## Apple iOS Reviews
  ### 1. iOS Pros and Cons

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Collin W. | Senior Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

Its seamless integration with all the other Apple devices. The way you can copy something on one device then paste it on another. The way it's designed to be snappy and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

I don't like the way it only allows you to size some windows in one direction. sometimes I would like to widen a window to see the contents more clearly but it only llows you to make it vertically bigger. Also, it doesn't always allow you move a pop-up window. Sometimes a setting dialogue pops up and there's a field to be filled in and the information required to fill it in is present in the main window behind the pop-up dialogue, but the OS doesn't allow you move the pop-up dialogue out the way!

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not really clear what this question is trying to establish. The iOS solves the problem of making the iPhone do what you want it to do!

  ### 2. OS update causes problems; poor support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R S. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

Apple operating system enables you to use Mac, etc., which provides useful capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

I upgraded from a previous operating system and it has caused a problem on my Mac. I have had similar problems when upgrading from previous operating systems. Apple support has been difficult to work with. They were supposed to call me back and did not. Their online system to access support did not allow me access because it said I had the wrong serial number, which I later verified was correct. I have gotten misdiagnoses and bad advice even from their Senior Advisors.

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were problems with the previous operating system and I was forced to move to the new one.

  ### 3. Not Impressive At All

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khawja S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

There is nothing I can say I like about iOS.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

Simply a pathetic operating system no changes at all since it was launched if you have used iOS 6 and now using iOS 9 or 10 you would literally feel no different all in GUI or features change or upgrades. Just making people fool by sending upgrades every now and then. Not much free softwares available on apple store for almost every software you have to pay and it also forces users to pay for upgrade icloud space also.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple iOS:**

I would never recommend anyone to use iOS.

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No benefits at all.

  ### 4. Not the best for creativity

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

It's simple and never changing .. easy to use not much to it

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

Its not good for those who want to be creative and have freedom to rearrange, add personality

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing really

  ### 5. applie ios

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

the best user interface to interact with os.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

it shall allow for faster bootup and more collaboration.

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

collaboration.

  ### 6. Garbage since iOS 10!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2016

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

I don't like much of anything about iOS 10.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

Apple changed the GUI to be painful to use on older hardware. I HATE the new Unlock method on older hardware that doesn't have Touch ID. Notifications get buried in new layout. Swiping to clear ends up opening the camera ALL THE TIME.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple iOS:**

If you like a device that tries to think for you and controls every aspect of your mobile environment, then iOS is for you. Otherwise, look at Android.

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using as mobile OS on phone that is in the field troubleshooting AV issues across campus.

  ### 7. Terrible Experience for Developers

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnny H. | Developer, Broadcast Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

iOS is smooth, elegant, and easy for users. The system just feels more solid and reliable than alternatives, such as Android.

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

Apple's takes Microsoft's place as leader in frustration for developers and, in true Apple fashion, charges the developer for even the most minimal usage. Unlike Google's app store, which allows developers to post their apps for free, Apple charges $99 per year for developer services such as the iOS store. Many iOS developers never profit from their apps enough to even pay back the $99 fee. It gets worse - Apple takes a 30% cut of all revenue, whether from app sales or in-app purchases.

While the financial details are upsetting, what I take issue with most is Apple's disinterest in making iOS a decent environment for web/cross-platform developers. Just as Microsoft in the days of "old IE", Apple's browser technology support is generally stagnant. In my most recent project, I encountered a hardly explainable bug and had to rework a lot of my logic to work for iOS, as it lacks webm video and WebRTC support, though, this complaint is only scratching the surface of what Apple is lacking that other vendors have implemented. Another huge frustration, especially considering the $99 yearly fee, is that Apple's application build tool, Xcode, is only available on Mac computers, so ubuntu developers have to switch machines to compile their apps for iOS.

My last major complaint is with the app publishing process. Apple requires that submitted applications be reviewed by their staff before being made live on the iOS store. This process generally takes a week. If a major bug is discovered, even in the best case scenario that the bug is fixed and a new version is submitted that day, the application could be in an unusable state for a week waiting on the Apple review. While we hope there would not be any such devastating bug, it is very unsettling to consider the possibility.

If I were able to publish for Android rather than iOS, I would choose Android, hands down.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple iOS:**

I believe Apple is unethical and inconsiderate. Google has done a great deal to help the developer and technology community advance. I would develop for Android and Google platforms rather than Apple/iOS.

**What problems is Apple iOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a cross-platform application available on the web and iOS. Perhaps due to my serious dissatisfaction with iOS's developer experience, not one benefit of the platform comes to my mind.

  ### 8. Don't force the users, Kill monopoly

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruban K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2013

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

It's really good that Apple takesthe hardware department over that will fully support all the features they need for their software. They maintain the same user experience across the devices with a little bit customization. The only thing that comes to our mind about apple's product is the design and performance

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

What Apple failed understand was, Microsoft fell because of the way they forced users to stay within their limit. That also allowed users to try or create their own solutions. To me, iOS/iPhone will become like IE in the years to come. iOS7 update is a great example. Competitors like Android understand this better and they remain open source. I am expecting more open source OS's (like Firefox OS is already there) soon.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple iOS:**

It's very expensive, but worth for the price. There is no other competitor offering the speed and the performance as this OS. Upgrade to iOS 7 or purchase an apple device.

  ### 9. Excellent UX - but stifling

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert W. | Director of Services and Support Center of Excellence, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2012

**What do you like best about Apple iOS?**

The UX is excellent, intuitive, and very easy to use

**What do you dislike about Apple iOS?**

iOS is extremely proprietary, and very selective about who they "let in" as far as apps, enhancements, add-ons, etc... They control the iOS aftermarket and iOS itself with an iron fist, and there is nothing for advanced users to do about it that does not violate the EULA.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple iOS:**

If you already like Apple, then you know what to expect. If you are trying to decide between iOS and another OS, very seriously consider the two major competitive solutions.
