I see the value of Apollo.io in its ability to help automate and streamline my workflows. I appreciate that they were able to have our licenses ready right away and for trying to do what they can. I've been in and out of support for about a month now, and I still don't feel confident with using it. I feel like there should be a more structured enablement process, especially for going live with new software. Every time I have a question for support, it's a new person handling it, and I have to explain everything again, which is time-consuming. It would be more helpful to have someone consistent or an account manager. The initial setup wasn't great either; we got our licenses quickly, but then we were kind of left to figure things out on our own. I've had to reach out to others in the industry for help because the support from Apollo.io isn't that strong. They changed the way credits work and keep adding features that only create clutter, while removing what was actually useful, such as LinkedIn task automation. What do you dislike about Apollo.io? I’ve tried using Apollo for outreach, but overall I’m not very happy with the tool. The LinkedIn tasks feel a bit tedious and very manual, which slows down the workflow more than I expected. It lacks automation and ease in that area. Regarding the contact data, the quality is quite poor. Many of the emails bounce, which is frustrating and hurts deliverability. The phone numbers provided often belong to customer service centers rather than direct lines to the actual prospects, making it hard to reach the right people. What do you dislike about Apollo.io? After initial trials, you want to put it to real work. Then it tricks you into believing it can do heavy lifting. Like running a sequence with 2000 contacts. It just cant. Too less here, too few that. While you are trying to understand what went wrong the system tells you that you are on track of getting emails deliverred within the next couple of days, when in reality little or nothing happens. MA Marsden A. Business Development Manager Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 1/13/2025 "A fairly good data scraping tool, but with some drawbacks" 2/5 What do you like best about Apollo.io? The tool is easy to use and there are a lot of extra features beyond the data scraping aspect that seemed interesting, but I am not sure how much value they actually bring. The implementation was easy, connecting to hubspot right away, and the chrome extension works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Apollo.io? The customer service seems fairly good, but a little heavy on the marketing. The main issue we encountered was that unless you go for the most expensive package, you have to sign a legal agreement allowing Apollo to scrape the data from your CRM to enrich their platform. For us this would violate a large number of agreements signed with clients past and present. Additionally, the quality of the data did not match that of Cognism, who we went with instead. AI features in emailing options make sending emails in mass a bit easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Apollo.io? Data is bad, seems like if a prospect is ONLY on LinkedIn, I'll be able to find them. Direct dials/cell phones are inncurate half the time. They change UI interfaces often without notice. Overall workflow is a hassle to get back to certain pages once you leave them. My company isn't the best about CRM hygiene, Apollo has only poured gas on the fire, duplicate accounts all over, some only in Apollo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I like the seuqences steps, its easy to set it up, I love the linkedin automation function but it doesn't work all the time wich is annoying. I live the workflows although Im not sure if I can trust them. For example, Adding a worflow that will add new contacts to my sequence. I cant really trust that the right contacts are being added. I use apollo as my main source of work and I use it everyday. We dont have a CRM integration with it yet but we are looking for it. The apollo CRM and organizing deals is not user friendly at all. it's very confusing. I also didnt like the newest update, its more confusing than ever. I dont like that I cant trust the data. We look for bullhorn and vincere users for example, and we cant trust the accuracy of the results. I find reports very limited and not so easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
