## Applied Epic Reviews
  ### 1. Applied Epic - User Friendly and Time Saving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christal M. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I think Applied Epic is incredibly user friendly; and it is not hard to understand even without training. This is incredibly helpful for busy companies who often don't have as much time to train.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I think Epic is just incredibly diverse and there are so many levels to it. There are probably so many areas that would make my life and job easier that I don't even know about. There are probably already answers to problems or difficulties I have, and I just don't know exactly how to find them.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it saves me a lot of time which in turn saves us money. the pricing is well worth the value. the integration of CSR24 makes issuing certificates incredibly easy. the onboarding process saves me time training in customer service. it rarely gives me any performance or system issues. and the AI chat I have found incredibly helpful when i have issues

  ### 2. Applied user since 1984

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laraine W. | Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Most support issues are handled quickly.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

1.) Applied is acquiring new vendors to integrate new features, but we’d really like to see PAC requests handled faster for our users who rely on the basic EPIC functions.

2.) Many agencies and users have requested improvements, and we never seem to see them implemented. It makes us wonder why the request process exists when items are often closed as “not interested at this time.” We also end up voting for years, and nothing changes.

3.) Reporting has had the same options since we started using Epic almost 8 years ago. In TAM, we were able to pull more search fields into reports. Dashboards are nice, but they come with the same restrictions, so we still can’t get a lot of the information we need. They’re also very difficult for the average person to create quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Applied Epic:**

So far so good, but be prepared to do a lot of preparation before the actual migration.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of client information, accounting, and reporting. We do not use opportunities for sales at this time.
CSR24, Dashboards, PL quoting, Indio (not yet using)

  ### 3. Great Drag-and-Drop and Email, But Too Many Steps vs. TAM

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon D. | Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Some of the drag and drop features are great

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It takes a lot more steps to perform the same tasks that we were doing in the TAM program. Can't copy and paste policy #'s. Can't find out how long a customer has been with a company. There should be a column for this . The faxing is way too much work!!! Emailing is great though. There's plenty that I miss about the TAM program vs Epic.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't know if they are working to solve any of these as of yet. I know our set up person in the office is reporting these issues back to someone at Epic and I hope they are working on things.

  ### 4. Streamlined Insurance Management, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is all-in-one, making it easy to find stuff and keep records correct. It's easy to print the forms needed throughout the insurance industry. I enjoy that it's fast and internet-based, which means I can use it on the go. The Activities, Attachments, and Policy Tabs keep everything easily accessible, making it easier for me to complete work in a timely manner. They help me with accord applications and keep track of renewals so I don't miss any expiration dates. Plus, it's much faster, more convenient, and more tailored to my daily needs compared to Applied TAM. The easier formatting and smoother screen transitions make it flow better than TAM.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I think there should be a conversion from BOP Accords to package Accords to make that easier. Also, I think there should be a known loss letter option within the policy feature. The initial setup of Applied Epic was extremely difficult. We had to hire a consultant to do everything for us because it wasn't easy, even though Applied Epic made it seem like it was going to be. It took a couple of months for us to get everything sorted out.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Applied Epic for insurance purposes to regulate our clients.

  ### 5. Organized, Detailed, and Easy for Policy Documentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is very organized and detailed. I have grown accustomed to activity driven documentation and love how easy it is to utilize to print acords or access policy information. Several third party platforms have the ability to integrate which is nice, but we currently do not utilize the SDK integrations due to cost restraints.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It is expensive, but I would argue it is well worth the money. I do not love the massive "paywalls" behind features such as SDK integrations, etc. From a performance perspective, the browser version does tend to freeze up quite often causing workflow delays.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The organization of data in real time is the true benefit. We have access to conversations, policy data, plenty of support/training, and plenty of AI solutions that allow us to grow/scale a smaller agency. I feel that Epic helps us present ourselves as a sleek, modern agency although we are 100 years old.

