It can handle large datasets and it's very easy to use. Developers find their task way more productive and do not have to spend much time on relational DB. What do you dislike about Apache Cayenne? We need to work on it initially and understand the backend process, after that everything is a cakewalk. While am a developer who uses Java as a programming language to code an application. and using the Cayenne I can connect with any type of database that is what I like most. while we need No SQL knowledge to add a database. as being poor with SQL. What do you dislike about Apache Cayenne? while Apache Cayenne does not support Data Access Objects. that sometimes I dislike. even it does not create proxies. As a responsible developer, a person always needs to Code that validates any data committed to the database is easy to write and foolproof in operation. and I think this is the problem that Apache Cayenne is solving. The best thing about Cayenne is that it has a Modeler, which effectively removes any requirement to write a mapping XL like in the case of hibernate and it requires only clicking things to get started. One major issue which we faced with Cayenne is that it's not that good at handling databases without primary keys or non-integer primary keys. So if you have a non-indexed DB schema, Cayenne will have difficulty returning entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. With the implementation of SQLTemplates, an inbuilt super feature by Cayenne we saw a performance improvement which was unmatchable.
