## Apple Numbers Reviews
 ### 1. Simplified for Spreadsheets You Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb B. | Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

The thing I like most about Numbers is the fact that the program is designed for someone who is maybe not an analytical thinker. It still has all the features you might see in Microsoft Excel, however, it's build into a program that is simpler in it's look and easier on the eyes when you're working on a spreadsheet. I am a firm believer that the fewer buttons and graphics there are in a program, the less overwhelming it is and Apple does this nicely with Numbers. Plus, it's absolutely free for Mac users which makes it easy to get the spreadsheets you need done at a cheap price.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Honestly, even though I like the fact that Numbers is simplified in it's look, I wish it didn't only show the cells that you are working in. I wish that I could just copy something over to another cell without having to expand the spreadsheet first. It just adds an extra step to something that should be super simple.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly I use Numbers for creating the spreadsheets I need for financial reports for my church. I'm able to export what I need from quickbooks without any problem and edit it into easily digestible information through Numbers. I've realized the benefit of Numbers is just that I'm able to utilize a powerful software without having to spend money on it as a monthly or yearly subscription. And I can still export all my documents as PDFs or as Excel files.

 ### 2. Apple Numbers is an amazing tool for disecting data for meaningful purposes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

What I love about Numbers is that it provides an abundance of tools that allow users to generate calculations, reports, and data to increase the understanding of their own business model. In addittion, its useful for people who want to generate data in tables or graphs to get a visual representation of information.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I currently have no dislikes about Apple Numbers since all the features I am currently using have only benefited myself and the business. The only improvements I think Apple Numbers could use are implementing more sections to increase the variety of templates available.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Apple Numbers is an amazing tool that others should take the time to explore, as it could play a vital role in business efficiency.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits I am realizing from Apple numbers primarily revolve around being able to generate personal finance reports and business reports in such a quick and efficient manner. It is also allowing me to get the information in a user friendly manner where I can access the information easily and store it securely.

 ### 3. Best spreadsheet application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahant S. | sevak, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I like the most about Numbers is the UI of application as well as the chart feature because we can create chart or table easily through this application.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Numbers is only suitable for macOS. So, it is very difficult to use in Microsft Windows because it is designed for macOS only.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used MacOS for the last seven years; it is complicated for me to use Microsoft Excell for spreadsheets, but when I realized about numbers, then I used Numbers. Numbers is best for those who used MacOS and for beginners.

 ### 4. Apple Numbers - a great alternative for Mac heavy users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | On Premise Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Organizing and filtering data is easy on Apple Numbers. For a user who has been using Microsoft Excel for years will find Apple Numbers to be intuitive and easy to pick up. Not an exact copy, but a great spreadsheet tool to creat trackers, accounting reports as well input advanced formulas to help quantify data and crunch numbers for desired outputs.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Apple Numbers is a great alternative, however you can not as easily build out advanced functions as you would in Microsoft Excel. Excel makes it easier to build formulas and other functions as well as design macros to computate data. Apple numbers will be an adjustment and limited in some features, but if you are just starting out, you should be able to pick it up with ease.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Apple Numbers is the #2 to Microsoft Excel. If your organization does not use Microsoft office products, than this is a great alternative. This software is also complimentary on mac computer so there is a huge cost savings for you, your organization or partnership. If you are concerned about keeping cost low, than this is a fantastic alternative and I would rank that as an A+.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for my spreadsheet needs when I am unable to use Microsoft Excel. Numbers allow me analyze data about my organization including managing finances and tracking performance. I mostly use Numbers for personal, but at times have used it for business as well.

 ### 5. As with all Mac programs, Apple Numbers is easy to use and visually pleasing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christyn K. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I like how you can integrate graphs and data from Numbers into Pages and Keynote files

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Could use more tutorials, as I'm not a numbers person!

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

If you use Excel, Numbers will be a lovely upgrade in terms of ease of use and layout.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anytime I need a spreadsheet or chart, Numbers is the place I go. It can also transform data into visually pleasing charts.

