"Feature-Rich and Easy to Implement, with Beautiful, Reliable HTML-to-PDF Output"
4/5
What do you like best about Apryse PDF SDK?

Very feature rich and straight forward to implement. We use the HTML to PDF feature the most and have found that it produces beautiful reliable PDFs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apryse PDF SDK?

The run speed of the HTML to PDF conversion in the latest version is much slower than earlier generations. If the number of process calls per hour continue to increase, we may need to find another product that runs more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective PDF Conversion but Challenging Setup and Support"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Apryse PDF SDK?

I like that Apryse PDF SDK basically works for our needs. It allows us to fill template strings, which is a crucial part of our workflow. It also lets us use a DocX template instead of an HTML template, which I find more intuitive for our users. Additionally, the ability for our customers to generate letters and forms for themselves, and for us to populate them with data, makes this SDK valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apryse PDF SDK?

I don't like the initial setup process for Apryse PDF SDK; it was a little rough. We tried to work through issues with the Apryse team, and it seemed like a lot of times they didn't understand what we were asking for. The problems are more with the Apryse web viewer editor. Also, the customer support could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable PDF Viewing with Strong Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Apryse PDF SDK?

I really think their support is very good, maintaining open communication whenever we encounter issues. The functionality of Apryse PDF SDK works just as expected and is basically everything we need for displaying PDF files and images, including basic viewing functionalities like zoom and comparison. Also, it supports different file types and optimizes files for slower connections. The interface is very familiar, much like Adobe or Microsoft Preview, making it easy for users to handle PDFs as expected. We rarely have issues, but if we do, they are resolved promptly with good communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apryse PDF SDK?

Nothing specific comes to mind Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basic Editing Features Hampered by Crashes"
0.5/5
What do you like best about Apryse PDF SDK?

I suppose we would like the features. I use it for basic view and edit, which are the features we use primarily. The initial setup was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apryse PDF SDK?

I'm really frustrated with Apryse PDF SDK because it keeps crashing on mobile devices. It happens often enough that it's practically unusable for anything beyond a basic quick view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tara Rowe of Apryse PDF SDK

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. I'm sorry to hear the mobile crashing has made annotation work on construction pages so frustrating. That's not the experience we want you to have, especially since viewing and markup are core to what our SDK should reliably do.

We have seen this issue affecting older devices due to their more constrained memory limits. The "crashing" you witnessed is the page reloading when the complex construction drawing consumes too many resources. The good news is we're in the final testing phase of a fix which is currently being trialed. In the meantime, please reach out to us directly at the link below and we can work together to share our current solution/workaround.

We appreciate you flagging this, and we'd like the chance to turn this around for you.

"Apryse PDF SDK Turned Our Messy PDF Processes Into the Backbone of Our Document Automation."
4/5
What do you like best about Apryse PDF SDK?

My favorite feature is the ability to incorporate personalized PDF functionalities within the internal systems with minimal disruptions to the user workflow. Apryse is constantly used to create and alter reports in real time. It has proved to be reliable with massive, complex, annotated, and data rich documents. Manual PDF edits, external applications, and other tools have been eliminated due to the programmatic control. It is a great feeling to have a PDF engineered resource that works exactly in the way that is needed and meets the expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apryse PDF SDK?

I found the initial setup daunting and overwhelming. The documentation is thorough, but I found ‘which parts’ I needed and how they fit a puzzling so splitting documentation into smaller parts would be useful. Advanced features are a trial and error process so there is a degree of comfort before getting productive and people could use error messages a bit clearer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
