The best thing that I like about Apple Pay is that it is so simple to use and setup. When you first see the setup screen it is so easy to add cards with just a click of a button and is in plain clear site no need to go through clunky menus and such. The verification process is also seamless by verifying through a banks app and not having to wait on a call line is convenient. The compatibility of the cards that you can add to Apple Pay is probably every single bank and credit union in America, it would be hard to find a card or bank that does not support Apple Pay. Now on to the security side of Apple Pay, the way that Apple Transacts these payments are very cool and full of safety measures. The way that Apple processes payments are by not using your actually card number rather they use a virtual card number that is linked to your real payment and send that to the merchant. In the case that the merchant gets hacked then the hacker would only have access to your virtual one time card and not your real card. This makes me feel a lot safer when using my card either online or in stores. Stolen credit cards are my worries the most and using Apple Pay I have no worries about getting my info lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Apple Pay for merchants? A thing that I do not like about Apple Pay is that the limitation is very picky. Apple Pay is only for Apple devices that are newer than the iPhone 6 and that blows away a lot of the market for users that want to take advantage of the software. Another thing that I do not like in particular is the fact that Apple Pay is not universally accepted everywhere. When going to certain merchants I have no idea whether or not that Apple Pay would be accepted or not? Going up to the cashier and trying to use Apple Pay is very cumbersome and embarrassing when trying to tap your phone on the card reader and not having anything working. I think that Apple should persuade all merchants to use this technology and maybe provide an incentive for a short period to get them on board. Another issue that I ran across is that sometimes the transactions are glitched in the wallet app, one time I went shopping at a store and when I checked on the wallet app about the transaction, it showed me a totally different merchant that I had not went to, but the transaction was made at the place I bought from, so that was an issue. That is a big issue that needs to be fixed as it is important to the consumer to get accurate information about their transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Apple Pay for merchants: Use Apple Pay everywhere you go for your own safety. Nowadays with technology getting so advanced and hackers being able to steal your data easily, Apple Pay can save the day! The way that each transaction is process makes sure that your data is not compromised when hackers hack into the merchants systems looking for card numbers. Apple Pay makes your card numbers a one time transaction and the card will get disposed and no one would be able to use it. Great to keep your financial information safe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Apple Pay for merchants solving and how is that benefiting you? The main problem that I am solving with Apple Pay is credit card fraud. Credit card fraud is a big thing that is happening these days as hackers are finding ways around systems to gain customers cards and information. With Apple Pay these cards are a one time use per transaction and once the card is used by me, no one can use it again as the card number would be disposed. This is such a good method to use to combat credit card fraud in the world. Another benefit that I have found is that my wallet is a lot lighter thanks to Apple Pay, I do not have to carry all of my cards at once, and have them all stored on my phone to use with Apple Pay. All of the merchants that I go to accept Apple Pay, so that is not a problem for me. The connivence factor is such an important thing to me because I tend to loose stuff a lot but when it comes to my phone, it is always with me but if I do loose it, it is password protected so no one could use Apple Pay. I love the fact that you can use Apple Pay directly from your smartphone. I personally have forgot my payment card and in time of need Apple Pay has assisted me in purchasing products without having my actual card present. It is very efficient and means you do not have to always carry your purse/wallet with you. The payment is instant and with 2 clicks on your lock button, Apple Pay is ready to be used. I also like that Apple Pay is secure, my phone (XS MAX) uses face recognition meaning that only I can authorise the Apple Pay to work and be used. I use Apple Pay at work when I have to make orders and instead of typing out my whole card again, I can just use it through my Iphone directly. It is instant! Usable anywhere as long as there is contactless available, underground train, restaurants, shopping, pretty much everywhere! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Apple Pay for merchants solving and how is that benefiting you? Saving time at work when having to pay for different admin equipment and orders for the use of the school. As I work at times on the sales aspect, it can be very frustrating having to always type your card details, especially when you are going to be buying a few things. Furthermore, Apple Pay has a record of the times you have used it, this is great as just screenshotting this will mean a record is available and can be referred to at any time.
