## Apica Reviews
  ### 1. Circonus: Infrastructure Monitoring without the Hardware Hassle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Desmond C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Our company was looking for a monitoring tool without investing in hardware. We started using Circonus to monitor some of our equipment based on conditions that are defined by metrics and brokers and provide email and SMS for critical alerts to our administrator and support members. We use the data collected from Circonus record and review the health history of our equipment to evaluate and determine a course of action. We were satisfied with the product that we implemented with all our managed equipment as new equipment as our company grows. Circonus also provides excellent customer service that review our checks by simply providing the direct URL of our check and make suggestions to reach a resolution.

Overall, Circonus is a cloud-based monitoring tool that is easy to use, easy to implement, and easy to integrate. It eliminates the need to invest in and maintain your own hardware.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

There is not much to dislike about Circonus, it is a great monitoring tool, but it takes some time to learn how to customize and test it to meet your specific needs before putting it into production. Additionally, sudden updates and changes to features can sometimes require you to reevaluate your processes esp when training new support members.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Circonus is an infrastructure monitoring platform that collects metrics from brokers around the world. It keeps our support staff informed of potential issues and provides insights into the historical health of our equipment.

  ### 2. Need to start monitoring?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mrinal C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Circonus provides a very low bar for entry when thinking about monitoring your application, having one of the best custom metric ecosystems available.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

As a growing company, some UI elements and aspects could be more intuitive, however the dev team does work on this.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We send a ton of custom metrics and they have the best platform and price point for us.

  ### 3. The comprehensive review, "Unleashing the Potential of Apica LoadTest,"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham D. | Quality Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Considering my experience with Apica LoadTest, I can claim that one of its strongest characteristics is its capacity to mimic significant amounts of actual traffic in order to evaluate the functionality and scalability of web applications. It provides a variety of load testing options and is capable of handling challenging test scenarios with ease. Its user-friendly interface also makes it simple for non-technical users to create and run tests. All things considered, Apica LoadTest is a strong and trustworthy load testing tool that may assist companies in ensuring the best performance of their online applications.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

Apica LoadTest suggests that one potential drawback is its pricing scheme. Although the platform offers a wide range of load testing options, some companies may find its cost to be a bit high, especially small firms or startups with tight resources. However, rather than smaller firms with lesser requirements, the platform might be better appropriate for larger, enterprise-level organizations with complicated testing needs. The platform's extensive feature set and capabilities may make the pricing reasonable, therefore these aspects may not necessarily be bad for all users. In the end, it comes down to the unique requirements and spending capacity of each company.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To assess the responsiveness, scalability, and dependability of their online applications, I usually used Apica LoadTest. To ensure that their web applications can handle high traffic counts and perform well under strain, businesses must load test their web applications. By simulating situations of high traffic, Apica LoadTest may help companies identify and fix any performance issues or bottlenecks in their apps before going live. This can help businesses prevent outages, slow performance, and other issues that might negatively impact both the experiences of their consumers and their financial results.

  ### 4. I can meet SLA, Thanks Circonus!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary S. | Sr. Engineer Telecommunications cloud, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Apica?**

during my work experience in Cloud and infrastructure, I always search for a unified platform that's helping me to monitor the infrastructure and applications in one comprehensive platform. Manly, I tried many platforms, But I found Circonus is the most powerful one that allows me for real-time performance and behavioral motoring for my managed Cloud.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

It's too early to say what I dislike, it's just a recommendation for Circonus to make the integrations easier and simplify so don't have to go through more readings to get it up. but also it comes more easily each time I contact their support. the support guys are extremely professional and very helpful.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

definitely, Circonus helps me to reach my SLA :) to the infrastructure through the powerful real-time trends and performance monitoring in one consolidated monitoring solution that's accelerate problem resolution time for all the Cloud parts.

  ### 5. Decent unified platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed I. | Manager converged solution architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Circinus is just amazing platform that unify my work to one platform, I can monitor my network, infrastructure and app. Even I can visualize the app performance and having a clear insights into my managed area

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

Circinus make the circle of tools integration larger and larger every day, for now some infrastructure vendors may need to be more easy for integration. That's a minor request but I know that Circinus is always putting good expectations for me as a customer.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There a perfect option called custom visualization that's deliver alerts, graphs, dashboards and telemetry intelligence thats all forsure optimize the day to day operations.

