It'll help you get into the users insights, with which you can see what are difficulties they face in our application. Based on which, we can improve our application. I have worked on an wizard applicaiton, where we have a lot pages and users needs to navigate through different flows. So with the log4j log info, I'll get what are flow the users are going frequently and what the less used flow. Based on which we update our application to give a better experience. I have used log4j for several years. It's a good library highly configurable. It was part of all my libraries and java programms development. Used in conjunction with SLF4j is the best solution in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Apache log4j? Unfortunately its development seems to be abandoned. Fortunately the same authors of log4j create a new library called logback, that it seems to be better than its predecessor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Apache log4j: Besides of being a very good library it seems that its development was abandoned,. Logging related issues, log on file, on email, on console, smtp, syslog. You can resolve all logging issues with a a combination of logger+appender.
