What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I use Applied Epic all day for servicing accounts, and I like how it keeps things organized and personal to the accounts I pull up, including endorsements, changes, drivers, vehicles, and payments. It's customized to the insurance industry, which means everything is at my fingertips, saving me time since I don't have to search elsewhere. The initial setup was very easy, which was a plus. What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I think that the accounting could be a bit better and maybe some new feature buttons on the main screen to save time, like change of address or contact info for insureds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Efficient for Insurance Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I like Applied Epic because it helps me stay organized and find everything I need in one system, like emails, attachments, e-signatures, policies, and contacts. The ability to stay organized with reminders through activities and follow-up is great. It's very user-friendly, especially compared to the software we used before. I appreciate that it allows us to provide quick service to clients since everything is accessible within minutes. The initial setup was very easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

The only thing I can say is the constant need to click and open tab after tab for things. It would be great if this could be minimized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Drag-and-Drop and Email, But Too Many Steps vs. TAM"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Some of the drag and drop features are great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

It takes a lot more steps to perform the same tasks that we were doing in the TAM program. Can't copy and paste policy #'s. Can't find out how long a customer has been with a company. There should be a column for this . The faxing is way too much work!!! Emailing is great though. There's plenty that I miss about the TAM program vs Epic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Insurance Management, Challenging Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I like that Applied Epic is all-in-one, making it easy to find stuff and keep records correct. It's easy to print the forms needed throughout the insurance industry. I enjoy that it's fast and internet-based, which means I can use it on the go. The Activities, Attachments, and Policy Tabs keep everything easily accessible, making it easier for me to complete work in a timely manner. They help me with accord applications and keep track of renewals so I don't miss any expiration dates. Plus, it's much faster, more convenient, and more tailored to my daily needs compared to Applied TAM. The easier formatting and smoother screen transitions make it flow better than TAM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I think there should be a conversion from BOP Accords to package Accords to make that easier. Also, I think there should be a known loss letter option within the policy feature. The initial setup of Applied Epic was extremely difficult. We had to hire a consultant to do everything for us because it wasn't easy, even though Applied Epic made it seem like it was going to be. It took a couple of months for us to get everything sorted out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized, Detailed, and Easy for Policy Documentation"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Applied Epic is very organized and detailed. I have grown accustomed to activity driven documentation and love how easy it is to utilize to print acords or access policy information. Several third party platforms have the ability to integrate which is nice, but we currently do not utilize the SDK integrations due to cost restraints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

It is expensive, but I would argue it is well worth the money. I do not love the massive "paywalls" behind features such as SDK integrations, etc. From a performance perspective, the browser version does tend to freeze up quite often causing workflow delays. "Slow Performance, Weak Support, and Inaccurate AI Hold Back an Otherwise Easy-to-Navigate Tool"
2/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Easy navigation using the navigation pane. Easy way to keep track of documents using unrouted attachments. Great integration with Outlook - ease of attaching documents and sending via Outlook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

The performance is slow and often lags (regardless of internet connection speed) - not the best feature. I do not know anything about pricing.

Support could be improved as I have called about an issue before and then didn't hear back for weeks even after repeated contact for updates.

Onboarding was OK at best. The trainers did not know the system and how to use a lot of features as well as they should have. For example, they were unable to teach us how to complete and SOV. We've had to figure out how to use some features on our own.

AI could be improved. When you summarize an attachment/email when attaching, it gets it mostly incorrect. Saves a little time, but AI doesn't seem to understand who sent what to whom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dependable Platform That Simplifies Renewals and Follow-Ups"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

The system helps me stay on top of renewals and follow-ups, which makes it much easier to support my clients. Sometimes it can feel a little slow, and it definitely takes some time to get used to, but overall it’s a dependable platform that fits into my day-to-day workflow and helps me provide better customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Dislike: The system can feel slow at times, and some workflows take more clicks than they really should. There’s definitely a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it’s reliable and works consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Management Tool with Some Setup Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I love how Applied Epic makes managing each insured's business and documents a breeze. It keeps everything clean and organized. I really love the activities and notes sections because with the notes you can track everything that has happened. If you have a phone call, you can note it, if you have important info given in an email, you can note it and attach it. Having tasks assigned to activities keeps everyone organized about what needs to be done, and the accountability to mark it and track it. This is great because if anyone needs to answer a question for an insured that isn't you they can clearly see what has been going on with the account. I also like the fact that you can assign owners to things and have it configured so you can run reports to see where everyone is landing. The drag and drop feature and clean notes and activities make it more sophisticated for tracking information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I still have a lot of learning to do to fully understand Applied Epic's capabilities, but I've found that creating a new payment link for a finance agreement often has glitches, especially with the financing part. The transaction screen is also challenging to work with because if I make a mistake, it's not easy to fix. I wish this part was more user-friendly and tighter. The initial setup was a real challenge too, although Reagan was a huge help, it was not an easy undertaking and the learning process has been intense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
