The UI could be more streamlined to reduce navigation effort, and better pricing visibility would help teams manage costs more effectively as usage grows. **What problems is Apigee Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apigee Edge helps in centralizing API management, handling security, traffic control, and transformations in one place instead of managing them across multiple services. Apigee helps to monetize APIs, and therefore we can charge the consumers of our API. Apigee provides analytics to see the performance of API in a specified period. We also onboarded our legacy SOAP APIs to Apigee and have a REST endpoint for the same. Various APIs should be secured; Set up money-making, quota management, and throttling plans. **What do you dislike about Apigee Edge?** Apigee Edge's team continuously improving their product so, as far as I do not have anything to dislike. **What problems is Apigee Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Modern projects are increasingly using microservices. Through the use of microservices, developers are able to decouple their applications by creating tiny components that perform specialised activities. As a result, the components are less dependent on each other. Our company will need to standardise the management of these smaller components, as there will be more of them. I highly recommend them. **What do you dislike about Apigee Edge?** Limit of 20 transactions for 'Trace', cost is very high **What problems is Apigee Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was necessary to route traffic to a physical API and ensure that communication between services was both dependable and secure in one scenario. In addition, the request and answer are converted according to a team contract. Our APIs, in particular OAuth, is well protected with this product. It is very effective in handling Requests and Responses - Users can easily modify responses and adjust them as per needs of the cases without changing any back-end service which is very helpful and time saving. One of the most likable feature is Load Balancing which easily allows user to target separate server end-points, even on a different and multiple deployment or environment. **What do you dislike about Apigee Edge?** Though there less things for now that i can think but they can add Intellisense support which will make coders job easy if any issue is encountered. The mechanisms they use for tracing traffic through those proxies is clear and understandable to most people who already know how to run a website. I like the mechanisms that Apigee provides to throttle APIs (SpikeArrest) and respond with the same results to multiple queries for the same information (Caching) when the same response is appropriate. I think most of the User Interface is as visual as it can be. There are certain aspects of the features that require a few lines of code, but their transaction maps are diagrams. **What do you dislike about Apigee Edge?** The some of the API Analytics charts look too much like Google Analytics for my taste. Without training from Apigee, I can see that some devops people would gloss over the information that Apigee's API Analytics provides. **Recommendations to others considering Apigee Edge:** Get a full hands-on demo of the platform and let your developers and devops people work through some of the examples that Apigee has created to illustrate the tent pole features. **What problems is Apigee Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am migrating a legacy LAMP stack application to Apigee Edge and Apigee's implementation of Usergrid (which Apigee calls API BaaS).