 ### 6. Simple to use, but Excel is still the winner

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda Z. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I would say it's more intuitive than Microsoft Excel and it has most capabilities you'd ever need

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Working in an Excel file and then reopening it in Excel is not going to work without a hitch. Format and sizing can sometimes look a bit odd.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excel for Mac has a lot of quirks and issues. Apple Numbers solves that problem as it (obviously) is built for Macs. Used it back in college as well and mostly worked well, but could occasionally have format issues when the file was opened in Excel.

 ### 7. If you use MacOS, there is no reason why would you not want to use Apple Numbers!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

If you use MacOs, Apple Numbers is the free version of Microsoft Excel. Compare to Microsoft Excel, when runs on MacOs, Apple Numbers is way smoother as it is native for the MacOS system.

Other than being smooth, what I like best about Apple Numbers is that when you type a formula, for instance, vertical lookup (VLOOKUP), Apple Numbers will tell you in details what you have to input. Moreover, it provides a table containing the list of functions and an explanation what each function do as well. On Excel, you will have to search online, but here, it is built in. Extremely convenience and useful.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

In my personal opinion, I believe that Apple Numbers is difficult to use. Maybe, this is might be because almost everyone is used to Excel more than Apple Numbers. For example, I don't where I can perform a PIVOT Table and also control the size of the cells.

Similar to Keynotes, this program is only available for MacOS and you might find difficulties when you have to download and share the file with Microsoft Excel users. Even though the file from Apple Numbers can be download as CSV or XLMS, the format changes and sometimes, it have to be retouch and redone.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Using MacOS? Just try Numbers if you don't have Excel. However, not many people use Numbers and you might eventually find more success in using Excel especially because Excel is the main stream application right now in the workign environment, not Numbers.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you purchase a MacOS, Apple Numbers is free. If you don't want to purchase Excel, you can use Apple Numbers as an alternative. Also, if you are using an old MacOS computer, Apple Numbers will perform way better than Excel.

 ### 8. Just great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Numbers has a beautiful user interface and is a powerful, great program for calculating statistics and more. You can use different sheets, insert charts and much more.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I'd love to have more templates to save time.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I personally don't like Excel because of the messed up user interface and the missing features like handoff. This is all solved with Numbers, and guess what: It's completely free! There are no subscriptions or one-time costs!

 ### 9. Great software for organizing big data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Auriia P. | Founder & Creative Director , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I love how seamless and easy it is to make charts out of big data. It's better than excel and you can literally use it on your phone.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I don't have any dislikes to be honest, this product has helped me so much at work and in meetings.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to place my data into this software and reorganize as well as structure out a proper analysis. There's a great assortment of templates as well!

 ### 10. Jordan's Numbers Review

**Reviewed by:** Jordan W. | Director Media Public Relations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

The thing I like best about Numbers is its seamless ease of use across my MacBook, iPad pro and iPhone. It's invaluable to be able to sync across my devices and pull up whatever I need, wherever or whenever I need it.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

The only thing I'd say I dislike is the adjustment of using Excel my entire professional life. A few things are different or menu options in different places, but it was pretty easy to get used to.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Numbers for both creating press lists and tracking docs for clients. I also use it for budgeting purposes. The benefit again comes from being able to sync across my apple devices.

 ### 11. An excellent software for organizing finances

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I enjoy how easy it is to use this software. I'm able to easily add in formulas which will add up the cells for me and place the exact amount where I have decided to place the total. There is a capacity for naming all types of spreadsheets made, making this an easy software to use for both personal and business purposes as well as providing easy access to fonts, style of heading, color, size of fonts, etc..I can also share or airdrop a spreadsheet from my iPhone to my MacBook Air as a way to keep them current and updated across devices.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

There is nothing that I do not like about this software.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can use this software to handle and manage spreadsheets doe both personal and business matters. I can manage them easily across multiple devices and save them for future references that may be necessary.