  ### 6. Flexible Options That Let Each Agency Work Their Way

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like how it has different options to do things and you are not just stuck to one way of doing something. It allows different agencies the abilities to work best for them.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I dislike the new view on the web based version for forms and hazards. It only allows you to see a couple things at once and when you add or update something it will bump you back up to the top instead of leaving you where you were in the list. This makes it hard when you are reviewing things. I also dislike that it allows you type a certain amount of characters in the system but then when you print it cuts part of it off. This makes it hard for carriers to get the accurate information we may need. The billing is also not ideal. I dislike how you are not easily able to note premium, taxes, fees on the estimated lines and have to put in different spots. This makes it hard to compare year to year total actual premiums. I would also like to see an option to assign an activity task to a group vs a person. On the home page it would be nice to see a list of tasks vs the Activity with the tasks to the side.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now I can not think of anything. There are things I would like it to solve but the system right now does not have capabilities. Honestly the more web based updates they make it is becoming a bit harder to use.

  ### 7. Applied EPIC

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It can do most things you want, for the most part it is a one stop shop
Customer Service is fantasic, if you don't know how to find something, the portal or calling is quick and easy to use
Time and Date stamp automatically - this can save you in an E&O claim
Global changes to employees - this makes changing employees very easy and simple to transfer all accounts over to another employee

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The download feature in from carriers can sometimes override items that you need, especially when you have the same effective dates
The proposal templates typically don't generate like you want them to
Within the marketing submissions, I wish there was a "delete all" to delete out forms, drivers, vehicles, etc.
I wish you could keep an activity note open and continue to move around EPIC. Right now, you have to copy what you have, cancel out, then go back in
I wish there was webinars/trainings that is like Applied 101 for new hires. The Applied University is very hard to use to figure out how to just use EPIC for day to day operations
The new modernized screens do not let you use the "delete" key on the keyboard to delete forms or remarks - this makes our job take longer
the new Auto ID card, we cannot edit all ID cards in one single click, we have to individually update each one.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

E&O claim documentation

  ### 8. Seamless Outlook Integration and Vital Drag-and-Drop Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The software integrates very well with Outlook, and the drag-and-drop function is vital. I also really appreciate being able to attach documents, such as pertinent endorsements, to certificates of liability so they automatically print with the certificate every time.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Two years ago I learned Applied TAM and then our agency switched to Epic. I see the struggle of those making this change that had used TAM for decades. The issue is that the format is just similar enough that they need Epic to work the same way and it does not. There are significant issues with the flow. Instead of the drag-and-drop onto a file that allows you to choose an appropriate activity, you must first create an activity. It would have been better if it either mirrored the previous system or completely broke away from it for those that used TAM. Also, just when you get comfortable with the way the system works, they implement changes that don't seem to make sense. Such as, the recent change on the COIs added an extra step. There are Acord forms, such as the Cancellation Request and Statement of Values, that were fully integrated in TAM and we have to completely type them out on Epic (backwards is never good). The new Outlook is not compatible with Epic so you can't drag-and-drop from it. In the Transactions system, there is no way to do a MEM bill that won't hit the accounting side. We used these regularly so now it must be typed out every month as well. This causes issues with remembering to send agency bills monthly.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This system is easier to train new people on, as the workflows help to remind them of all the steps required to process any changes. The AI function for attachments is helpful for those that don't want to summarize and email. Having the system online helps with performance for those at home as opposed to the desktop system we were using before.

  ### 9. Easy to Use and Efficient—Desktop Version Shines

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karla H. | Senior Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It's easy to use and helps me work efficiently. I honestly prefer the desktop version as the browser has too many glitches.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I am unable to send something to e-sign without having to close out the person's account. I have to go to another screen to enter the payment amount. When I am creating an activity or endorse/revise, I am unable to go back to the person's account to look up information. After clicking details on an endorse/revise activity, it takes me directly to the policy tab versus the activity.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're not really having any business problems that need help from Epic. Epic does allow us to efficiently store our insureds' data.

  ### 10. Helpful Built-In Course, but Navigation Still Feels Confusing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashlee Q. | Client service rep assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The system courses that teach users how to use every part of the system are very beneficial when i don't know where to find something or do something. They help me get work done faster and with less effort. I can also easily access outside links, which results in a lighter workload overall.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Navigating it can feel confusing and, at times, a bit troubling. There’s definitely a learning curve, and getting comfortable with it takes time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps the business get things done faster and more smoothly, which boosts the overall performance of the business. The outside links to other websites used in the business is very convenient.

