**What do you like best about Apache Archiva?**

As a Senior Software Engineer at Zynga Games, I have had the opportunity to work with various tools and technologies to ensure the efficient management of our software projects. One such tool that has consistently proven its worth in our development workflow is Apache Archiva.
>Ease of Setup and Configuration

>Granular Access Control - Apache Archiva seamlessly integrates with other development tools like Jenkins. This integration has allowed us to automate various aspects of our build and deployment processes & reducing manual intervention

**What do you dislike about Apache Archiva?**

> UI is not intuitive. I would like the UI to be improved
> I would also liked if the community was more active & had more resources

>Dependency Management - It helps manage the dependencies by providing a centralised repository

**What do you like best about Apache Archiva?**

You can manage a lot repositories business in one application

**What do you dislike about Apache Archiva?**

UI Apache Archiva is a little old. Apache archiva should incorporate more types repositories technlogies.

**What problems is Apache Archiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build automation and manage repositories

  ### 3. Apache Archiva

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Apache Archiva?**

I like the details that Apache Archiva provides about an artifact.

**What do you dislike about Apache Archiva?**

If you want to delete multiple artifacts at the same time, you need to go through one by one. Instead if there is a way to select multiple repositories and click on delete, it would have been better.

**What problems is Apache Archiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For maintaining artifacts.

  ### 4. Maven's best friend

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence S. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Apache Archiva?**

Easy to setup and use across the whole development team. We were able to get it running in development and production to get the environments to use the same artifacts. Using it with a CI/CD tool like Jenkins is helpful as well since the deployments can pull the artifacts from the same repository.

**What do you dislike about Apache Archiva?**

Although the UI is a little bit outdated compared to newer tools like JFrog, it can be cumbersome to use if someone on the team overwrote an old artifact when someone on the team forgets to change the version.

**Recommendations to others considering Apache Archiva:**

I would compare it against other artifact repositories such as JFrog and see if the features that Apache Archiva fits your requirements.

**What problems is Apache Archiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that we were solving was having a single place to be the repository for the artifacts that we were all using throughout the team and be consistent between development and production environments. The benefits were ease of use which sped up development across the projects.