 ### 12. User-friendly spreadsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I like that it's intuitive and easy to use, as Apple software generally is. I prefer it to Excel, but I appreciate that I can easily import, open, work with, and export Excel documents, so there are no compatibility issues.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I can't say that I have really run into many problems, but it would be helpful to be able to set global default font preferences that apply to all the templates.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for general accounting, as well as tracking purchases and sales in my publishing busness. I also use it when I just need to keep track of something and creating a database would be overkill. It is one of my most essential apps.

 ### 13. Easy to understand and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

presentations look good, very intuitive it tems of navigating around it, and it is great as it comes with the Mac OS package (I use it for tracking data and presantations). Not a 1 to 1 comparison with Excel but good enough for me.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

It is not a cross-over platform (to Excel, Google spreadsheets, it takes a bit of getting used to the menu when navigating). this is the area to be improved on, I think

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data tracking, presentations, ease of data distribution (within Apple ecosystem)- if the data do not need to be passed outside of the Apple system- it does make everything run faster.

 ### 14. Helps you track numbers in day to day life.

The best thing about this application is, it's completely free. The application comes with macOS and working stable with all excel related types of documents.

I use it especially for my secondary tasks. As it's easy to use for basic work.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Apple Numbers in my organization to analyze our data. This data includes analyzing how many people showed up compared to our previous events, the age demographics compared to our last event, etc.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

ITs similar to excel and its free but no all free things are good...

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Its hard to learn new formulas, its not compatible 100% with office and its hard work with this if your job not use. Its more difficult to me make a nice format with colors, and difficult to share if the people dont use. Definitely its only to apple users that work with apple users. Close world.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

if you work alone its good use, you can go to the apple store near of your home and learn from experts and this is a very important thing!

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Executive Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I like the general spreadsheet functions that Numbers provides. I also appreciate that you can export in many types of files so you can share with others that don't have Apple Numbers.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Some of the functionality that we have become accustomed to through Excel is slightly different within Numbers. That's okay - sometimes it's even better, but creates a little bit of a un-learning (how you do it in Excel) amount of time.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Apple Numbers is a good spreadsheet tool that also gives you the ability to collaborate with others within your team.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple Numbers is a spreadsheet tool. You can display, sort, organize data.

Again, it's suitable for basic and simple needs.

 ### 24. Spreadsheet Software that can do better

Lack of several functions. It's difficult to find formulae and apple them. Pales in comparison to alternatives like Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

It is a perfect program to use with basic spreadsheet usage.

 ### 26. Well designed product for Apple Users, but lacking for greater professional collaboration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carey R. | Sales Executive, Cloud Renewals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

It came with my new MacBook Pro and I can access it via the web.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Apple makes a fortune coding inept compatibility issues with other solutions outside of its ecosystem. Numbers does not convert well to MSFT Excel, the dominant program for spreadsheet purposes. This reduces the ability to collaborate with others who aren't as established in the business world and whose first experience with a spreadsheet program is by virtue of convenience.

There's no sign of the trend changing because it is very effective and profitable for the company. You can import .xls or .xlsx files into Numbers, but good luck converting/importing a .numbers file into Google Sheets/MSFT Excel because many of the formulas are likely not to convert well/work. They do the same coding magic with all their other solutions.

Take texting with iPhones, for instance. I have coded their iMessage servers to be incestuous and claim it is the fault of poor coding and security of every other provider, namely Google, that you can't name a tread in a group chat if there's a non-Apple user in the thread because "all their texts are secure in iMessage whereas everything else in unsecure." There's a small merit of truth in that they may be better able to screen spam texts from other number sources for malware, but that has nothing to do with being able to give a group of numbers in a thread a name. Absolute BS.

The name of the game for them is the create an artificial need by creating the false impression that other products are inept in hopes of getting new clients who have bought into the narrative. In the meantime, they introduce items that will only work if you dive deeper into the Apple ecosystem with promises of connectivity Nirvana, the end of all technological struggles.

To temper this opinion, I'd like to note that what they build/design, they do quite well. Their tech is due some praise. What I cannot stand for is the falsehood by which they predicate their growth. It's akin to a Ms. Universe showing how a SI Model of the year lacks beauty or virtue by showing an image of the person waking from sleep.