  ### 11. Centralized Client Data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Agency Resource Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find Applied Epic tremendously useful as a central hub for all client and policy data, effectively building a single unified client record. I appreciate its capability to eliminate reliance on paper documents by keeping a digital copy of all activities, which streamlines our operations. I like that Applied Epic truly functions as a one-stop shop for insurance agencies, offering an extensive product lineup under one roof. I also value that it is always adding or updating features, often based on user feedback, which helps keep the platform up-to-date and responsive to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Some updates seem to be pushed out in haste before they are fully vetted and ready for agent use. Sometimes, it feels as though we are the unwitting beta testers of new products.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic as a central hub, centralizing client and policy data, creating a unified client record, and reducing reliance on paper documents.

  ### 12. Efficient Policy Management with Applied Epic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MADISON S. | Senior Personal Lines Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate Applied Epic's detailed use in notes applications and its integrations into Outlook and phone systems. It helps with AI integrations and automates activities for renewals and company downloads, which I find valuable.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Reading the notes can be difficult sometimes when looking for items. I would love a search bar to search keywords within activities. Additionally, the renewals manager needs a compare prior vs renewal term section. Currently, it only lets you see the latest activities, and I want something that generates a comparison of prior term premium vs renewal term premium on the renewals manager screen without having to go into the actual policy.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic manages changes, renewals, and quoting in policy management. I like its detailed notes application and integrations with Outlook and phone systems. It helps with AI integrations and automates activities for renewals and company downloads.

  ### 13. Noticeably Better ACORD Form Mapping in Applied Epic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danica G. | VP of Commercial Lines, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

What I like most about Applied Epic is the mapping in ACORD forms. I’ve used other AMSs before, and their mapping was poor, so this has been a noticeable improvement for me.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

What I dislike about Applied Epic is the number of activities it generates. I understand why they’re used, but for my agency we don’t see a need for an activity to be created for certain tasks or actions, even if it’s running in the background.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an open API has been really helpful for integrating our system with various software companies. It’s also allowed us to streamline workflows and speed up our processing times.

  ### 14. User-Friendly but Report Generation Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryl E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find Applied Epic easy to use and user-friendly, except for creating reports. It has enhanced my job performance by reducing the time I spend on tasks. I no longer need to enter all rates manually into a spreadsheet or wait to receive quotes from carriers, which was very time-consuming. It's easy to learn and makes creating comparisons straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

When I need to create a report, such as a client listing with certain criteria, it has an outdated way of having to request the report, as far as putting the specific requirements into the request. I'd like to request a report and choose via a checkmark or whatever the criteria I need.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic enhances my job performance by saving time on data entry and quote requests. It's user-friendly, making it easy to learn and create comparisons.

  ### 15. Efficient and Centralized—All the Info in One Place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mercy P. | Commercial Lines account manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Typically is fairly efficient, all info is in one place, I don't work with carriers that have integrations, I'm not involved in this process of Applied

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

LOTS OF LAGS, recently apps merge info that has not been input or information is missing on certificates and applications. Too many clicks to process tasks, the interface not as simple as AMS360, the support even on chat is difficult, the help topics usually don't help resolve issues or it's difficult to find topics in the help section

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The accounting portion seems to be working better

  ### 16. Epic’s Web-Based UI and Automation Make Renewals and Tracking Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Built-in automation for renewals, policy checklists, and activity tracking that reduces manual follow-up. Applied's Epic integrates with Outlook easily. Support is quick and easy to get access to. The UI is now all web based which makes it very easy to access from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Licensing, implementation, and add-on modules (analytics, additional integrations) can add up quickly, making it a significant investment for smaller agencies.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Applied Epic, we were constantly re-keying policy and billing data by hand from carrier portals into our own tracking sheets, which often led to entry errors and delayed billing. Now we use carrier downloads directly into Epic, and it’s saving us many hours each week while also noticeably reducing billing discrepancies.

