No GUI based managment console 2.Dynamic resource allocation No built in feature for allocating resources to tasks based on demand. 3.Container orchestration: Aurora focuses primarily on long-running services and lacks some advanced container management features, such as rolling deployments, health checks, and container networking. Orchestration of batch data pipelines We have dependencies on data files for executing our batch process, once the data is available on landing zone our listner code triggers the aurora through CLI to trigger the entire flow. Task management is easy and robust with the clusters of machines, and Aurora guarantees the high availability of tasks and jobs, which makes it well-suited for enterprise application deployment. When my team was looking to solve 3 main issues with our running services: Make services highly available, Make sure we can scale them when needed, and the software/service should be easy to use and set up without must hassle. This is the exact problem that apache aurora solved for us. Aurora is designed to handle large clusters of 10s of machines, making it well-suited for running large-scale workloads, which was our use case in one of the cron jobs we had set up. It is not meant for short-time running services, like batch jobs, it is mainly used for long-time running services hence we need to maintain two schedulers along with apache aurora, we also used Kubernetes which added a workload on our engineers. Another thing that I felt was the community is although nice, not as grown as Kubernetes or other schedulers out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. In my company, we wanted to process big pdf files, sometimes that went to \> 300Mb, this was a heavy workload task and we needed to make sure this happens every few hours (We would get a link through API webhook), hence we wanted our services to be highly available, also we wanted that our systems could process this high workload, then scale or downscale workers according to the requirements or traffic, this really made apache aurora a great choice for us. We can schedule giant long-run jobs in clusters using Apache Aurora, and the fault tolerance machine works well for cluster failure instances.
