AO docs allow you to easily maintain a "workplace-wide" database/file explorer that is easily accessible through your Google Drive account. In our case, it is campus-wide and allows everyone on campus to easily maintain access to their documents and projects from anywhere; while allowing for appropriate user permissions. The best part for me is its synchronicity to my "Finder" on my Mac so I can access my Google Drive files like you access any other file from the computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not allow you to have a working document without "pulling it down" from the cloud and "saving and uploading" the newer version. So if you don't save it properly, or if someone else is accessing the document at the same time, they will not see your changes, or even be made aware that there may be another version currently being checked out in another location. For communication: ordered and controlled way of information flow. In the terms of document management one can get only approved and last version of documents - that makes no confusion about what is valid. Such a powerful & helpful tool. As a DMS it could be programmed to interact more with Google Apps.

The "Governo" (workflow, users and steps) could be created apart from the doc, so you can just select the Governo you need to apply to a doc just before start the workflow, without programming each time similar docs with the same Governo.

AODocs does a great job restricting permissions for various documents and folders. It easily increases security of documents stored in Google Drive and ensures that even if users delete documents, they're still available to the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of frustrations we have with AODocs surround the challenges with having different document permissions within a library. Ideally, a folder could have one set of permissions, however certain other docs within could be further restricted. The way it seems to work is that you can loosen restrictions the deeper down you go, but you cannot tighten the permissions. It's a bit counter-intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On top of its core features, it has a rich API and an internal scripting model that integrates very well with Google. I am able to use it as the same platform to meet the needs of all departments, from simple workflows to complex business processes.. I am able to leverage work from one department to extend the platform for everyone.