  ### 17. Streamlined Document Handling with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is more modern and gives us the ability to import documents directly from our PCs, which is a massive time saver since I no longer have to print and then scan documents. I love the ability to text and email customers from within Epic; it saves me the sanity of using my personal cell phone for professional communications. Emailing is simple, just a click of a button. The activities and tasks function is one of my favorite features as it helps me stay organized and on track, allowing me to manage quotes, policies, or endorsements efficiently. Overall, it really will save a ton of time once the processes become more natural.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

My main gripes are pretty minimal thus far. It seems to run a little bit slower. Pages can take a while to load sometimes, which kind of ruins the flow. Also, certificate generation is a bit clunky and isn't super user friendly. I do wish there were more of the step-by-step guides as the ones I've used have been very helpful.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic to save time by importing documents digitally, reducing paper use, and handling customer communication within the software. It helps me with policy tracking, customer communication, and keeps task management organized, enhancing my efficiency.

  ### 18. Effortless Navigation and Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like Applied Epic because it's easy to navigate, and the tools are very helpful when I'm working with clients. The feature like the notepad button is nice, and it helps organize things by date or alphabetical type of attachments, which makes it very easy to service clients throughout the entire policy life cycle. It's a nice system that works pretty good, and it's very easy to work.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I guess when I first started using it it was frusturating, I think alot of new users have this steep learning curve, the workflows can be hard sometimes.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic for policy management, quoting workflows, document storage, and communication tracking, which help me stay organized.

  ### 19. Faster and More Efficient Upgrade from Applied TAM

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is a faster version of Applied TAM and more efficient. It's quicker to gain access to different areas, such as moving from the policy screen to a certificate of insurance, which makes it quite valuable for our agency management system.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

We just need to improve on getting the layout organized and knowing where everything is and where to go to There were a lot of things that needed to be tidied up, but not too bad

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic as it is faster and more efficient than Applied TAM. It improves access to customer areas, and moves quicker from policy screens to certificates of insurance, addressing the outdated nature of TAM.

  ### 20. Functional and Valuable, Yet Intuitive Flow Could Improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate how Applied Epic helps our agency keep on the same page, even though we have about 40 employees spread out throughout the country. I like the functionality for auto-creating load tasks, which assists in managing tasks and sending them to other team members. We've been happy with Applied Epic overall, despite the greater cost compared to our previous system. The functionality is quite a bit greater, to be honest. It also stays up to date with the newest technological advancements, which allows us to maximize our efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It's not an especially intuitive software. I've used others in the past that seemed significantly better in that aspect. You almost need an in-house expert who knows everything about Applied Epic or have to hire someone for training, which is a large capital expenditure. This isn't feasible unless you're a big agency that can make those expenditures regularly. The initial ease of use could be a lot better, and we're often busy so we can't dedicate someone to focus solely on training new users.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic to keep our agency of about 40 people coordinated, even with employees across the country. It auto-creates tasks, improving our management system and helping everyone stay on the same page.

  ### 21. Solid Management Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find Applied Epic very easy to use once you get the hang of workflows. Data is easy to locate, and the attachments feature is very nice, especially being able to view the first two pages online right up front. It’s helpful to have insured information in two locations now, like emails at the top of the screen and in the bottom left corner, making it convenient to access information at a glance. I fully appreciate the ability to easily copy and paste emails in the online version too.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The online version can be horribly slow at times, even after updating our service to the maximum available for our location. Every time we do a policy cancellation, it quits working, so we have to exit and reenter to finish, which is a huge inconvenience. Entering payment activities involves more steps now, as we have to go to activity detail instead of keying it directly like on the desktop version. A recent update added an extra step when submitting new policies or policy changes, requiring us to select an extra box that seems redundant. Epic quotes often don't work in the online environment, requiring logging out and back in, which I find unacceptable.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic allows us to centrally locate our insured's information for policies and claims, which helps with easy data access and improved management.

