**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

Android is much easier to use and more widely compatible with business programs than other operating systems. It allows business to be conducted as usual when switching from office work to mobile work. It is a much better choice for business professionals than its competitors.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The greatest downside to Android is the proprietary software made by Apple is either unusable or does not work well on Android. Most of this is avoided if Apple products aren't used in the professional realm.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is little I cannot do with Android. I have been a user for probably over a decade now, and I would not make the switch. I believe it separates true professional capabilities from those that insist Apple is a better product. It just makes more sense for a business professional to use Android.

  ### 23. Android- An excellent OS for smartphones

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Android?**

Android is a great Operating System for touchscreen devices like smartphones and tablets. Day by day Android is getting better with its new versions coming up. The OS is very user friendly and easy to use and thus is very popular. Android is a free and open source system software. Companies like Samsung, HTC, MI, etc. customize the Android OS with respect to UI and software suite according to their requirement for their respective mobile devices. The software package that gets installed on the Android OS is APK format.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

Android is one of the best selling OS for smartphones and there are no dislikes for it. The devices running Android comes with a default set of pre-installed applications from Google. One can install other third party applications from Play Store. There are thousands of Apps and Widgets available for Android devices. Android allows running multiple apps simultaneously. However installing multiple apps and running them simultaneously on a low specification device slows the device and hampers the performance.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

Yes I would surely recommend others to go for Android based devices as it is very user friendly.

  ### 24. My android experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shridatha H. | Avionics and Propulsion Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Android?**

In my opinion, android is the most commonly used operating system. It is a open source platform developed by google. It enables the customers to build their own customization.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The frequent releases of newer version makes it unstable for most of the devices running on android. The updates are sometimes unstable and makes the device lag such as less optimized resource usages.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

When compared to Iphone android devices are cheaper. Hence I recommend to buy android , since it enables a lot more customization than IOS

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since last 2 years digital payments have been taking the place of physical cash transactions. This has enabled making transactions easier and help grow and expand businesses.

  ### 25. Android OS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

More customizable than Apple IOS, less of a walled garden and, I am able to install apps from Amazon store and Samsung store.
I have more control over my phone and operating system with Andriod.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

Because of the nature of the way Android was developed, that phone manufacturers can use it for free has splintered the OS a bit.
So depending on the hardware manufacturer, the UI is different and not always updated enough.

Update rollouts are not a frequent as I would like. Some older phones take a long time to receive updates or may not get updated at all.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to use my phone for most of the things that I was previously only able to do on a PC.
I can do remote work at my office from my phone when needed to at least check the status of the office network etc.

So I would say accessibility has gotten better for me with the advent of Andriod.
Also, Windows now supports my Android phone, and in the future, I will be able to install Android apps on my PC, which I like the idea of very much.

Being able to access email, text, web and thrid party apps like chat and networking is a real plus with Android.

**What do you like best about Android?**

I like the ability to customize the launcher, which is how the home screens and your apps appear.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

You have to be a little more careful downloading apps than an iphone because apple is more stringent on their app store. There are more fake apps on the android system.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

Cheaper than using iphones, so deploying is less costly.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple phone lines on one phone, ability to run my online store from my phone.

Apps continue to run on background and it doesn't provide premium virus protection. It have short battery life. Applications act slow on Android apparently. System will get crash often

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it because it's cost effective and also it helps to run multiple applications simultaneously

  ### 28. It's everywhere!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

If you are not a fan of the Apple iPhone or iPad, Android will most likely be your phone or tablet OS. It is widely used by many manufacturers and used on many devices which may even include your refrigerator or toaster.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

It has remained Google's flagship device OS since industry adoption started expanding in 2008 and has become ubiquitous. Unfortunately, because custom builds are created for every device from each manufacturer, version updates and security patches are not always made available to end-users promptly or at all, which leaves them vulnerable to zero-day and other malware attacks.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Android OS has undergone many revisions and improvements since it's inception, and many useful productivity applications have been developed that are available through the Google Play Store.

  ### 29. Android OS

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Android?**

Open Source and increasing security with every update.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

For mobile device , different resolution by different vendor case ui issues, it should be uniform

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily life things and developing many applications for users to ease their routine.

  ### 30. Versatile for someone that likes to tinker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Technical Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

I like how open Android is. It allows users to customize it to the extent they want. In contrast, iPhones force their configuration, and don't allow users to venture too far away from that. Android gives you the flexibility to do most anything you want.

