What do you like best about AppZen?

AppZen is user-friendly, I can easily attach receipts there. No additional training is required to start using AppZen, even if it's your first time. The system does rapid circulation of the receipts due to the AI it is based on. Great finance management software.

A great feature AppZen has is the function of detecting even slight mistakes in regards to the receipts, or, in case there was a duplication of the same receipt in the system, AppZen finds it and notifies you about it.

It helps me save time and effort. When I face trouble I immediately contact the support team and they rush to help me.

What do you dislike about AppZen?

I wish Appzen had a more advanced inbuilt reporting function. At the end of each month, I need the data for the whole month to prepare a thorough report for my supervisor to present at the meeting. Simply, focusing on budget management, I need to see clearly which expenditures have been approved or rejected. This still is not a big deal as I keep a separate spreadsheet for the budget of a project to keep the track of it. Hopefully, shortly this could be integrated within Appzen. What problems is AppZen solving and how is that benefiting you?

My colleagues were to travel to Saudi Arabia for an entrepreneurship-related global conference. It happened so that they chose a costly airfare and instead fly on a cheaper one, asking for a refund from the airline for the expensive ticket they didn't fly with. Another example was that our department liked to invite their friends for a free lunch, the department budget would cover all the costs. Or, they decided to give gift cards to the teams, but the teams did not actually get those gift cards, they used the cards for themselves. AppZen lets you make a full audit of the expense reports and save millions on fake or fraudulent expense reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AppZen?

100% audit. Great integration with Concur thru API, many differnet models wich can be adjusted as per the company needs. High confidence in major markets, good confidence in smaller markates. What do you dislike about AppZen?

some of the audit models dont provide enough details. example: anti bribery and fraud audit model does not say which databases it's connected to.

What do you like best about AppZen?

What do you like best about AppZen?

The speed. Appzen through AI is able to review epxense reports in a matter of minutes. Our reports neve sat in queue for more than an hour. Comments can be pre-programmed so they are easy to understand by the traveler. It helped our compliance 100%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppZen?

Our setting - we should have taken AppZen's advice and only manually the top offenders. Instead, our team decided to audit too many small items and we were a bit overwhelmed on days when we had to extract for payment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering AppZen:

It is a great tool to audit expenses before they are paid out to the employee. It can be used to educate by letting employees know that the company is watching for proper receipts, non-reimbursable items and compliance to policy. You will see a drop in card abuse because employees do not like getting flagged and put on a report. Great reporting capability as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AppZen solving and how is that benefiting you?

Increased compliance is the biggest achievement for auditing prior to payment. Receipt compliance & use of correct expense types were monitored but also other comments were helpful - those that notified our travelers of our travel policy - i.e. no luxury cars, no fuel pre-purchase, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