Simply put, if Apple wants to be the true epitome of excellence in computing, then they should commit to have a true "Apples to Apples" comparison and for god's sake, take the same pride in being an unbiased platform for human connectivity and communication rather than their slight of hand tricks!

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the same tool I would use MSFT Excel for. The only reason I use Numbers is from a non-professional or neophyte who is not as accustom to using the ubiquitous standard.

 ### 27. An amazing and free replacement for Microsoft Excel on the Mac

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

What I most like about Apple Numbers is the fact it comes at no extra cost with any apple device. Also the templates the software has are complete and useful.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

What I don't like about Apple Numbers is when I have to export the file to Excel. Normally when I have to open in Excel the file I did in Apple Numbers the file looks completly different. The information is the same but the form changes.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Apple Numbers I'm solving all the invoices and general management of the work I do. The benefit I realized I have with Apple Numbers is that I can start any file on my laptop and continue working on it on my phone.

 ### 34. Apple Numbers helps make life easier on the move

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Having the ability to create multiple tables on a single page

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

The free form style makes it difficult to export to excel if I need to do more advanced things.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to be able to be traveling and doing spreadsheet type work and updating on the go or move allows me to keep up with my tasks

 ### 35. Good for specific and simple templates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar R. | Library Clerk, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I like the ease of the templates it offers. It has so many practical templates for traveling, attendance, budget views and easily converts files to pdf. I love the availibility it has to be used in many platforms. You can use an app on an iOS device or from a browser and it will have most of the same availabilities. It works great when zooming in or start typing, on smaller devices, unlike other programs that redirect your view when you start typing.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I dislike the complexity to insert a formula or creating one. For example if you just want a sum of column or row you can't just highlight and press enter or press equal sign and enter like Excel or Sheets. Also, the colors for cells are limited. Sometimes it will redirect to a color grid and sometimes not. I do wish you can do a bit more on a non PC device as to other platforms. But, it has left it to basics when it's a mobile device.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

If you're looking for something quick and simple to create list, data input, attendance or budget views this is the spreadsheet program for you. It also easily goes with iOS devices. It would work well on the browser as well for those without iOS devices.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for attendance. There is already a template for that and I love it! Easily input your data and the boxes and checkboxes are already there. Also, I use it for travel budget. It's easy to find a template that has the data sheet and a pie chart or bar graph for quick view. Converting to PDF files on a mobile device is my favorite. It's much easier than any other platform I use on a mobile device, including Google Sheets and Excel.

 ### 36. Great spreadsheet for quick tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keath C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

When doing quick things like a schedule or any template included or created it's just faster than excel or any other option, has great presentation built in so even something created in 3 minutes looks great and ready to send. The selection of templates is just amazing, ready to use with less than 1-minute customization.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

It's not a replacement for excel, although it is a spreadsheet it's quite limited to basic stuff as most macros only work with excel

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

If you use MacOSX it's already included and does some things better than excel but it's not a replacement.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to keep ward for some projects sometimes and stuff like who goes to lunch at what time when we need someone to be there just in case something arises and that can be solved with a quick schedule spreadsheet and a 5-minute meeting. Sometimes a quick analysis needs to be run for 2 or 3 variables. The thing I really like is that it can be used for work-related stuff but doesn't have the same feel as with using Excel or Outlook.

 ### 37. Best all around app for spreadsheet files

**Reviewed by:** Cory H. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I love that I can save the file to the iCloud drive and have access to it immediately from my iPhone. There is also a clean interface that is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Some items on the iPhone app could be upgraded for ease of use but overall still an amazing app.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

If you use Apple computers this is a must.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this app to monitor sales for my employees and it’s a simple way to keep track of them on the go.