Because Android is open-source, it also gives additional options because different manufacturers put their own spin on it. Many manufacturers create skins that lay on top of Android that add additional functionality and/or update the user experience.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The battery life can't compete with iPhone because it isn't as locked down as iPhones are. Even if you aren't leveraging any of the Android customizations, the core battery life is noticeably shorter than iPhone. If you start customizing (i.e. live wallpapers, location triggers, etc), that gap gets even larger.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

If you are tech saavy and want to have more control over your experience, then Android is a great option. If you want something that "just works", then iPhone may be a better alternative.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using apps like Tasker allow me to automate anything I want. If I want my phone to change wifi networks at a certain time of day or when I tap an NFC tag, it can be done with a little configuration. Apple doesn't expose all of those settings so you are restricted to only use Apple's tools for most configurations. You can even download custom launchers that introduce additional functionality to the home page.

Nothing as such. Overall good. One downside is doesn't work with laptops or desktops. Also sometimes battery drains off quickly. Also sometimes lagging is there while talking on devices.

Android is really good operating system for mobile devices. It has lots of features and sensors which can be used for developing useful apps for variety of purposes.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taryn R. | Executive Director of Student Success, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

I will be honest; I have only ever used Android products, so I cannot compare to Apple products. I love my Android phone and all of the settings and feautures available. It is simple to use and I appreciate the service I have received when I do have questions.

The updates are often, but not too often, and typically I enjoy the updates and don't think "why did they do this!?" I love the automatic calendar, clock and automatic light features. I really enjoy most everything about Android and cannot imagine using anything else, nor do I have the desire too.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The ONLY thing I wish Andrioud could do is like/emphasize other people's messages and texts. My Apple friends always make fun of that and it just makes me laugh. Other than that, I really don't have any complaints at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

If you need a simple and effective product the Android is for you! It may not have all the whistles and bells other phones may have, but I have been using Android for at least 12 years and never plan on using anything else. Even my parents, who are terrible with technology, totally understand how to use their phones. I know we get wrapped up in image and all of the new Apple products, but really Android is a great option. The camera is also really great and I have taken some wonderful pictures and videos with it. My kids have figured out how to use them very easily and from a young age.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can do everything from my phone. I do professional work, class work for my Master's program, play games, stay connected and search the internet. It does everything I need and more! I am able to stay up to date on news, my life and what is going on with social media. I also watch videos and movies from my Android which I appreciate. The battery lasts quite a long time as well. My phone broke about a month in and I had no problem getting it replaced with zero issues.

**What do you like best about Android?**

So, as we all know that Android is an open-source operating system. Do you know what that means, it means that its source code is easily available to anyone and any developer can modify and fix bugs and offer you a new User Interface. Android is highly customizable, it's highly optimized (base on the Linux kernel), very easy to use, lucid and fluid experience with the apps, and gives power to the user. It has a tremendously large userbase which makes the support team very powerful, if you face any problem with the device head over to Google it out and you'll find a solution. Plus it is owned by Google, so the Privacy features and performance optimization is going to be great :), thanks to the Android 12 (currently in BETA in Pixel phones only), but we all will be using that in the future.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

I think there's nothing to be mentioned here, as we all know and use the operating system it says a lot. It's fluid and open offers you great privacy and Security features and Super large customer support who will deal with any problem you face.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

I'll easily recommend Android to anyone because of ease of use, great customer and community support, tons of features, open behavior, and great privacy and Security features.

  ### 42. Android - a great revolution in the digital world

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

We can download many applications at zero cost.
It gives a different look and feels to your device and has a faster processing speed with better application storage space and memory
Better multitasking features
Easier to update the applications, and auto-updates are also available, which helps the users without them bothering much about setting a reminder to upgrade the outdated applications
Better screen-touch sensitivity and application features are available now than ever

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The user needs some training before using it efficiently and obtaining hands-on expertise in the applications/ system. Sometimes it hangs due to multitasking or due to its fully occupied memory space
There are constant application upgrades available, and frequent requests for application upgrades/ auto-updates of the system consumes a lot of battery and internet data

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

Go for Android applications as they offer many features better than the traditional ones, which will keep you updated about the technology and streamline your tasks without much effort and cost
Android applications are more advanced and easy to use and will also optimize the power and battery consumption/ manage the notifications prompt of your mobile or any other device through updating the settings of the device

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Downloading various applications and using them for efficient business functioning and proper planning and management of tasks
Android applications are much more convenient to use and optimizable as they consume lesser power or battery of your mobile or another device without impacting the processor speed/ performance and efficiency and do not occupy much of the space of your system
Users can mute the unwanted notifications

  ### 43. A wonderful OS for mobile

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fazal Ur Rehman S. | IT Project Manager/Senior IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

The software is easy to use, customizable and offer good security feature. Being open-source, one can customize the look & feel of the operating system and develop applications.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

It is being misused by malicious actors who can use the open-source nature of the software to steal data or plant malware on the device.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

I would definitely suggest others to use Android and go for a vendor who does not add too much customization to it. Stock Android is the best. A bit customization is okay.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Android on my mobile to make calls, use various applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, Outlook, etc., to make it a productive tool. It provides a secure environment to operate. Regular update is another benefit.

