As we approached the next threshold of our growth, it was important to evaluate new technology that would help us reach the next level and eventually surpass it. We studied industry technology for months – in-depth dives and incorporated just about every member of our organization to the vetting process to ensure all needs and questions were addressed. Following our decision, Antera’s “Advance” ERP system has become the central hub for managing our customers, orders, artwork, production, and day-to-day workflow. Having these processes in one system has improved visibility across our team and provides a much stronger operational foundation as we continue to grow. This was the key reason for making a switch, and Antera’s team peeled back the curtain to share the full scope of their capabilities throughout our vetting process to enable us to make an informed decision. The sales and implementation teams were knowledgeable, responsive, and invested in understanding our business. They worked closely with us throughout the transition, making what could have been an impossible implementation much more manageable. Some advice I’d provide to those embarking on this process – have an idea of the systems you want to have in place “Day 1” of the transition. This system Antera has built is so robust, and more can be added, but really drill into what you “need” to do on first day of cutover. Once those processes are mastered with Antera’s team, you can really explore a wealth of other enhancement options and create reasonable timelines between your team and implementation to make them a reality. We chose Antera because we needed an ERP built not only for the promotional products industry, but furthermore for our Wide Format Print operation. They took the time, even before we made our commitment, to understand the print side of our organization and craft a prototype on their own accord to demonstrate how this custom-built module would operate. In doing so, they earned our trust and gained a partner for years to come. We needed a system, ONE system that could connect sales, operations, purchasing, production, and accounting in a single platform. We’re just getting started, but long term we're looking to improve efficiency, standardize processes, reduce manual work, and gain better reporting to support smarter business decisions – with Antera’s “Advance” ERP system, we feel much more equipped to do that than we had before our transition. If you’re evaluating Antera (or other systems like theirs), I'd recommend investing the upfront time to map your workflows and implementation plan. It's a comprehensive system, and organizations that commit top-to-bottom to learning and configuring it properly will see the greatest long-term value. You’ll have the best partner in the industry in Antera to do so! **What do you dislike about Antera?** No dislikes. The team has been a pleasure to work with and we appreciate their attention to our account. One thing generally to be aware of when considering transitioning to new ERP systems, when requesting custom features it takes time and a number of development steps/tickets.
