AppFolio is very user-friendly and straight forward. It's very easy to navigate as well. We've been slowly transitioning to this program and are using it for guest cards, work orders, rental apps, and some reports. I'm looking forward to seeing what else AppFolio is capable of. I wish it would not allow applicants to move forward with each step of the application process without all information needed (for instance occupant relationship or requiring address and contact info for an emergency contact). I love all the features AppFolio Property Manager offers, and I especially love the team I get to work with. The resident portal provides residents with a one-stop shop for their renting experience. I find it very user-friendly. Having all documentation in one program helps with time management, and the cost and tools offered through AppFolio, along with their team, were key reasons for switching from Yardi. It is a complete software package that provides us with end to end management of the homes in our portfolio. This includes easy management of our trust accounts along with maintenance, tenant and owner management plus it has robust reporting. Customer service has been easy and great for us as well. I think AppFolio needs to make some better investments in improving the maintenance piece to better compete with some of the other 3rd party maintenance software companies. The Appfolio property manager has several features to help organize and access tenant and prospective tenant information. I use the site to communicate, draft notices and leases, track maintenance, and manage unit turns. There is also a feature for screenings and income verifications, which makes my job much easier. Everything is all-inclusive, and I utilize the site daily. It is very user-friendly, simple, and the layout is visually appealing as well. If I am unable to find something, I can search for help or reach out to customer support directly in Appfolio. We are using Appfolio to streamline our paperless process and are implementing the app for our residents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about AppFolio? There is no option available for screening non-citizen applicants. This is essential for the demographics of our property. We have many prospective tenants who have work permits or are in the process of obtaining their citizenship or green card, and we cannot screen them properly. Increasing communication with our residents and tracking the progress of maintenance work orders has improved our efficiency, which will help with resident retention.
