My apps are loading up faster and more seamlessly. I also really like the window management tool. This is new to me and I've really utilized it while working. I'm able to do a quick swipe and all of my open windows pop up, from which I can select the one I want to work from. This has been very helpful for me as I tend to work on multiple projects at the same time. I've been much more efficient in managing all tasks throughout the work day. Overall I am very happy with this new update to the Apple OS. I tend to have my files somewhat disorganized and the Spotlight search tool helps me find apps and files quickly. It's super easy to use and keeps me working instead of searching for things I've misplaced on my drive. I've also used the split screen feature on my virtual calls. I have my video on one side of the screen, and any documents I need open on the call on the other side of the screen. I've most commonly used this in interviewing candidates (having their resume on half of the screen). We've also taught this technique to all of our recruiters. I used this computer to build some Web projects and create some ideas on Illustrator and After Effects. I think that I don't need another computer at the moment because this one was covering all that I need. This OS was fully great at the speed to start the OS, it was very secure. I have resources of 16GB on the ram to work on it and I had a processor intel i5 second generation. The duration of the battery was fully great you can keep working 4 hours continuously without using the charger. The user experience is fully great too because is very intuitive than windows for example you can have hot corners and use it to create access to the dashboard, desktop and is pretty simple to use it, if you are working on a desktop computer or if you are using a trackpad as well. Just as an example, I tried to take certification from PearsonVue website home.pearsonvue.com and the exam website does not run well on this operative system and I needed to resit the exam. I cannot state how valuable having more info on-screen like that was at the time combing through dozens of apps while working in AppleCare. **What do you dislike about Apple OS X El Capitan?** There seemed to me to be a bug in the Mail app that was intermittent; a problem where it required me to sign out and back in at least once a week. Once it did that sometimes the emails could get rearranged. It was never resolved except updating the OS later on. **Recommendations to others considering Apple OS X El Capitan:** Even in 2021, if you need to use this OS say for technical reasons or even just because of hardware limitations it’s still a good OS to use. There is plenty of support for it still from AppleCare the service side of Apple and online documentation for any help you’d need. **What problems is Apple OS X El Capitan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speaking on multi-tasking, El Capitan was prime. It enabled me to have multiple pieces of data on screen in full split size and on a 27” screen it was game-changing. Also there is the pin tab feature where you could finally keep track of frequently visited sites/pages which is crucial for looking up those technical pages for the job. ### 29. The first new thing I noticed was the large cursor, because I was there fiddling with Force Touch and lo and behold I see it magnified to get located. I guess with 2 4K displays connected to a Mac this is a useful feature. The second was the speed in opening applications. I had read in the press releases the adoption of the famous Metal framework on OS X but I expected something related to the graphics, not so much to the management of the UI.
