features before the payroll training. There were plenty of questions I had during implementation that I had to ask my PM about that if I had gotten the HR training first, I would have never had to ask. Secondly, I would like to see the eSS App be able to do more. APS has been great about this and told us of updates they have upcoming and have invited us to beta test new versions.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS is helping us keep everything in one place as it relates to our HR and employee records. No more paper forms being lost or not filled out in their entiretly. It is also helping us to be consistent and compliant with I-9 documentation and e-verify for all new hires.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find APS user-friendly and that your support team has been phenomenal in addressing your questions and issues, Amber. We appreciate your feedback on the system training and the eSS App, and we will take this into consideration for future improvements. We're glad to hear that APS is helping you keep everything in one place and ensuring consistency and compliance with HR and employee records. Thank you for choosing APS!

  ### 13. APS makes payroll easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

I like the format of the payroll time cards/forms. I like that any time we have a question they are very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We've had to modify somethings we had been doing...we went from paper to outsourcing payroll to APS. They made it easy but some internal decisions had to be made to make it work. Working with HR module now to set up benefits. They have been very helpul.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More accurate work time reflection. Ability to for supervisors to monitor effectively. Easy to submit payroll. If we have errors, APS works with us to resolve them quickly.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> We appreciate you sharing your experience with APS! We’re glad our platform has simplified payroll and that our team has been helpful. Your insights on time accuracy and monitoring are invaluable, and we’re excited to continue supporting your success. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 14. great implementation experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon J. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

The implementation from old system to new was great. It was well communicated and expectations and deadlines were met on both sides. The system is easy to use. the customer service has been great to work with as well anytime we had a question.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I have not had any dislikes up to this point.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have access to reporting quickly and there is a report for anything we would need.
The employee onboarding has cut down the amount of time needed by our staff to start a new employee.
We are able to get our job openings out to more people with the applicant tracking system.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with our APS system, Shannon! We're thrilled to hear that the implementation process was smooth and that you find the system easy to use. It's great to know that our customer service team has been helpful to you as well.

  ### 15. Many wonderful facets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa A. T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

I love the dedicated team-customer support to your business. I love that there is more than one way to reach someone. You can call for things more urgent and message for things that can wait. Many of the things were are currently using are very easy to use. I love how easy it is to upload documents into the system.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We have had some difficulty with our ease of integration with some of our systems. Implemenation has been more timely than anticipated. There are some features that we are very surprised that are not part of APS's standards. Some of the reports needed are just not possible with the way things are set up in the system.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS is getting all of our needs into one platform so we arent having to use so many.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Melissa, thank you for your review! We're glad you appreciate our dedicated support team, the multiple contact options, and the ease of uploading documents. We value your feedback on integration and implementation times and will work on improving these areas. We're pleased that APS helps consolidate your needs into one platform. If you have further suggestions or need assistance, please reach out!

  ### 16. Consistent Quality & Top Notch Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas W. | Vice President of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2020

**What do you like best about APS?**

The Quality of Customer Services is amazing. They have a team assigned to your account that responds promptly and with quality solutions. They also have services they provide and process paperwork for you at times which aids in getting your work done efficiently. All the staff I have encountered have been friendly and helpful to work with.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I believe some added functionality to the reporting options on the program could be expanded, but they are not terrible. They have a solid foundation that just needs expanded.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

I would recommend APS Payroll to any company that is looking for a quality system for their payroll and HR, but also at a fair cost that won't break your bank.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We save time on benefits options, employee reviews, filing of documents, correcting time for payroll.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for your wonderful review, Nicholas! We're glad to hear the APS platform is helping you save time on benefits options, employee reviews, and payroll. We appreciate your constructive feedback regarding our reporting functionality and will pass that along. Thank you for taking the time to review us and for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 17. Works well to track PTO; add new employess, etc.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

Ability to add Employee information; add events; report PTO, etc.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

It can be difficult to find the information needed. Making changes is not always intuitive. For example, if I appove weekly time and need to go back and make changed, there is a "lock" symbol. I always forget how to unlock and usually just call customer service. Customer Service is exellent. They have always been fast and courteous.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good tracking for employee "events". Good implementation for new employee information.

**Official Response from Hope Dasher:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback on G2! We’re glad APS is supporting your PTO tracking, employee info management, and onboarding needs.

