**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Nothing. your system is so slow it is embarrasing when simply trying to look up a policy for a customer.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Slow, cumbersome, inefficient, I am using the old applied as a resource because the epic system
is so ineffient. Unable to pull reports from your commercial lines applications. cant pull locations,
year built etc. web based software is no faster and layout is totally unacceptable. scrolling everywhere,
time consuming and a time drain. when you look up a policy # and hilite it, it should go directly to that policy.

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is an amazing platform that not only has next-level technology but offers customer support, networking & education like no other platform/company that I have ever been a part of. They are always on the cutting edge of technology and they listen to their users! Should you find something that you think would make your work easier, all you have to do is submit it to Applied and it will be opened up to the Applied Community to vote on and subsequently be developed - it's amazing! The education opportunities go beyond the Epic database as they have offerings related to Excel, Microsoft Word and the list goes on. I now have an entire family of peers working in the same environment that I can reach out to and ask for advice on a topic or an issue that they have already encountered . . .I couldn't imagine going back to any other database for the management of my daily work!! Great job Applied Team!

  ### 37. Clean, easy-to-use agency management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle L. | Market Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love how there are so many ways to access what you need and to accomplish a task. The follow-up system and activity tracking is really top-notch. Additionally, the development team is always coming up with improvements.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Sometimes integration with other applications can be a little funky, and some of the back-end processes could use some streamlining.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now I'm in Epic Browser, so a lot of the improvements are centered around integration and task workflow. Being able to sync to my emails and carrier sites are huge benefits for me since I work a lot in the Marketing Submissions. Applied Epic continues to make improvements on the quoting and renewal process, largely by acquiring companies/software that integrate either supplemental/questionnaire processes (Indio) or commercial quoting (Tarmika), which have, historically, been pain points on commercial renewals.

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

We love the automated reports. We are able to save so much time by having the information in our inbox when we want it. We also have set up drip marketing email campaigns from activity further actions. This is great and keeps us from having to use a third party. The work group has been great for our agency, but it definitely needs some features. We know it is new and we look forward to see how else we will be able to use it, like with unrouted attachments

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There are a lot of areas that could be simplified, have a lot less clicks. Like from the home screen. If you want to move an activity to a new date and to another person you have to right click on it twice. With TAM you could just click revise activity and do everything you want at one time. Applied University should be part of your license agreement with Epic, it shouldn't cost more. More open API integration, like with Zapier would be great. The price is also a lot, our agency is larger and can handle it, but many smaller agencies don't use Applied products for that reason and you are loosing a lifetime customer for that reason. PAC requests also seem to be slow to be implemented. There are so many great ones there that should be implemented.

**Recommendations to others considering Applied Epic:**

Get involved with Applied Client Network. I have learned so much from my networking with ACN that made my transition to Epic easier and my day to day so much better.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting a better handle on our retention and seeing so much valuable data from Applied Analytics, like employee productivity. We have integrated our email marketing from a third party to just using Epic. Sometimes it is still easier (and MUCH cheaper) to use Constant Contact for one off emails so I hope Applied Marketing continues to grow and gets more in line with market pricing.

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like the many capabilities of the tool. It is really good for commercial and reporting can be done on almost anything. They now have data lake option which is really powerful for reporting

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

They don't have any real-time email functionality except for AMA and that doesn't cover edocs/etc. All emails are batch which is very old technology. Also, when you buy a tool you automatically buy it for all users when it isn't necessarily relevant for all users. This is a major issue with pricing.
