It helps you to convert and store your complex data into RDBMS by converting object values into groups of simpler values for storage in the database, It is the base foundation of relational mapping. What problems is Apache Cayenne solving and how is that benefiting you? Before using Apache Cayenne, it was very difficult to store values in objects. Now with this, once the data is converted and stored within the object, I can use it the way i want. It avoids redundant practices of converting the data and saves time. The best tool with a great GUI to map the java object with the database, and having the best way to use ORM functionality, easy to query on the database without prior knowledge. The best about Apache Cayenne is that we can integrate with any external database in Java withoit having a knowledge of SQL. It also provides a robust code and so many test cases. Although it has a community where we can find our solutions but not always because the community isn't that large due to its less number of users so finding the documentation is not easy. The phenomenal orm tools I used to bind to db shemas to pojos or Java objects ,I don't need other Java libraries like jmx ,hibernate and many more and orm tools anymore... The best thing is that it also works well for non java users as well. Java Objects is directly accessible by Database and it stores data base directly into it. Also, its Object-Relational model is pretty good and handy at the same time. The database mapping is quite good, and Cayenne API is good to know thing for sure. Well, its quite complicated and hard to understand everything in short time. You have to give this a more time to better understand. Recommendations to others considering Apache Cayenne: Well, if you user of this then you should have this and mapping of database is quite good. Firstly the mapping to java objects, second is working with Object-Relational model is a different experience. Along with this it works well for java and non java both users.