Your insights on navigating time approval and unlocking features are valuable, and I’ll share them with our Product team as they work to streamline these areas. It’s great to hear that our Customer Service team has been able to assist quickly and courteously!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 18. Payroll for a Real Estate Company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonya M. | Payroll Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS is a very user friendly software. If I ever have any issues my support team at APS is always ready and available to help. Web based so if I ever have the need I can work from home. They continue to make updates on the program and add new features. We are a growing company and APS continue to meet our needs.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I can't think of any dislikes. The only thing I can think of is it is technology and there will be always be glitches. But with a great admin team we can work through any issues that may arise.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now using the HR portal for entering employee benefits. The HR portal has been a very useful feature in our company.

  ### 19. Great TPA for any size of company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

It is easy to navigate, has user-friendly features, and has excellent customer support! I use the software daily, which is essential to my job functions.

I enjoy the software. I don't have any complaints. When I do run into an issue, APS is quick to resolve any problems.

  ### 20. APS - Great Choice for Mid-Size Operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie F. | Director of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS allows the integration of payroll and all things Human Resources. We use the system for recruiting, job posts, candidate contact via text/email, background, drug screen, onboarding, employee communication, performance reviews, discipline tracking, training sign-up and tracking, benefits enrollment, electronic W-2 and 1095C's, and vac and sick time tracking. I am sure I missed something, but you can use the system for almost everything! It was easy to implement, customer support is always responsive, and because of our timezone difference, when I open a ticket at the end of my day, I generally have an answer the next morning.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The scheduling feature is lacking and needs development. The performance evaluation approval process needs an update. It omits the department director from the approval process. I wish there were a way to integrate surveys for staff (EE pulse surveys + EE event sign-up, etc.) Also, the electronic filing system needs further development. We have had to restrict all access to EE files from their managers, which can be a barrier when managers are moving staff along in the discipline process. While we have found a successful workaround, I would like to see this resolved.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS was our 2nd attempt at moving away from paper HR (applicants, onboarding, NH paperwork, I-9, Drug-Screen-Background, Benefits, W2's etc. APS has made not only that possible, but we are now ALL paperless as it relates to the HR function. The insurance integration/signup process has helped alleviate steps with manual benefit enrollments, drops, additions, etc.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Stephanie, we're thrilled to hear that APS has been a great choice for your mid-size operations and has helped you transition to a paperless HR function. We understand your concerns about the scheduling feature, performance evaluation approval process, and electronic filing system, and we will take these into account for future enhancements. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 21. Transition to APS

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

Responsive support team. Carly, with Benefits is a fantastic trainer. The reports are handy and easy to pull.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The transition/implementation stage from our previous payroll software to APS has been extremely challenging. We were told all information (employee files/documents, etc) would transfer over which was not the case. It took several weeks or downloading and uploading into APS to complete this task. We paid APS to do this and they said it'd take months which we didn't have so we had to do it. Each part of the system seems more complicated than it needs to be and doesn't speak to eachother. For example, onboarding new employees must use work email but APS doesn't realized the employee doesn't have access to their work email until first day so they can't do pre-onboarding tasks. Or we need to set it up with personal and remember each time to change it. We get a response quickly but most tasks seem to be pushed back to us to figure out verses someone at APS implementing. (ensuring all our deductions are pulling correctly- STD, PTO, etc. Overall, it hasn't been as user-friendly as we were promised. The employees miss the convenience of the company calendar.
The recruitment piece also seems to be cumbersome. Each candidate needs to be pushed through the system, even if they aren't recruited and hired through APS. We are told to watch the tutorials (which some aren't the most current software) and it's challenging to know what questions to ask when we don't know what we are missing.

We are hoping the software will become more comfortable as we continue to use it but it's been almost 6 months and we continue to find things that just weren't explained. Having an ON SITE support assistance for a day or two (week?) through this transition/implemenation stage would have been ideal. So much gets lost or missed when connecting virtually. We need someone onsite to really see what we're looking at and ensure we're not missing what we don't know.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hoping ASP will assist with the ease of recruiting and onboarding which would save numerous hours each week on our HR Manager.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with APS. We are pleased to hear that you find our support team to be responsive and that the reports are handy and easy to pull. We apologize for the challenges you faced during the transition/implementation stage. We understand the importance of a seamless transition and will work to improve this process for future clients. We will also take your feedback about the system's complexity and the onboarding process into consideration for future enhancements.