 ### 38. Great simple and easy to use spreadsheeting application without the bulk of excel.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Numbers a simple and easy to use speadsheeting tool with lots of great built in templates. It is easy to use and makes speadsheets less intimiating.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

It sometimes lacks features compared to excel for complex stats.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

It is mac only.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to create speadsheets or analyse simple data sets

 ### 39. “A solid spreadsheet tool with missing features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elisabeta G. | Technical Support, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

If you're using mobile app; I don't think the interface is good enough. Many functions such as hiding columns, removing duplicates or selective highlighting are limited for iPhone or iPad versions. Another issue is that low compatibility with excel files or previous version of numbers files. Especially, if you try to import complex excel files, then definitely you'll have an issue. Another issue is that if you don't have high speed internet connection, it can take some time to import files from cloud. Last of all, I personally find it difficult to work on iPad or iPhone screen. May be we got used to computers too much...However it still works for simple documents; like lists or tables. You can't really beat Numbers because it typically comes packaged onto a new Mac computer -- and it's a great piece of software for individuals and businesses alike to manage their spreadsheet-related needs. Numbers performs the basic functionalities quite well and the design/UI is particularly impressive -- it makes me want to continue using the software because it looks so great on Mac displays!

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

he best thing about Numbers is how intuitive it is to use, for different functions like table preparation, lengthy calculations, scheduling and more. The Apple made interface makes so much sense. Another cool thing about Numbers is that it comes with a huge library of ready made templates for various purposes and all can be customised very easily. Apple keeps adding new features quite often to this software and its companion softwares like Pages and Keynote. They all have the same design layout making it easier and a compact and uniform user experience. Plus one can collaborate with distant colleagues and work together, this is as fluid and smooth like other Apple software products. One will never regret coming from Microsoft Word or Google Docs, rather one will enjoy how butter smooth and robust Numbers is in what it does.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Overall, Numbers is a better spreadsheet program. The distinction of sheets with individual tables contained within and control over the design of those tables makes it much easier to create good-looking spreadsheets. You actually put something togheter from a design standpoint, rather than being the victim of an interface. There are a few specific features of Excel (pivot tables, VB scripting) that you don't get here, but for most users you'll end up with something that's much more visually striking and human readable.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

his is one of the few softwares, where its hard to find a disadvantage. A spreadsheet software as stable and solid as Number will surely meet all the requirements of the user performing tables and calculations. If anyone is using trackpad or Apple mouse, then it will take a few minutes to get used to how the software works with gestures, otherwise there are hardly any cons in this software. I find it more challenging to create totals for columns or to use some of the Sum or other functionality as compared to Excel.

 ### 40. Apple Numbers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamika H. | Math Tutor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I like apple numbers because I am able to make very nice visually appealing spreadsheets. This is really great for those who do party planning and other sorts of planning. I believe using Apple Numbers is really good for that reason. Since I am a Mac user I do use numbers frequently. Apple Numbers is truly one of the best software you can use for many different reasons. Also since it is an Mac product you can also use it on other Mac products which is awesome!

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Currently I do not dislike anything about Apple Numbers. The service/product is great and I am glad that it is also FREE! Which I know anyone loves free things especially if it is worth it. I have never had any problems with Apple Numbers at all, and it is fairly very easy to use. I have never had the software crash on me and when I have transported data from excel it it was really easy and smooth to do!

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Apple Numbers I have calculated how I wanted to seat an event, calculated meals, and creating nice graphics to be able to show to my team members. Also since it is a Mac product I was able to easily use it on my iPad and even on my phone! What I and my team likes the most is how professional but easy this software can be to use.

 ### 41. I hate numbers but I love Apple Numbers!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renemyr C. | Sales Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Numbers or Apple Numbers is one of the best alternatives there is to excel. It is free to use. It can be easily connected to cloud service like iCloud. It is available on mac, ipad, iphone and even windows computers thru iCloud.com. It is very clean and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

The only downside I see about Apple Numbers is that sometimes, the layout gets change for some spreadsheets originally made thru ms excel. But not a biggy since they can be edit and rearranged easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

I highly recommend Apple Numbers to those who works on spreadsheets. It is the best alternative to ms excel but for free. And it can do even better since it is available on macbook, iphone, ipad and even on windows thru iCloud.com!

