  ### 9. Search function needs an overhaul.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

very organized. Easy to know what you're looking at.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I don't like the Locate Tab. I wish I could just search under any category without having to toggle the drop down option. I really don't like having to search last name then first name. That's so annoying and not intuitive. Let me search on one field and in whatever format by whatever criteria.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not a naturally organized person and with Epic I've been able to keep on top of my activities.

I haven't found one yet! I love everything about it!

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps the entire office see account history, requests made by the insureds and carriers and allows you to document and attach literally everything!

  ### 12. Deep, Data-Rich Program with Virtually Unlimited Capacity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The program is very deep and holds a virtually unlimited amount of data.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I feel like there is a lot of repetition which could easily be automated. For example, typing a description in the activity line and having to re-enter or copy & paste into the notes. It would also be nice if you could change screens while in the process of a note without losing the note.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm relatively new to the industry and like the ability to mark activities as urgent when necessary.

  ### 13. Logically Organized, Easy-to-Access Information, Easy to use.

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic helps our company stay organized.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I do not like that they took away the feature that removes attachments from your desktop when you move them into epic.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has kept us accountable and that is beneficial to the business.

  ### 15. Applied Pay Makes It Easy for Insureds to Pay/Finance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Pay because you can send a link to the insured and they can then choose to pay in full or set up financing.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

That if you're using a wholesale broker to access insurance markets you have to create a submission for each carrier if you end up placing coverage for one line with one carrier and the other line with another carrier; ex. GL carrier differs from the Umbrella carrier.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Certificates are now streamlined and easy to renew and export the holder list.

  ### 16. Bumpy Start: Import Issues and Commission Challenges Slow Us Down

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The downloads on the personal lines side

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It's been a bumpy start. Unable to import our life and health policies from our previous agency management system, so we have to manually input all of them. Commissions has also been an issue.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personal lines downloads

  ### 17. All-in-One Convenience with Applied Epic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic has the ability to do everything in one spot. There is no need for multiple systems.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I dislike the inability to "go back". It can be extremely difficult to make changes or undo errors made.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Applied Epic is solving the need for multiple CRM/lead tracking systems. It has the ability to not only create a lead, but also track it completely through from initial intake to a renewal three years down the road.

Keeping all of our data in one centralized location. Helps keep us organized and everyone on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The programming it sometimes takes to get what you want. For example, reporting should be much easier than it is. Summaries and Proposals should be much easier to create and should not require a computer programmer to configure.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coming up with new programs such as Dashboards make some of the reporting easier. But in general, coming up with new, user friendly, time saving programs.

  ### 19. Modern System with Great Features, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda r. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is a more current system and it's not anything like the old TAM system, which I hated. I also like that you can drag and drop; that's a really nice feature because when we had Epic on the desktop, you couldn't do that.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I found it wasn't very easy to set up Applied Epic on the browser version.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic stores a lot of information, helping us go paperless and create COIs, cancellation forms, and track insurance policies.

  ### 20. Thorough Database, Powerful Integrations, and Spot-On Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is the best management software that I have used to date. The database is thorough, with integrations and tasking capabilities at every module level, including accounts, lines of business, and activity tracking. Also, the support from Applied is spot on, especially the chat box feature.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

With any database, lots of clicks to get things done.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is trying to address slowdown issues in the cloud & browser. When you're operating in many windows and multitasking, it can slow you down.

  ### 21. Tech-Forward and Easy to Use, but Geared More Toward Commercial Brokers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dena D. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Tech forward like ease of use but def commercial focused

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It seems to be built around commercial brokers needs not personal lines

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a place to store notes it is starting to become more for us but still not perfect as it is commercial focused

  ### 22. Works Well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The company listens to their users and is constantly making improvements.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I feel like there needs to be more flexibility with surety bond policy lines. Bonds don't function like insurance. It's like once you set up a bond as a line of business, there need to be different options in the line status. Billing is also on graduated percentages, so it would be nice to put in rates and commissions that automatically populate.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General management of day-to-day agency activities.

  ### 23. Easy to Use Platform with Update Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wojciech P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is easy to use and that the policy information is always up to date. The download feature is also something I find valuable.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I've noticed that the new update isn't working well, and it takes too long to load. Also, there are issues with emails and certificate handling when updates are applied.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic for agency management, helping with transacting, storage, and keeping policy information up to date. It's easy to use, which I appreciate.

  ### 24. Clunky UI Hinders Applied Epic's Potential

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find it helpful when Applied Epic has the information I need like renewals, status of policies, and contact info.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I don't like much about Applied Epic. It's very clunky and unintuitive. The UI makes no sense and requires so much training and practice to navigate. It really needs to be redesigned from the ground up. Things should be more obvious and there should be fewer options available all the time. It needs to be cleaner and more logical. Honestly, just look at any other website for a better design.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic to keep track of renewals, policy status, and contact info. However, I find the UI clunky and unintuitive, needing a redesign.

  ### 25. Challenging

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

The features are more updated when running producer reports

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The amount of tasks when making an activity seems like more work and not faster

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The producer reports are clearer and show deductions in premiums as well

  ### 26. User-Friendly Software with Helpful AI Summaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

I really appreciate how easy Applied Epic is to use, and the AI summaries are incredibly helpful. They save me time on making notes, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I do not care for the update on the activities screen. It is too much, and not perceived well.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic to help with documenting, invoicing, and keeping tabs on work. The AI summaries cut down on time making notes, and it's easy to use.

  ### 27. Applied Epic Review

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

UI and workflows. Integrations with indio

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

PDF issues and pricing is high. Wish upgrades and updates were included and not a continuous increase in pricing

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us a central area to enter in our customers as an independent agency

  ### 30. Easy Navigation and Document Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariana V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is easy to navigate. I appreciate that we don't have to print out all the documents because they can literally be dragged and saved. This helps us maintain records of all the changes, including what and when it happened, to resolve any future problems.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

nothing yet

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic helps us maintain records of changes to resolve future problems and saves time by allowing documents to be dragged and saved without printing.

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It’s easy to use, and I use it every day to keep track of upcoming renewals, cross-sell opportunities, and keep client information up to date.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It would be really helpful if I could delete attachments or entries, rather than having to mark them as an error or duplicate in the system.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the automation features, such as data prefill, to streamline our quoting process, and we’re looking forward to the upcoming updates and new features.

  ### 32. My review of Applied Epic

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like how easy this is to use. The attachment features are helpful, and I really appreciate having clear policy information, plus the option to download what I need whenever I need it.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Nothing to add at this time. I’ve been using Epic for the past 10 years, and I’ve consistently found it very easy to use.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They’ve added easier, simpler steps to complete an activity or add an attachment.

  ### 33. User-Friendly Management Services That Make Work Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied versus other platforms is not a complex onion. Everything has it's own label and section which makes it easy for data entry. Completing acords is much easier.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The reports are not easy to figure out. The personal lines rater has not effectively worked for the agency yet after a year of trying to use and troubleshoot.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data entry, client correspondence filing, download of insurance policies takes significant admin tasks off the staff.