  ### 22. APS system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about APS?**

Duration of payroll processing; responsiveness of team to inquiries, HR support. Ease of system.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Loss of date driven updates (future effective dates) to "immediately effective" updates. Multiple setups for the same benefit for varying circumstances; previously these were addressed at the employee record level. Report creation limits (some report are all or nothing and can't combine elements selectively. Doesn't provide for a point oroccurrence system. Doesn't not manage intermittent FMLA leave through the leave process.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

Know what non-negotiables are; ask how the non-negotiables will be addressed in APS. recogniize when existing processes can be improved using APS mechanics.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee access to time cards and PTO requests, integrated calendars. Open enrollment renewal.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for updating your review! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying the payroll processing and that our system is effectively handling your timecard and PTO requests. We're committed to your continued success and look forward to supporting you in the years ahead. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 23. APS Fits Us Like A Glove

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS is quick to respond to issues, and advise solutions. There are multiple avenues of reaching support, and the response is always timely. The program itself is simple to use and performs consistently well. Even during after hours team support is possible. The knowledge base is extensive and you can learn a lot of answers by watching the videos or reading the section you need help with. Onboarding has improved since we started, making hiring easier.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Rarely, when the final payroll step of send has not been completed, APS has contacted the office number instead of the cell phone number I have requested to be used. Even an email alert would have been preferable. Loggin on and finding the following day that I missed a deadline is disconcerting. In addition, in doing research on a missing direct deposit, I am had to prompt for resolution instead of options being offered. Havind said that, there is always a difference of strengths and weaknesses amoung staff. It did not take long to learn which of my "TEAM" was most knowledgeable. After several years with one team, we were recently switched to a new team we are learning now.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

Reports are extremely helpful in filing out required Unemployment Forms etc.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS was prepared for Covid tracking and were able to provide the reports for PPA requirements and other grant requirements. The instructions were so clear, I was able to create my own responses without asking for assistance. Reposts for OSHA reporting and tracking are also readily available. It is possible when a location does not double check banking information, to appply tracking to direct deposit payroll. In more than one instance we had an employee claim non receipt and we were able to prove the funds were deposited into the requested account. There is a fee involved that is minimal.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Thank you for taking the time to review APS! We're glad you appreciate APS's quick responses, user-friendly program, and improved onboarding. We value your feedback on payroll communication and will work on it. We're pleased you found our reports helpful and that APS supported your Covid tracking needs effectively. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

We enjoy the security of knowing APS is a competent payroll partner that will ensure all aspects of payroll requirements are met.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Generally, our assigned APS team is able to help. There are occasions that response times are longer than our preference for help as they have been elevated to another team for resolution.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS enables us to utilize a Payroll platform that we can trust to help us manage our employee hours, payroll and benefit enrollment selections and deductions. In addition, our employees are able to easily have access to the eSELFSERVE application to regularly review and access all information.

**Official Response from Casey Chaudoir, MBA:**

> It's great to hear that APS is helping you manage employee hours, payroll, and benefits enrollment, as well as providing easy access to information for your employees! We apologize for any inconvenience caused by a delayed response, and we appreciate your understanding.

**What do you like best about APS?**

The system provides the most important and essentail needs for an HRIS. The system is also very cutomizable and customer service responds very quickly.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There is still a lot left to be desired from the system, like a more efficient and easy to set up organizational chart, peer to peer or 360 degree evaluations, succession planning, company culture building features, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

If you want a one stop shop for all your HR needs, APS does the trick.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS has helped us keep us everything together in one platform such as payroll, evaluations, onboarding, employee documents, and tracking of training.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with APS over the last five years! We're glad to hear that our system has been essential in meeting your HR needs and that you appreciate its customization and responsive customer service. HR, Payroll, and employee management all in one easy to use platform for a small business

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback about our support team, Sam! We're thrilled to hear that you find them responsive and helpful. **What do you like best about APS?**

APS support is always available, and they always have an answer to our questions that fits exactly what we need.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We do not use all the time clock functions in APS and would like to completely disable these options so they do not show for users.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can process payroll in less than 10 minutes each week.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you find our support professional and knowledgeable. We understand your concern about unused time clock functions displaying for your users, and we would love the opportunity to discuss this further. ### 28. Excellent Third Party Payroll Company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

I like that they have helpful customer service representatives and are responsive.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

It's tough to set up insurance and accruals & know that I completed all the steps that I need to in all the places I need to. I only complete it once a year, so it is a lot of remembering how I did it last year.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not have to calculate and pay all of the quarterly taxes. I don't have to do percentage splits by property. They are solving my payroll work load and taking that off of me.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with APS! It's great to hear that you've found our customer service representatives helpful and responsive.
I understand your concerns about the complexity of setting up insurance and accruals, especially since it's a task you only do once a year. Your support team will always be a call away if you need help. Your feedback is valuable in highlighting both the strengths of APS and areas where improvements could be made. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 29. Working with APS has been great! They're super responsive and I have always had positive experiences

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

The fast reponse time with APS has been outstanding. Any time I have a question there is a well organized set of tutorials I can search or they answer my question with a custom walk through and it is awesome.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We run our payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff so there are little tweaks we have to make to accomodate that.

