SVN is pretty reliable and easy to set up for tracking changes, collaborating on updates with teams seamlessly, and also reliably reverting to the prior stable states in a given service ticket with minimum audit issues. Efficient version controlling system, Directories and files can be versioned, copying, renaming and deleting are versioned. Versioning of symbolic links is possible.
