Ambari is a more or less intuitive interface for Hadoop & friends. The ability to get a high level view of what your cluster is doing and have a consistent interface for managing it is pretty nice - especially if you have ever tried to run hadoop without ambari! Unfortunately, Ambari is showing some age. It is still focused primarily on HDFS and YARN/MR over the many many other aspects of "hadoop" these days (especially spark). The interfaces are spotty sometimes - not all work well, and occasionally they don't respond as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