PTO for our non-exept staff draws from the next pay cycle, so at the start of each year I have to audit all of our non-exempt staff's PTO to give then back their time off from the last pay period.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that I am bringing in applicants with APS and then when we hire them it seamlessly puts them in our onboarding pipeline and then into our management system. So helpful!

**Official Response from Casey Chaudoir, MBA:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you have had a positive experience with APS and that our responsiveness and support have been outstanding. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that our tutorials and custom walk-throughs have been helpful for you!

I like that APS is very simple and easy to manage. I use it daily and find that there are a number of features that are helpful in my day to day tasks.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Some of the report building is tedious but usually I can figure out what I need without customer support.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS eliminates all of the manual and paper work that comes with human resources and payroll.
the easy online tracking of applicants to mobile applications for timekeeping, it's an all inclusive program.

When evaluating HRIS/Payroll systems, we talked to more than 10 companies and APS' support along the way, follow-up, and attention to detail was unwaivering throughout the entire process. Two years later, they continue to deliver white glove service! Special Shout-out to support Team 9 (Honeybees).

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There's nothing I would change about APS! Truley, if they make sense for your company, dive-in!

APS has been able to update the way that we handle our payroll. We have time clocks that allow me to adjust, enter and correct time for our employees and really streamline all payroll issues that I have

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Some of the reporting features don't give me all of the information that I need because of the line of work that we have. But one quick call and my helpdesk gets me where I need to be.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time clock issues, as well as taking care of taxes and such

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

**What do you like best about APS?**

I like that APS has a team that will answer your call without waiting on hold for 30 minutes. I also like the nofication to employee feature.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The down side for me is that APS time keeping does not separate a temporary associate out from a regular employee. All new temps entered for time only are reported to the state as a new employee. It would be nice to have the option to record time only.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefit enrollment was done easily this year with out any issues. The new feature of considering hire dates for payroll has been a great help.
The new feature that shows the terminated employees when processing payroll helps as a reminder and in calulating final checks

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Thank you for your review, Dawn! We're glad you appreciate our responsive support team and the employee notification feature. We value your feedback on timekeeping for temporary associates and will consider it for future improvements. **Recommendations to others considering APS:**

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We need a different option for collecting performance review information that they do not provide.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

Everyone at APS has been wonderful to work with. From our sales rep Ben to our trainer Riza and account manager Eric. They have been very helpful with any questions and responding quickly. The system is so much easier for our employees and myself as the admin. Our old payroll system was very cumbersome. With APS I am excited to be able to offer more features to my leadership team. Our employees are loving the ESelfServe app.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only downside is why didn't we switch to APS years ago!!!

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old system was very cumbersome. Payroll would take me up to an hour to process. With APS it will take minutes. I also love that I can schedule reports to automatically run and sent to my leadership team. We also did not have a good system for employee tracking. We are very excited to start utilizing the HR features such as tracking training and employee performance. The document storage is a great feature to have one area to collect employee information.

  ### 44. Customer Support/Ease of Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about APS?**

Using the APS paltform is very easy to use, there are multiple features that you can adjsut for how you like to see things or turn on/off more complex features. The capability to be able to record very specific items and keeps thigns in one place/platform is really nice and keeps up efficiency.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I wish there were a few things that could be a little more customizable for some settings and also more custimiable options for some pre generated reports.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using APS has reduced our duplicating of data for employees time. It has increased our efficiney for data records and payroll processing.

**Official Response from Casey Chaudoir, MBA:**

> It's great to hear that APS has reduced duplicating of data and increased efficiency for your organization. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions for more customizable settings.