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple Numbers is a great help for us who works in the office and even for those who are sometimes in the field. Since it is also available on iPhone and iPad, even if I don't have my mac with me, should I need to do some quick edits on a certain spreadsheet, I can easily do it on my mobile. Likewise, I can work together and collaborate with my friends and colleagues on a particular spreadsheet. At times, when I don't have any Apple product at hand, I don't have to worry since I can still access it on a regular windows computer using common browser thru iCloud.com so nothing stops me from working and getting things done. Functionalities wise like formulas work same way with excel, so there is nothing to be studied again and again, same foundation, same use, but better!

 ### 42. Numbers is the best tool for creating spreadsheet.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa K. | Senior Project Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

By using this software, we can create outstanding spreadsheets with unlimited sheets and templates. Numbers is the most innovative spreadsheet app in the market. I am highly being able to create large-scale spreadsheets in which unlimited data stored without any hurdles. Numbers allows us to manage to complex calculations with its tables and that makes everything so easier.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

The one thing I dislike about this software is that it does not provide the additional information for users who can help make their work in a simpler way. Creating the charts and graphs isn’t too intuitive if the data is complex. Numbers is a very powerful tool because of this, it requires a lot of time to learn its functions.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Numbers with solve all of our data entry storage and analysis problems, so I would highly recommend this software to everyone because of it's storage ability of sheets. Moreover, Numbers is one of the best software available in the market with high quality of spreadsheets.

 ### 43. Proving spreadsheets can be beautiful too

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie K. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I love using Numbers because it allows me to create a coherent spreadsheet with functional formulas without feeling like it’s too ugly to show in a presentation. The tables alone are enough to win me over, but the plethora of templates had me at hello.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

The only issue I have with Numbers is actually more of an issue with Excel - the cross-platform compatibility for my non-Mac colleagues is rough, mostly due to the things I love about Numbers that are lacking in other systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Spreadsheets don’t have to be scary, Numbers makes them more intuitive and also prettier to look at.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Numbers to create order logs, sign-in/out sheets, pick-up lists, and shopping reminders - home and work. I love having these things standardized so I don’t have to learn a new format every time I go to another list.

 ### 44. Sleek, but needs work on usability

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Senior Technical Specialist, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Numbers is very sleek, which is par for the course with Apple. It's also great how it is preloaded with templates for certain tasks such as a financial budget.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

I'm very used to Excel and the functionality Microsoft uses. There is indeed a learning curve when it comes to Numbers if you are used to Microsoft. Functions are slightly different and it's sometimes difficult to adjust the populated templates.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Take tutorials, watch videos, and take the time to get acquainted with the software before using it and getting frustrated.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use apple numbers more for personal use than business. I'll use the preloaded budget template to see my spending habits and will also use it for ad hoc reporting if planning a vacation or something similar.

 ### 45. Apple Numbers >= Excel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Debbie M. | Accounting Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

The great thing about Apple Numbers it's the capability of opening your spreadsheet from your Macbook, Ipad, Iphone well in all the Apple's ecosystem.

One of the things you will notice from other similar applications it's the interface a beautiful, light and easy to use and intuitive application, that is Apple Numbers.

Don't worry about learning a new bunch of formulas all are almost the same and you will keep the same tools or even more.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Apple Numbers its a great tool but you may face some troubles using Numbers in any other operating system like Windows, but don't worry there is a lot of online file converter.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Don't be afraid to switch from Excel if you have an Apple product, Numbers is not a replacement for excel, it's a must-have. forget those times when other spreadsheets applications get freeze, this doesn't happen in Apple Numbers.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing information, using dynamic tables and accountable calculations.

