Some assemblies have already been costed in the previous period but we need to recost them due to changes in material cost and/or in manufacturing volumes/locations. Some other parts are completely new and they need to be costed from scratch. For the parts already costed at least one time, the recosting should be a very straightforward process (e.g. the system should just ask for the new volumes/locations...) and pressing a button the complete assembly (BOM with several levels!!) should be recosted automatically without requiring a manual intervention in each child.