  ### 45. User Friendly and Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kanikia F. | Corporate Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about APS?**

The APS payroll system is user-friendly. The system is really easy to use and the training process allows multiple employees to train at one time. The customer service is great. I have spoken with several team members on many different occasions and every team member is eager to help and provide great responses. Whenever I have an issue (which is not often), my questions are answered promptly with resolution. I also like the quarterly updates. The quarterly updates are live webinars that are also recorded for later review. The quarterly updates keep the users informed of upcoming changes and system enhancement.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I haven't found many things to dislike about the APS Payroll solutions. I have encountered some issues with salary setup. There are a few preferences that I am not able to receive at the moment. However, I have had APS team members reach out to myself and colleagues in regards to changes.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

If you are looking for a system that will save you time, streamline your payroll process, and is user-friendly, APS is a great choice. APS Payroll Solutions provides excellent customer service. The team members are work are to help solve any issues and they provide reminders for you to ensure that all requested information is needed

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the problems that have been solved by using APS Payroll solutions is the amount of time it takes to process our payroll. I am able to complete all of my steps within the system with a minimum worry of error. APS Payroll Solutions has streamlined my process and made me more efficient. APS Payroll Solution has also saved me time in the training process because they provide training for new team members.

**Official Response from Rachel Maner, CDMP:**

> Hi Kanikia,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review! We love hearing that our system is easy to use and that your customer support team is always there to help you. We're also glad to hear that you have spoken with APS team members about your salary setup preferences and that they are working with you to get this changed.

We appreciate you and thank you for being a valued APS customer!

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS is very helpful with any questions I have!! I can call & speak to their helpful staff.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I can't think of any dislikes about APS. I love the ease of the website.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS helps when checking accounts are incorrect. They also can send my payroll back - if there is a misatke.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Sandy, Thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad to be able to assist you with any questions you have and help resolve any issues with your accounts or payroll. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 47. APS won out over all other HRIS platforms!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Israel W. | Director, Human Resources- Devon Industries, Automotive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about APS?**

Ease of implementation. Support during transition from UltiPro. Depth of knowledge in payroll practices, all across the country. Especially the abilities to handle difficult California employment law- APS makes it a piece of cake! Simplicity of a unified platform for the entire employee life cycle.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Honestly, what I dislike is that we didn't find APS sooner.

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

Make sure that you demo all aspects of all systems you may be considering. I am confident that if you are not already partial to one system APS will win your business.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have to rely on three or four different systems to mange our employee life cycle. Nothing is left untouched with APS. Applicant tracking on the same platform as the HRIS system, and the candidate information being converted to an employee record a huge time saver. APS systems allows this HR department of 1 to have benefits administration finished within a few clicks. The time keeping, attendance, learning management, performance management, and payroll all on one easy to use, brand-able system is an efficiency generator. I have more time in my day to be strategic and participate in business planning. Using APS and the analytical reports available on my dashboard has given me the confidence I needed to speak up and have a voice in our company.

**Official Response from Joelle Cullimore:**

> Jeff, we love hearing that you were satisfied with implementation, compliance, and our unified platform. Your satisfaction with our reporting metrics and the ability to make more informed business is important to us, as our mission is to make payroll and HR easier. We look forward to working with you in the years to come!

  ### 48. APS Things I Love & APS Things I Wish I Could Change

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carrie L. | HR Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

As I am responsible for all of the recruiting at my organization, I love that most everything we do for onboarding in APS Hire is paperless! As long as things move smoothly from ATS to Onboarding, paperwork is fairly easy for our new employees to complete. I also think, for the most part, that all APS sites (Hire, Onboarding, Payroll and Eselfserve) are fairly easy to navigate.

I should also mention that APS, as an organization, is pretty great about timely attention to issues or concerns. I love that our rep will record both their audio response to a question and send along video of how to do things within APS with their response to the question/concern.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I wish the ATS portion of Hire was more robust. I would prefer to have a database based on the applicant as opposed to which position an applicant applies to. It would be great to go to one screen (or applicant profile) that lists all of the jobs that applicant has applied for and that you could also be able to see all communications, comments and scorecards with that applicant.

As far as APS Payroll, I do not like - at all - that you cannot code documents as confidential. With completely paperless employee files we need a place that we can store confidential documents that only certain people can access. Right now, we put medical documents in Hire because we have people who use Payroll that shouldn't be able to view those documents.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While I would like to see more robust ATS functionality available, there is a good amount of value in just being able to process applicants in APS as opposed to manually tracking them. As I mentioned in a previous response, I'd love for applicant profiles to be more complete. Right now, an applicant is linked to a job and doesn't have a separate profile. I would like to see applicants have an applicant profile that then attaches jobs applied for, communications, etc..

