"Quick and fluid way to document and prototype an API"

What do you like best about Apiary?

Getting a working API sandbox, and clean API documentation up rapidly. I've used this tool to explore different formats and work out how I want my API to work, without having to do a great deal of coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apiary?

I found that this tool became less feasible as my API grew past a certain size. At some point I'm past the point of prototyping, and I have code that is living and changing, it's suddenly becomes hard to keep my docs in sync with the API. I found that I was eventually reaching for a tool that generated docs based directly on my code and test suite.

I also found collaboration with this tool to be tricky. If there is a version / commit log feature I couldn't find it, so as we were editing it was very easy for things to get deleted, changed, or lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