  ### 6. What a powerful tool can handle billions of events of IoT devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Circonus helps me to realize the value of my IoT data that's generated from the systems, and based on this comprehensive and real-time analytics i can figure the opportunities and issues of my systems.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

Circonus is allowing me a free trial which is a very great opportunity for me to try the software. but I recommend is not limited to specific features and make the trial for all.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the benefit I liked in Circonus Analytics when making combining business and operations metrics in graphs which gives figures on business performance and trends.

  ### 7. Review- Circonus

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Circonus is great platform that provide best solution in data analytics and IoT application.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

It provide very limited range of specific solution.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in provide analytical and IoT solution to the organization.

  ### 8. Apica Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Ability to generate load tests across regions. This makes it easy to simulate "real" traffic against an application. It also is easy to get up and running with quickly. You can add load tests for your applications in a matter of minutes. It has many advanced features of course which you can spend more time on, but ability to get up and running quickly is nice.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

UI interface/design is not very intuitive. Can be difficult to navigate throughout the various screens.

**Recommendations to others considering Apica:**

Overall great product, I would recommend for various use cases related to load and performance testing.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Apica, we had no good way to simulate real user load against an application. Applications would go live without any real load testing against them. This would result in the situation where the end users would be the ones telling us the application was not responding, was responding slowly, etc. Of course we would rather find this out before the application goes live and starts being used by end users. So Apica allows us to do this with a great set of load testing options, which we run the application through before it goes live. The benefits this usually results in is increased stability and resiliency across our portfolio of apps, and ultimately better customer satisfaction when applications are working as expected.

  ### 9. Best Monitoring tool to perform synthetic transactions and load testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Apica's ability to perform ping tests which helps in knowing if our services are up/down and its capability to execute full synthetic transactions are useful for any organization who wants to have their applications available 24/7.
Apica can be integrated seamlessly and easily with other monitoring tools like Datadog and PagerDuty to alert you immediately after a failure is detected in your application.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

Apica pings frequency should be a custom number rather than a predefine number. So if I want to have a check performed every 10 mins or every 24hrs I should be abled to configure that instead of predefined. Also the SSO page has to be redesigned.

**Recommendations to others considering Apica:**

Apica synthetic is a great tool for monitoring and performing end to end transactions, it will help you know the issues before your clients report them, this helps in giving best customer experience and avoid surprises to your IT support team.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Apica to monitor and ensure our services are up 24/7, so we can potentially know the issue with our applications even before customers notify us. Its capability to fire transactions from across different locations in the globe is a great advantages for applications hosted globally.

  ### 10. Apica works, but it's not perfect

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Apica?**

Multiple location checks from locations all around the world

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

Pricing - which has doubled in the last year

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for SLA management. Services can be tested for SLA compliance and alerting when services are no longer available.

  ### 11. Good for synthetic checks, not enterprise scalable

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Apica?**

It is an easy to use product and you can build out checks with Firefox Selenium IDE (no longer supported). Good measure of availability

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

It's very clunky. Infrastructure is large and very difficult to upgrade. SaaS and On-premise versions are different. There is an LDAP integration, but users can only be assigned to one group (i.e. department). If you are in 2 departments, you need 2 separate logins. It filled a gap in monitoring for us, but we're looking to move on.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Availability, end-user latency, browser specific renderings of websites.

  ### 12. Using WPM and ZebraTester

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Apica?**

My company uses the Web Performance monitor to check the status of our customer online sites. In addition, we use Zebratester to load test new environments for customers before moving to production, augmenting an in-house tool.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

The user interface in Zebra tester leaves something to be desired but it useable. per our discussions with their CTO, they are well aware of the concerns are are working on a new version.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Performance monitoring and user experience testing.

  ### 13. I used Apicas load test portal in an entertainment/hospitality app for a big customer

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Apica?**

By far the on demand and on hands suport of the Apica load test technicians that I had close contact with during my use of the Apica service

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

The sometimes tricky conversion between the load test scenarios and real world user scenarios

**Recommendations to others considering Apica:**

Have good contact with the load test technicians

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To find bottle necks in app projects regarding load capability.

  ### 14. Great load test platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Apica?**

I like the overview and the checks that you can set up just to keep track of the performance over time.

**What do you dislike about Apica?**

The softwarde could have a better looking UI and probably have some updates with regards to the UX.

**What problems is Apica solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of app performance and downtime. It helps keep track of SLA.

  ### 15. Apica is good monitoring Tool we used it Alot at our monitoring shift

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars