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Carrie, thank you for your comprehensive review of APS! We're delighted to hear that our paperless onboarding in APS Hire has streamlined your recruiting process and that our support team's responsiveness has been helpful. We appreciate your suggestions for enhancing the ATS functionality in Hire and the need for confidential coding in the system. We appreciate your feedback and I will pass it along. We're glad that APS has brought value to your applicant processing, and we're committed to continuously enhancing our system based on insights like yours. Thank you for being a valued APS customer!

  ### 49. Very intuitive software, but can be quirky!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John G. | Human Resources Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

I really like how the software is easy to use. A lot of HRIS or payroll systems have overly complicated processes and APS isn't like that. It does things that make sense, and uses common sense in the processes that you use. When you aren't familiar with a process and need to walk through it for the first few times, it makes sense. Other softwares do not and when you are able to walk through their processes, the complications they set up in their systems dilute what you're learning to do. APS was purchased and implemented before my time with my current organization, and the person who made the decison was not with the company when I came on, and there were no real users who had the experience and knowledge to train me. They were barely getting by themselves, so it was a lot of clickling for me to figure out. It wasn't complicated, though, and within 4 weeks, I had the systems being used the way it should be.

I am also a HUGE fan of their support. Their support is so on top of it. Their response time is a huge plus for me. When I have a questions, which is often, they respond so quickly, usually within minutes, and the team assigned to me (The Saints) are amazingly supportive. They tend to always be able to answer my questions without escalation and when escalation is necessary, they are super communicative about it.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There are some weird quirks with the systems that can cause issues, and they aren't super apparent until after the process is complete. Payroll, for instance. Until recently, you could not terminate an employee in the systems until after their final payroll had run or their hours wouldn't be paid out, which then runs the chance of that person being forgotten to be terminated after payroll has run. Additionally, PTO calculates strange. If there is an hourly rate set up for salaried individuals their typical pay isn't calculated using that data, but if they submit PTO it is calculated with that data, so if you have an exempt individual with an hourly setting as well, it will add the PTO calculation to the total of the typical salary calculation instead of adjusting the salary appropriately based on the PTO taken. It will also calculate PTO accrual based on non-working hours if it isn't set up just appropriately. These are things that are easily avoidable, but if you're not aware of them they can cause chaos.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each of these processes was done manually in my organization before APS, down to performance reveiws being done on excel. Everything is now done via APS and the integrations and automations are so helpful.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Thank you for your detailed review of APS. We're delighted to hear that the ease of use and intuitive design of our software made your transition and learning process smooth and efficient. Your commendation for our support team, especially their responsiveness and helpfulness, is greatly appreciated.

We also acknowledge your insights regarding the quirks in our system, specifically around payroll and PTO calculations. We're continuously working on refining these aspects to prevent any potential issues and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve.

It's fantastic to know that APS has been instrumental in automating and integrating various processes within your organization, moving away from manual methods. We're committed to enhancing your experience and supporting your needs.

Thanks for choosing APS, and we're here for any further support you may require.

  ### 50. Effective, Efficient, and Responsive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall B. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS does a great job of handling payroll for our company. It is very easy to submit our payroll every week and if I ever have any issues or questions, the support team is always responsive and eager to help. The HR functions make it easy to manage enrollments and anniversaries for our employees. Also the reports tab is filled with a ton of options to pull practically any data you could ever need, and it's even got a report builder that you can customize to meet whatever criteria you are looking for.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only downside that I have experienced with APS is that the tracking information for our payroll delivery isn't readily available. It must be requested from the support team. Usually our FedEx delivers first thing the morning after payroll is submitted, but occasionally a new driver will miss our delivery and it is a headache trying to track it down. It would be nice if we could get an automated message with the tracking number when our payroll is sent to the carrier.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS has really helped our company streamline our payroll process. We save countless hours every week not having to submit direct deposits, print checks, and send out vouchers.

**Official Response from RebeccaGrace Kimball:**

> Thank you for your detailed review of APS, Kendall! We're thrilled that our payroll handling, responsive support team, HR functions, and comprehensive reporting capabilities are meeting your needs and simplifying your processes. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along on the availability of payroll delivery tracking information. It's great to hear that APS has streamlined your payroll process, saving you significant time each week. Your satisfaction and the efficiency of your operations are our top priorities. Thank you for choosing APS, and we're here for any further support you may need.
