VA scanners are being phased out in favour of more modern CTEM platforms. AppCheck needs to embrace this trend if they are to remain relevant in 2026. **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** With AppCheck, we can scan all our web applications, identify and resolve flaws and vulnerabilities, locate libraries that need updating, and provide professional scan reports to our clients. ### 2. The ability to manage your own scans for multiple Web Apps is excellent, and the report are clear and can be tailored by audience. The account management and technical onboarding team have been particularly helpful, taking suggestions on board and supporting any issues we have faced. New features and refinements are released on a regular basis which also adds to the the functionality and feel of the tooling itself. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** AppCheck could improve their scoring/categorization of vulnerabilities to align to the newest CVSS framework. Having said this, we have made suggestions to our account team who have assured us there is internal discussions ongoing. Reports could also provide some more customization features such as the ability to manually add additional context etc **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** Regular automated testing with actionable findings for Application teams. Findings providing insights into common best practices which are not being adhered to and therefore allowing training plans to be made for developers ### 4. It also allowed us to get started easily with pre built templates so was able to start scanning quickly then grow with it over time as our understanding grew. The user guides are really helpful and the support team are highly knowledgeable, so when we were unsure about settings to use we were able to get the right support quickly. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** Some of the configuration options can be confusing to understand possibly as there's so much on offer. This coupled with the UI which can feel a little combersome to use at times We are still early in the journey to get GoScript really in use for scanning our platform. It would have been great to have got going with this sooner but appreciate it's quite specialised, but is another tool we will grow with over time. **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to regularly scan our platform and infrastructure for vulnerabilities, and take action on them as soon as they are reported. It has helped us create a regular process that is visible to all of our team, and keep us on top of issues and keep the platform safe. ### 6. The AppCheck team are knowledgable in their field and able to provide flexible solutions and suggestions. The UI is straightforward and easy to use and the reporting is clear and detailed. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** We have only been running for 6 months and so far have no major areas of concern. There was a slight issue with old scans still showing on the platform but this has been satisfactorily explained and resolved. **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are currently only using the Vulnerability scanner but have plans to expland usage into Penetration Testing along with some Dynamic Application Security Testing. This will enable us to produce more specific reports for individual environments instead of the single instance annual pentest. ### 7. They understood time constraints we had as a team and allowed further time to use the demo platform using real data. They guided me through its uses and how to get the best from the platform. Implementation was very simple with pre-assessments set up by Appcheck and any tweaks could be made in the initial onboarding. Allowing our vendors to access the results and manage them in a ticket style interface is great. They can do what they need to do to resolve any detected issues and update. Then its a simple rescan of that specific issue to confirm. I had a few minor issues with security alerts generated by the scanning but as i had come to expect they knew how to deal with these quickly and painlessly. Regular check-ins during the demo, and pre-sales and even after the sale have also made Appcheck stand out. Its how customer service should be. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** If you consider knowing about weaknesses and how to remediate them then i suppose that could be a downside as it will create some work for you or your vendors. But this is a good thing, right? **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have visibility of externally managed and hosted websites and web applications that i previously relied on vendors to manage. With Appcheck i can be more proactive and manage my own security with our vendors. I can also provide the exact issue detected and remediation advice. ### 8. Using the GoScript features it has been able to successfully authenticate to many of the more complex applications we need to scan. There are a large number of configuration options that allow a user to fine tune scans to better match the applicaiton that is being tested. As with most DAST scanners there is still need to triage and validate findings, but in our experiance the number of false positives is low. I appreciate the overall scan coverage. I must say that the Appcheck team has been great when it comes to providing support. They have listend and work with our team from day one even implementing feature requests that we have submitted in a timely manner. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** There are a few areas that I think need to be improved. For starters the UI is very outdated. If you have a larger number of scans across many applications it becomes hard to navigate and manage because the tilters are limited and thoes that are present are not persistant. The overall workflow needs to be improved as well. Findings that are identified across reocurring scans do not automaticaly close if they are not found in subsequent scans. This only occures if you mark the first instance of the vulnerability as Fixed prior to running the next scan. Again this becomes operationally heavy when dealing with a large number of applications and scans that run on a frequent basis. **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** Provides and automated means to augment more manual web application pentests ### 11. It has a good range of findings it can identify. The user interface is simple to use. **What do you dislike about APPCHECK?** The user interface can be slow to use. The vulnerability workflow is fairly basic which makes managing vulnerabilities a chore. The reporting exports feels dated. The columns in the tables cannot be resized so some text doesn't fit. **What problems is APPCHECK solving and how is that benefiting you?** AppCheck is identifying easy to find vulnerabilities which means internal penetration testing can focus on different more sophisticated findings. It allows security testing to be performed on a constant basis which helps with a frequent release schedule. ### 12.
