I had never used this kind of application before; it was elementary to understand how to use it. **What do you dislike about Anima?** There were two things I disliked: 1. Sometimes, the UI got stuck. For example, when I tried to connect two components to generate UI code, the components weren't connected until I tried several times. 2. The generated code is sometimes hard to understand. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** The hardest problem AnimaApp helped me solve is "time problem". When I did the project as part of my BSc in computer science, I needed to create an application with my team in a very short time. The application saved me at least two to three weeks of UI and frontend work in just a few clicks. ### 2. Overall my experience with animaAPP was great **What do you dislike about Anima?** i like almost everything except some of the ui. i don't know but for me some of the section was really hard to find **Recommendations to others considering Anima:** It's a great website builder. it's better then wordpress and wix do you can clearly use it for your any kind of websites **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** mostly i use animaApp for my clients website. i made some of the portfolio website and some business websites with it ### 4. It's a platform that lets any basic designer create interactive designs for demos that closer look at the finished product. It eases the product/PoC team to hand off to developers translating the design into developer-friendly code. **What do you dislike about Anima?** I like almost everything helpful except a few UI-related. I don't know, but for me, some of the sections were hard to understand their usability. **Recommendations to others considering Anima:** It allows for quick prototyping because I can draw things up from scratch. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** Primarily we use animaApp for my website mockups for clients' demo on PoC items. It's a lot cleaner and easier to use for our clients, and they get a real sense of what the final product will look like. **What do you dislike about Anima?** There aren't many things that come to mind that I would change. Like UI. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** The feature that I loved most about the AnimaApp is that it is already responsive, so you don't need to implement media queries. ### 7. And updating a design means re-exporting and re-finessing in the code. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** Writing a touchscreen UI for a product control dashboard. I'm not going to be using Anima or Plasmic in any further projects as the technology to go from design to code is still a great deal quicker to do the traditional way with a front ender and cheaper than doing it with Anima. It would have been amazing if Anima had worked as I had heard it could from designers. Using Anima instead ran all the profit out of the project then caused various issues both financial and emotional stemming from that. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** None ### 10. I was able to use it for quick website projects with a high turnover rate. **What do you dislike about Anima?** I had subscripted to a pro subscription intended for myself for a month project. I unsubscribed in September and ensured I had been put on a Free Plan. Yet the website (without my knowledge) re-subscribed me with my credit card information and I had been charged $312 unfairly with the $39 they charge every month. I have since contacted them to send me a refund for the October 2020 - May 2021 period but I have not received anything back. I even tested by putting myself on the free plan, clicking confirm, refresh the page after a few minutes, and saw I was put back on the pro plan. The only way it seems like you could avoid this problem is by erasing your entire credit card information, but this is still dishonest on the part of Anima. More general problems with the app are it's hard to find features and the UI is a little clunky. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone as they are willing to take your money and are dishonest with their subscription method. Unless Anima reaches out to me, I can only say that this is frustrating for freelancers who might be tight on money. Prototypes shared externally from within Figma are just a file-share approach, which makes it very difficult to freeze designs for long client reviews while the design team continues work. **What do you dislike about Anima?** Nothing so far, but still in the early stages of adoption **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** Internal problem - how to separate 'design' from 'design review' in a professional services environment with enterprise clients and months-long review cycles. It's a lot cleaner and easier to use for our clients, and they get a real sense of what the final product will look like. **What do you dislike about Anima?** It has a handful of kinks that they haven't worked out. Figuring out those issues and coming up with alternative solutions can be very frustrating. For example, interactive elements can't link anywhere, and the Anima prototype doesn't support a lot of basic styling, like paragraph spacing. Also, it can take a while to upload the files to the preview link, and while you're working things out, you'll have to upload the files often. **What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, we were using InVision to create prototypes. We had to export a bunch of separate assets, and then try to make them work in InVision; however, Invision is really only meant for links – it doesn't support things like hover effects well, which are critical in our prototype. With the AnimaApp plugin, we can create all of the links and effects in Sketch itself, and then just wait for it to publish to the preview link.
