"Ansys Mechanical and Fluent"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

I have used both ansys mechanical and fluent for structural and fluid flow analysis. It's a perfect software for structural analysis results are solved pretty fast in workstations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

I have used both in ansys fluent and mechanical in Intel xeon workstation, eventhough it's a powerful workstation the solving of problems in fluent takes a good amount of time. I have seen problems solving very quickly in StarCCM+.We have to pay more to open more tabs in the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ANSYS Mechanical is a powerful finite element analysis (FEA) software package"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

The software supports multiphysics simulations by integrating structural analysis with other physics, such as heat transfer, fluid flow, and electromagnetic fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

ANSYS Mechanical can be complex, especially for users who are new to finite element analysis (FEA) or have limited experience with simulation software. It requires a solid understanding of FEA principles, material modeling, and simulation techniques. The learning curve can be steep, and adequate training or expertise may be necessary to utilize the software effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ansys in-depth review..."
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

Ansys Mechanical is one of the industry's best finite element method (FEM) software (also sometimes refered to as Computer Aided Engineering (CAE).

The analysis / simulation done in Ansys and the actual results are very close, accurate and comparable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

One has to do meshing in Ansys before running the FEA.

Training is very much required to use this software effectively.

Modeling using Computer Aided Design (CAD) capabilities are less and should be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simply Superb experience with ANSYS APDL & Woerkbench"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

Best user interface, and mindblowing simulation experience. Meshing and post-processing is done very precisely and it is personalized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

The time required is very high for analysis. Process errors are present. CAD errors detection is very difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ANSYS Mechanical Review"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

ANSYS is my favorite software for analyzing mechanical structures with any type of cross-section for the links. We can have as intricate mesh as we want to get the perfect results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

Ansys is a software with a lot of features and newbies can feel a little overwhelmed with it. It could get boring if we lose track of our analysis stage and have to start all over again. It also demands a good processor otherwise, it gets stuck and does not complete the ongoing task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"top mechanical simulation software choice for many engineers."
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

Its advanced results visualization capability helps users understand the results more easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

Requires a lot of processing power (RAM, GPU) to run efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of a student who is using in Ansys mechanical"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

Ansys is used to simulate and analyze the behavior of structural and mechanical systems under various loading conditions. ANSYS Mechanical can help students learn about the principles of FEA and how it can be used to predict the behavior of real-world systems. As a student, the UI and all the functions are easy to navigate and operate. It can give analysis of any model within few minutes. It has alot of functions that are very useful for analysis of materials. The death and birth element feature is the best as it can replicate additive manufacturing processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

The only drawback of ansys is, it requires a lot of computing power and it is necessary to have high-end computers to analyse or to perform simulation. And also ansys have very limited undo option and if you make some mistakes, you have to start all over again Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ansys Mechanical insites"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

ANSYS Mechanical is an easy-to-use and efficient software, especially for students. I was introduced to ANSYS in the 2nd year of my engineering degree. At first, it felt a bit hard but straightforward when I started to practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

The thing that I disliked at first about ANSYS Mechanical was the Interface. But then, when I got familiar, it was not that bad of an interface. And one more thing that I feel is that ANSYS should be giving some suggestions while entering the values and suggestions about the possible next steps to improve the user experience. This option should be optional because not everyone needs this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for Analysis"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

It has every tool for Analysis of almost all types of material Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

Should have more function and ability to design complex products in ansys itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User friendly interface and verified FEA results"
What do you like best about Ansys Mechanical?

The CAD interface is excellent, and meshing is accurate and fast. The geometry selection for load application and boundary conditions is easy to select. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Mechanical?

Geometry editing for complex Brick Hex meshing is bit complicated but can be managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
