**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

The use of "Design of Experiment (DOE)" algorithms in the parametric analyses, cutting-edge surface technology to eke out results from the design, and especially the use of Six Sigma analysis which takes into account all sorts of tolerances and real-world variations of input data was superb.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Though every feature which has been housed in designXploration has been helpful, but the "Correlation Analyses" encompasing the local sensitivity curves have been the least helpful to me. Furthermore, I believe the DesignXplorer's option which enable one to view many charts, should be made a bit more user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys DesignXplorer:**

Must use the Probabilistic analyses (SIx Sigma) feature of the DesignXplorer as it will help you make more optimal decisions.

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Design engineering simulation  (Finite Element Modeling) in the Ansys Structural, using the workbench features; using a range of DOE types from the DesignXplorer toolbar

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Ansys DesignXplorer allows exploiting the parametrization capabilities of Ansys Workbench to perform Design of Experiments and Optimization processes, thus allowing to investigate the sensitivities of the system to operating conditions and geometrical changes, as well as define optimized configurations.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

The tool is outdated and didn't receive a lot of improvements in the last 5+ years. It is clear that Ansys has aimed at extending the capabilities of the suite acquiring and implementing optiSLang rather than improving DesignXplorer.

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it extensively to generate input solver files from parametrized models, as well as perform Design of Experiments, massive automated calculations and optimization processes. Unfortunately the tool is not particularly smart, showing instabilities and sometimes asking to recalculate all the design points after minimum changes to the project (example: if I add a contour to the postprocessing it makes no sense to perform again all the calculations).

Very helpful for different engineering solutions. Best tool for Structural Analysis and aerodynamic analysis as well.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Initially difficult to understand the tool. It requires high end machine to run smoothly.

Using it for Research and Development. Cost and time effective tool.

Almost everything. No such evident loopholes are there. All the contents are up to the mark and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

there are not any worthful to be mentioned.

It is the need of the day for all the design aspirants to learn and get themselves used to the wonderful experience.

I'm working with an organization where design tools are required, its very useful

Easy to use. It is very much helpful tool to work as a new person in the field.

I dislike the amount of the help and resources are less in online.

Use a good quality computer.

I mostly solved the design-related problem. Specially complex design with heat exchanger model.

Desiging and simulation using softwares. Simulation is done by ANSYS and also by COMSOL.NO

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

There  is a problem to apply multiphysics and need to connect different  modules. But in case of comsol its very friendly user with multiple physics applied.

Need to modify it like comsol

Geometry is issue. Buitl in libraray is not expanded

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

For structural analysis is the best tool for that program. Also, I tried aerodynamical analysis working perfectly on the workstation. Helpful for engineering solutions.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Hard to understand usage at the beginning. Except this everything is working perfectly. Also, you need a good machine to run the program. My favourite program is about analysis at all.

Getting a better idea before manufacturing. Its help with cost and time. Highly recommended for research and development departments to design anything successfully.

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

ANSYS DesignXplorer is a software for technological designs with which I have felt identified due to the amount of functions it provides when designing parts. When we replace parts on the equipment, we perform vibration diagnostics and the results that ANSYS DesignXplorer produces are extremely reliable, it is a very common problem that generates strong problems and failures in long shafts, so the measurements of torsional vibrations They are essential to correct faults, so it is necessary to know the load, the temperature to which it is subjected, the speed in RPM and the properties of the material.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

I don't find anything wrong with ANSYS DesignXplorer, it is a software in which you can find the best solutions, for design optimization so that you can find the easiest design of the piece you are looking for.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys DesignXplorer:**

This software is ideal for Mechanical Engineers, if you are a student and you are training in this world of engineering do not hesitate to use. And if you're already an engineer, you're going to fall in love I'm sure

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best thing about this software for me is the way I can optimize the processes of creation, troubleshooting and faults, the design of parts to improve the conditions of the industrial process. The results obtained are clearly observed and with an impressive quality, the lines are specific, in addition to the variation of heat, the limit speed that it can withstand. For me it is extraordinary.

Making parametric design measurements easily.
Determining the optimum location of the solution space by defining the goals and constraints.
Assigning the range of variable values as the lower limit and the upper limit.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

The low number of solution algorithms.
Not telling users an estimated value before solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys DesignXplorer:**

If you think your designs are too safe, you can use the software to get lighter structures that will provide the same strength values.

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my projects, I usually get lighter structures by reducing the weight for my designs.

I had the opportunity to examine the optimization results until meeting the same strength conditions.

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Ansys allows me to solve a wide spectrum of engineering tasks including sophisticating mathematical model simulations. Obviously, it requires patience at the beginning of the usage. But after some time you will be able to rapidly solve tasks with a professional tool.
Mostly I like a visual representation of the results. Specifically plots, contours, heat maps and volumes. When you analyze the results in postprocesser you can obtain meaningful features., 

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

For working in Ansys you must have a powerful PC. And you can not execute parallel tasks while Ansys does the computation.
I would like to have more literature, instructions and tutorials. Because it is not obvious how to use it.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys DesignXplorer:**

Be patient and don't give up! Ansys is a time-consuming tool but with great benefits at the end of the day.

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I can simulate real experiments. I can replace some real experiments with a mathematical model and after run it in Ansys. It save a lot of time and recourses.

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

I like the features like selecting a part of a big segment to analyze and add or edit independently without the parent segment into consideration which makes us easy to manipulate the material or dimensions of those parts to replace or modify easily.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

The design tools make it difficult to create a part in the software and even the imported design is equally difficult to edit for a small change. We need to edit the part in a different design software and import back the same file its a hectic iterative process to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys DesignXplorer:**

I just ANSYS for any analysis of parts as it gives the most accurate results with less computing power. 

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We design and manufacture parts for aviation and automotive industry ranging from aircraft to trucks. Such as floor beam in an aircraft and forward hanging bumper in trucks and cars. We calculate the failure loads and design for safety. We can know the reliability of the material based on the analysis done in the ANSYS software only.

The ANSYS workbench provides seamless mechanical testing properties of a CAD file.

Too many features clustered into a single menu.

Reduces cost by virtual modelling instead of manufacturing parts in real time

**What do you like best about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Using some internal elements all problems can be simplified to the point where a big model becomes a couple of lines and surfaces making the solution easier and very fast.

**What do you dislike about Ansys DesignXplorer?**

Changing between modules can be annoying, specially when you are changing geometry. Reading upstream data is not that bad, its really fast.

ansys documentation is very helpful when you get stuck trying to solve error while solving

**What problems is Ansys DesignXplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wind tower design, one of the benefits is that we can optimized old design and make them to fulfill the client requirements.