  ### 22. Great for Workflow Tracking, but the New AI Update Feels Slower and More Cumbersome

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Tracking work flow, reports, information gathering

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I absolutely HATE the new AI integration. The information no longer fits on the screen, resulting in a lot of unnecessary scrolling. There is a lot of lag time, especially when creating evidences. It it incredibly cumbersome to delete information when creating marketed apps from existing policies (this use to be much simpler). I can no longer add notes to the activity that is created when an evidence is issued. There is not ONE thing that is better with the recent changes. If I could convince the company to change software, I would happily do so.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Current changes have only created unsolvable problem for me

  ### 23. Clarity in Disbursements with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic makes disbursements more clear and precise, and the details are so comprehensive that there's no room for questions.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I find the cash receipts process in Applied Epic to be quite complicated, especially when dealing with cash payments for financing policies through companies like First Insurance Funding. I would like a simpler way to apply these cash payments to client transactions in Epic. Also, the initial setup of Applied Epic was very hard for my team.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic makes disbursements clearer and more precise, but handling cash for client financing policies is complicated and needs improvement.

  ### 24. Game changer on renewals and easier to handle client questions.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

love the renewal manager as it keeps me on track for the upcoming renewals.
How the client page is set up to give the most important information when you first pull the client

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

least helpful - is the search criteria, if not exactly correct, there is no in between to find a client
the biggest downside is not being able to have the renewals listed on the home screen for easier access

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

staying more organized with clients and able to locate attachments with a search tab, makes me feel like I am in control and not fumbling waiting or searching in the system

  ### 25. Comprehensive Insurance Management, Needs Smoother Processing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela J. | Commercial Lines CSR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I really like that Applied Epic has all of our customer information at our fingertips. I appreciate the amount of information it can hold in a customer file and how it is efficiently broken down into different sections. This organization means we aren't spending hours searching for a document.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I don't like if an app is in processing status you aren't able to correct a certificate of insurance. It definitely took some getting used to and how to properly use the system.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic keeps all customer information at our fingertips and organizes it into different sections, saving time searching for documents.

  ### 26. Great for Servicing Acounts, but Marketing & Customization Feel Overcomplicated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Being able to mass send certificates of insurance, using activities to group emails & other documents attached for a specific issue for accounts, service summary row descriptions to showing policy changes

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Moving policies & thier process from marketing tab to current policy, too many forced steps in order to move to current. The customization on functions can be good but in general it's made things complicated. Being able to delete more in the system would be great

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aiding a lot in servicing with certificates, evidences, auto ID cards, various acord forms and invoicing

  ### 27. All Workflows in One System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The functionality allows for all workflows to be completed in a single system, eliminating the need for multiple systems.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Some areas are cumbersome to complete. For example, there is no option to bulk amend coverage form, deductibles, coinsurance, etc. on the Property application. The ability to bulk change policy level terms would be a massive timesaver.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating billing, marketing, servicing, and forms generation into one system and providing a robust attachment option for agency forms. The pricing/ROI for the system is also a plus as it eliminates the need for multiple subscriptions.

  ### 28. Room for lots of improvement for Applied Epic Browser

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

This is a secure, reliable place for a management system.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The updates being done in the Epic browser are not user-friendly. The layout is difficult to read and hard to follow. Every time there is an update, more and more errors occur, the workflow breaks, and it becomes very frustrating to get work done. There are no real workarounds until the monthly updates are completed. Please move everything back to the old view of Applied Epic!!!!

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t see any real problems that Applied Epic is solving; it’s simply a management system.

  ### 29. The Quick Quote saves a lot of time.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

When quick quote works, I love it. However, sometimes it does not work as it should. Lately, too many glitches.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I would like Epic to be a little quicker to respond when downloading documents. Cancellation printing does not work for me. I can go make a change elsewhere and still be waiting for the documednt to download or it closes and I have to reopen the insured.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, the ability to receive quotes from multiple carriers has shortened my quoting time substantially.

  ### 30. Keeps Customer Profiles Perfectly Organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer K. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It keeps all of our customers’ profiles organized.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The online version isn’t as efficient as the desktop version. There’s a lot more scrolling, which makes it harder to get through tasks quickly.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is the only program I’ve used, and it meets my workflow needs.