 ### 46. A valid alternative to Excel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

The aspect I prefer about Apple Numbers is definitely the graphic layout: it is very pleasant to use and consistent with all the products that work in the Apple environment; it definitely makes you want to use it more compared to the equivalent Microsoft product.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

What I appreciate less, however, is the usability of the software when using it from a mobile application. Many functions (such as hiding columns, removing duplicates, or selective highlighting) are limited for iPhone or iPad versions. Another issue is the poor compatibility with Excel files or the previous version of Numbers files, particularly if you try to import complex Excel files. Another problem is that if you don't have a high-speed internet connection, it can take time to import files from the cloud.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Overall, Numbers is one of the best spreadsheet programs. The distinction of sheets with individual tables contained within and the control over their design makes it much easier to create attractive spreadsheets. There are some specific features of Excel (pivot tables, VB scripting) that you don't get here, but for most users, you end up with something that is much more visually striking and human-readable.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A stable and solid spreadsheet software like Number will surely meet all the needs of a user performing tables and calculations. If someone is using the Apple trackpad or mouse, then it will take a few minutes to get used to how the software works with gestures, otherwise there are almost no flaws in this software. I find it more challenging to create totals for columns or use some of the sum functions or other features compared to Excel.

 ### 47. Improved excel for MacOSX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harold W. | Consulting Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

It's really easy to use, has a lot of templates that are useful for a lot of situations like task lists, schedules, calendars, travel planners and some others that I have not used yet.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Excel is still needed when dealing with Macros, especially if they were programmed in visual basic and not created by recording excel.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

It's not included on MacOSX by default but it's easily available from App store, I like to separate tasks that are light usage in Numbers and heavy tasks in excel. It's nice to have separate apps instead of using Excel as a go-to all spreadsheets app.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealing with spreadsheets that are not to complex that a macro is needed to operate them.

 ### 48. Way easier to use than Excel. A godsend for offices that have Mac and PC computers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

Some of the departments in the office have PC computers and laptops but the Creative Department only use Macs. Rather than paying for an Office 365 subscription, Numbers is fantastic as you can open, edit and save Microsoft Excel files and send them back to colleagues using PC computers. That being said, I do find Numbers more intuitive and user friendly compared to Microsoft Excel.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Opening an Excel file is fine but saving it isn't as simple as hitting command+S. If you do that, it saves as a Numbers file which can be a little annoying if you're used to just automatically hitting command+s (PC equivalent of CTRL+S). You have to click file, export to and then Excel, finally copying over the existing saved file. You'd think they have a workaround for this by now!

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

Give it a go if you're a Mac user who needs access to Excel files but doesn't have the budget for Office 365. Just be aware that saving an Excel file after editing isn't as simple as hitting command+s.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, the main problem being in an office where certain departments have PC computers and other departments exclusively using Mac computers. Rather than paying for Office 365 and having Excel on a Mac, you can use Numbers to open, edit and save Excel files to send back to your colleagues using PC computers.

 ### 49. It's like an easy excel with a lot of templates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riley B. | Aplication Developer , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

A lot of easy to use templates to use for situations I actually encounter, for example when we are having a meeting we track the attendance of our team members and there is a template included in Numbers that help us with that, with an easy to mark checklist.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

It's a nice to have tool with extra functions that are easy to use, but in no way is a good replacement for excel.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

It's a lot more flexible than excel as long as you dont require complicated macros

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealing with simple spreadsheets like attendance, schedules and simple planners.

 ### 50. A bit difficult to get used to.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edem K. | Senior Software Engineer., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple Numbers?**

I am an huge fan of Apple and thus the fact that Numbers is created by Apple is the primary reason I use this software.
Asides from the above, Numbers loads faster than Microsoft Excel .
I like the templates made available to users like myself and thus I do not always have to start creating spreadsheets from scratch every time I am working on personal budgets.

**What do you dislike about Apple Numbers?**

Coming from a background of using Microsoft Excel for a long time,I must say the learning curve with Numbers was very steep. I found it especially difficult adjusting to the populated templates provided by Numbers.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Numbers:**

It came pre-installed on my iPad for free.

**What problems is Apple Numbers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apple numbers primarily for personal activity such as creating a weekly budget or a financial projection for my personal income.
