The initial setup took a little longer than we anticipated to begin using the platform; there was some miscommunication with preparing to make the first distribution, didn't realize the payment application and underwriter's process were needed. The real difference between AppFolio and its competition is its customer service. The customer service team goes above and beyond to ensure all our questions are answered. They'll answer questions we didn't think to ask. They'll take a short-notice phone call to answer an urgent question. We dislike the price, but not enough to stop using the software. The base price is fair, but AppFolio unveiled an expensive new addition to Investment Management, Alpha. As it stands, Alpha is not worth the extra lift in pricing. However, with the additions they plan to make to Alpha in the future, it will definitely be worth what they are asking. I wish Appfolio Property Manager would communicate to Appfolio Investment Manager to provide a net cashflow amount that IM can then use as the amount that is distributable to investors.