  ### 31. Great for Storing Information in One Place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayley L. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love being able to store lots of information in one place.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The browser version is different from the desktop so that's an adjustment, and all the updates that happen without knowledge.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an insured's file all in one place, especially documents that download and proofs of insurance.

  ### 32. Easy to use, helpful Tab systems and vendor alignment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chantelle G. | Crop Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Its pretty easy to use and the tabs make it more convenient

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I dislike that the Formstack never works. There should be an option to use Docu sign

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its solving the ability to store information from vendors and that is helpful as it makes finding important information from them easier

  ### 33. Powerful Client Management, Needs Faster Quoting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like Applied Epic for its capacity in managing all client information for our office. It keeps things organized, and I never fear that I won't find what I've inputted. I also found the initial setup to be easy.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I find the speed of Applied Epic can be improved, especially in the quotes portion as it often crashes during quoting.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic for managing client information, ensuring organization. Its capacity is great, and I never fear losing what I input, which is reassuring.

  ### 34. Deep, Data-Rich Program with Virtually Unlimited Capacity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The program is very deep and holds a virtually unlimited amount of data.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I feel like there is a lot of repetition which could easily be automated. For example, typing a description in the activity line and having to re-enter or copy & paste into the notes. It would also be nice if you could change screens while in the process of a note without losing the note.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm relatively new to the industry and like the ability to mark activities as urgent when necessary.

  ### 35. Keeps Us Organized, but Missing a Previously Available Feature

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah C. | Customer Service Rep, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic helps our company stay organized.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I do not like that they took away the feature that removes attachments from your desktop when you move them into epic.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has kept us accountable and that is beneficial to the business.

  ### 36. Modern System with Great Features, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda r. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is a more current system and it's not anything like the old TAM system, which I hated. I also like that you can drag and drop; that's a really nice feature because when we had Epic on the desktop, you couldn't do that.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I found it wasn't very easy to set up Applied Epic on the browser version.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic stores a lot of information, helping us go paperless and create COIs, cancellation forms, and track insurance policies.

  ### 37. Thorough Database, Powerful Integrations, and Spot-On Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is the best management software that I have used to date. The database is thorough, with integrations and tasking capabilities at every module level, including accounts, lines of business, and activity tracking. Also, the support from Applied is spot on, especially the chat box feature.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

With any database, lots of clicks to get things done.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is trying to address slowdown issues in the cloud & browser. When you're operating in many windows and multitasking, it can slow you down.

  ### 38. Challenging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica R. | Personal Lines Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The features are more updated when running producer reports

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The amount of tasks when making an activity seems like more work and not faster

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The producer reports are clearer and show deductions in premiums as well

  ### 39. easy navigation is a plus

**Reviewed by:** John B. | Retired, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

Keeping client and company data up to date.

**Reviewed by:** Jacob W. | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Having Epic support and Applied University to troubleshoot

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

As an accountant, I don't think Epic is very user friendly but it is a very capable system

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Direct bill commission reconciliation is much easier with Epic

  ### 41. Easy, Efficient Client Organization with Great Quoting and Email Links

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Easy to use and very efficient. Works well organizing all clients and prospects and has great features for quoting as well as links to email and other forms.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Apparently, you cannot run a report based on date of birth. That is problematic for me as a Medicare agent.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to have a database of our clients and put in follow ups to review needed actions.

  ### 42. Great UI and Workflows

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor M. | Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

UI and workflows. Integrations with indio

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

PDF issues and pricing is high. Wish upgrades and updates were included and not a continuous increase in pricing

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us a central area to enter in our customers as an independent agency

  ### 43. My review of Applied Epic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

I like how easy this is to use. The attachment features are helpful, and I really appreciate having clear policy information, plus the option to download what I need whenever I need it.

They’ve added easier, simpler steps to complete an activity or add an attachment.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied versus other platforms is not a complex onion. Everything has it's own label and section which makes it easy for data entry. Completing acords is much easier.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The reports are not easy to figure out. The personal lines rater has not effectively worked for the agency yet after a year of trying to use and troubleshoot.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data entry, client correspondence filing, download of insurance policies takes significant admin tasks off the staff.

  ### 46. Easy Invoicing and Simple Corrections
