**What do you like best about Apache Solr?**

synonyms, infecing, delta query , document sharding plus the schema with regular expressions gives a fantastic edge for representing search data .clustering is great.

**What do you dislike about Apache Solr?**

not happy that there is no inbuilt javascript library or a datagrid that can interface with solr and search say around 10 million records. solr is for faster retrival, something on the lines of datatable js library would help.this grid shoukd be available as a plugin.

**Recommendations to others considering Apache Solr:**

modern era inthe cloud have brilliant tools , solr may have to readjust.
