What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

There are a few extra steps and getting to know the system was a little difficult then our prior system, but EPIC was easy to learn and they provide a ton of training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Document Handling with Minor Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I like that Applied Epic is more modern and gives us the ability to import documents directly from our PCs, which is a massive time saver since I no longer have to print and then scan documents. I love the ability to text and email customers from within Epic; it saves me the sanity of using my personal cell phone for professional communications. Emailing is simple, just a click of a button. The activities and tasks function is one of my favorite features as it helps me stay organized and on track, allowing me to manage quotes, policies, or endorsements efficiently. Overall, it really will save a ton of time once the processes become more natural. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

My main gripes are pretty minimal thus far. It seems to run a little bit slower. Pages can take a while to load sometimes, which kind of ruins the flow. Also, certificate generation is a bit clunky and isn't super user friendly. I do wish there were more of the step-by-step guides as the ones I've used have been very helpful. "Effortless Navigation and Organization"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I like Applied Epic because it's easy to navigate, and the tools are very helpful when I'm working with clients. The feature like the notepad button is nice, and it helps organize things by date or alphabetical type of attachments, which makes it very easy to service clients throughout the entire policy life cycle. It's a nice system that works pretty good, and it's very easy to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I guess when I first started using it it was frusturating, I think alot of new users have this steep learning curve, the workflows can be hard sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Support, Easy Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I really appreciate that when there's a problem with Applied Epic, the support team can either talk you through a solution or even log into your computer to help solve the issue. The customer service representatives are all very helpful, polite, and nice, which makes a big difference. I also find it easy to process COI, EOP ID cards, and applications. The initial setup was straightforward because the person who arranged the upgrade was very helpful throughout the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I wish there was better access to commercial lines rating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Faster and More Efficient Upgrade from Applied TAM"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I like that Applied Epic is a faster version of Applied TAM and more efficient. It's quicker to gain access to different areas, such as moving from the policy screen to a certificate of insurance, which makes it quite valuable for our agency management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

We just need to improve on getting the layout organized and knowing where everything is and where to go to There were a lot of things that needed to be tidied up, but not too bad Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Too Clicky and Performance Issues Despite Efficient Email-to-Activity Workflow"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

It holds a lot of data. Unlike a lot of user, I really like using Epic Bridge. It has made Epic easier for me to use and I end up getting more of my emails and attachments into activities, and I love that you can add an activity directly from Bridge. It is so much more efficient than stopping to add an activity then dragging your email in and if you want your attachments separated, you have to add them separately. Bridge lets you do this all at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Too clicky. Performance in Browser is better than desktop, but there are still lag issues. the new modernized screens are extremely slow to load and the commercial property app has been terrible since the modernization. Way too much scrolling, searching and we can't use the keyboard for hotkeys. Losing a ton of productivity with these new changes. Epic was already too clicky, but now it's even worse. As an Account Manager, agency bill transactions for multi-year policies on installments are very tricky, hard to follow and terrible if you have a correction. The pricing is one of the biggest expenses in the agency besides payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Functional and Valuable, Yet Intuitive Flow Could Improve"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I appreciate how Applied Epic helps our agency keep on the same page, even though we have about 40 employees spread out throughout the country. I like the functionality for auto-creating load tasks, which assists in managing tasks and sending them to other team members. We've been happy with Applied Epic overall, despite the greater cost compared to our previous system. The functionality is quite a bit greater, to be honest. It also stays up to date with the newest technological advancements, which allows us to maximize our efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

It's not an especially intuitive software. I've used others in the past that seemed significantly better in that aspect. You almost need an in-house expert who knows everything about Applied Epic or have to hire someone for training, which is a large capital expenditure. This isn't feasible unless you're a big agency that can make those expenditures regularly. The initial ease of use could be a lot better, and we're often busy so we can't dedicate someone to focus solely on training new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Policy Management, Excellent Organization"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I use Applied Epic to document emails, quotes, and other applicable items for commercial and personal insurance policies. I appreciate that it solves the need to use multiple programs, keeping everything properly documented. What I like most is the ease of use once learning the system. Transitioning from AMS360, I find it easy to sort through different items and it provides multiple options to look up that "one specific document." Additionally, I found the initial setup to be extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

When viewing policies, it would be nice to be able to sort through them without having to lose where I am on a different policy, then refind my location. A tab feature to sort through different policies without losing your spot on the first one you looked at would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