  ### 44. The best operating system for your mobile phone

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

Andriod is an open-source operating system. It is easy to use and provides the best security feature. The best part that I enjoy is that it offers lots of themes and wallpapers for customization. It gives us the freedom to do whatever we want. It allows us to handle multiple tasks at the same time and also switch things easily. It is straightforward compared to other operating systems and provides numerous applications not available in other operating systems. Android is the best platform for developing new applications. It allows us to share docs, images, and videos to other compatible devices. The updating of software is very straightforward. Anyone can easily use Android. It is affordable to all users because of its low cost. Since our data, like emails, docs, contacts, etc., are stored in the cloud, it can be easily migrated. Most of the services, such as banking, travel, health, etc., are available as Android apps. The 'Play Book' app allows the users to access lots of e-books which is a boon to book lovers. It also provides samples that help the users to read through before buying it. The fingerprint sensor adds more security. The price for Andriod apps is much lower compared to that of ios. Overall, Android is the most reliable operating system I ever used.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

Sometimes Android becomes slower when the hardware is outdated. The battery drains too fast since multiple background apps are running at the same time. If you customize more like keeping live wallpapers, then the battery will drain much quicker. Google duo is not working on Android devices well. Sometimes it gets hanged and heated up more rapidly if I install more apps. Sometimes it isn't feel good to have system updates too often. For few updates, it causes the application to stop functioning. Because of its open-source nature, people can easily misuse and steal the data.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best feature is that it integrates well with the Google Voice number to answer the calls easily. We can do whatever we want with the phone, such as playing games, stay connected with everyone, browse the internet, watching movies, and so on. The Play Store allows third-party apps to be installed, thus providing the users the freedom of usage. The applications such as Zoom, Skype, etc., allows communicating with team members efficiently. Android is beneficial when it comes to problem-solving. The vast availability of apps in Android makes life much easier. We can easily share the docs, images, and videos through Bluetooth, thus making the sharing of files so simple. Overall, Android is both user-friendly and cost-friendly with power-packed features compared to other operating systems.

  ### 45. Privacy, screenshots and Ads

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** German J. | Social media agent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

I like the way Android has changed our lives; I mean, this operating system was growing up and being more concise, adding more features, tools, and pre-install Apps; later on, we didn't need that many App as we used to, so it evolved and let manufacturs put their own pre-install app in order to take advantage about their sensors, cameras, gestures and so on.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

What I dislike about Android is the fact that we're not longer able to do screenshots in any places, I fully understand that due to privacy some places or apps are forbidden to do screenshots but I prefer a disclaimer and let users do screenshots under their own risk and laws that may apply. In the other hand is that most free app alows ads on fullscreen and the X to close is so tricky and 4 out of 10 we clic on and open browser or open play store and may or may not see your personal information and credit card or addresses where it think is so insecure.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

Android support should have better ways to bring support to their users; We commonly contact app's developers to receive solutions, but there is no phone, social media, or chat; many people use E-mail, and I got no email back in a long period, we all know what Android is but not where to call or chat with.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Android, I have been able to solve many problems as Play Store allow 3rd party apps we have a bunch of options for accesories that manufacturs haven't released software to Android, for example Airpods. I know that those headphones are not supposed to be use in Android but we can due to 3rd party developers. Most TV, smartwatch, smartphones are using Androind which means we have a great compatibility. Also for my company we deal with customers and refer out Android app and customers are able to review their warranty status, share experiences, seek for tips and troubleshooting steps.

It is also useful when it comes to handling multiple tasks and switching things. You have a variety of options for a single operation you want to perform.

Security management is the major concern when it comes to Android. In today's world, nothing is secure when it comes to the internet world, the user data is all over the internet leaves the user experience bad. It may cause issues in long term and leads a user to any fraud.

Android is a good platform to learn and explore things with a wide variety of software and data which can be helpful to you and others as well.

My Samsung phone has more features than my previous Apple. They are ahead of the game, I can split screen, move things around. It's pretty intuitive. I thought it would be more of a change from Apple but it actually wasn't too hard to adapt. There are several things I can do on my phone that I couldn't before.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

I do miss some iMessaging features. I also find myself discovering features I didn't know existed. Maybe some sort of tutorial when you first start it up would be good.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

Android consists of many brands, and some may be better than others. I personally like Samsung; some other Android devices may not perform as well.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**
