What do you like best about Ansys LS-DYNA?

What I like most is the fact that with LS-Dyna you can really visualize digitally what in the real world happen, so translating it in more powerful words, you can save money and obtaining 99% the same results of a crash in real life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys LS-DYNA?

What I dislike most is the pre-post because it is no admissibile that only because it is free, it is very bad in creating the bulk code. First of all the graphics layout is terrible, mostly if you use the old one. There is not the ctrl+z function shortucut to undone actions which is very very bad! Recommendations to others considering Ansys LS-DYNA:

Before using Ls-Dyna please give a read to the manuel at least for the most common commands, mostly if you use the old layout which is just based on numbered pages with a logic not so handy. Moreover with a good knowledge of the command you can edit the key file also with the block note and sometimes make adjustements way faster than using the pre-post, an example could be if you have to change the mass of a lot of elements, with the note you can simply using the command substituing all (it's a very useful tip) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ansys LS-DYNA solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am solving crash simulations before doing them, so once performing it in the crash tunnel I compare results to have a better visual on it. We work with a lot of industries which ask us to perform crash tests in the tunnel, so with the software license we have a lot of costumers from all europe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
