  ### 6. Because currently in 2025 an Android is better than an iPhone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Dispute Resolution | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Android?**

After years of using an iPhone, I switched to Android with a Xiaomi 15 Pro and I don't regret it. I love being able to customize everything, use USB-C to charge everything, and have more variety of devices at better prices. Also, MIUI and Google services work very well. Apple is still solid, but Android today offers me more flexibility and value, besides the quality-price ratio, for a price half that of a current iPhone 15, you get almost the same power in all aspects and a longer-lasting battery, apart from the fact that it's more intuitive to use any Android phone than an iPhone, I definitely wouldn't go back to using an iPhone, it seems like a waste of money to me when there are better options for less money.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

the only complaint I can make about Android is that it has a shorter lifespan, meaning that in the long run it will last you less than any other phone, but hey, it's worth saving about 600 euros in exchange for 1-2 years less utility than an iPhone, and hey, I'm not saying it won't last, as you can see, a current 500 euro Android phone like an average Xiaomi will last you about 5 years if you take good care of it, and also in my opinion Android is more sensitive to drops, but otherwise Android is miles ahead of iPhone.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an average Android user and what I can say is that since I've had Android, everything is much more intuitive when it comes to setting up the phone, downloads, and also that unlike an iPhone, it has more free apps you can download. It may seem silly, but it makes a big difference. On an iPhone, you can hardly install things online, that is, in a browser, but Android gives you total freedom with that, allowing you to download whatever you want. Also, the battery usually lasts longer for me, and it is very cost-effective.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The Bypass mechanism is different for different devices which is hard to find out

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think the Android is solving any problem just that it is free and open source to be modified

  ### 8. Android has been a great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nikola m. | Engeener O365, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Android?**

what I like best about Android is the flexibility. I love how customizable everything is—from the home screen to widgets and even the default apps. It feels like I can really make the phone my own. Plus, the variety of devices and features across brands keeps things interesting.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

Honestly, there's not much I dislike about Android — it's super customizable and offers a lot of flexibility, which I appreciate. If I had to nitpick, maybe just the occasional inconsistency between different manufacturers' versions of Android, but even that’s gotten a lot better over the years. Overall, I really like the platform!

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Android is solving a few key problems for me—mainly flexibility, customization, and accessibility. I really appreciate how open the platform is; I can tailor the experience to fit my specific needs, whether it's through widgets, launchers, or automation tools. It also supports a wide range of devices at different price points, which makes it more inclusive. Overall, it's made my digital life more efficient and personalized, which has been a big benefit day to day.

**What do you like best about Android?**

I love the open nature of Android. It isn't closed down like iOS. I don't find it difficult to use at all, and I love the power it allows me to have.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

When having to replace my phone, it can be hard because of the difference in hardware from device to device. At least with Apple, you know you have pretty much the same hardware and apps will work from phone to phone. This is not necessarily true with Android, but it has gotten better over the years.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I just like how open the Android OS is and the platform itself. It isn't closed down, and managing my device via my PC is so straight forward, while Apple devices are harder to work with. This is especially true when I want to copy files to/from my device to/from my PC. With Android, it acts like a USB external drive and I have access to all my files (photos, music, documents, etc).

I appreciate Android's flexibility and customization options, which allow users to tailor their devices to fit their preferences. The wide range of apps and features, combined with seamless integration with Google services, makes it highly versatile. Additionally, the operating system runs smoothly across a variety of devices and price points, ensuring accessibility for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

One downside of Android is the inconsistency in software updates across devices. Some manufacturers take a long time to roll out updates, leading to outdated software on certain models. Additionally, the pre-installed apps (bloatware) on some Android devices can be excessive and take up unnecessary storage space.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Android solves the problem of accessibility and versatility by providing an operating system that works across a wide range of devices, from budget to premium models. **What do you like best about Android?**

The most pervasive mobile operating system, Android, has improved vastly in the recent past. Starting with each successive version, Google has hiked security and privacy features to make users rightfully in control of their data. Customization options are unparalleled on Android; hence, a personalization experience can be envisioned, and performance and enhancements of battery life ensure that the device works smoothly and efficiently. Resulting in the huge ecosystem of apps within the Google Play Store catering to diverse needs, Android is a versatile platform. While fragmentation and, at times, performance-related problems continue to rise, Android is still claimed to be one of the most prominent options for smartphone and tablet users all over the world because it is both powerful and flexible.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

While I enjoy various aspects of Android, I also face some issues that can be annoying. Due to manufacturers applying their own custom skins and software, the platform is often fragmented hence causing inconsistency in user experiences across devices.Even though this delays updates and causes differences in performance, there are other things that one might face such as battery drains from time to time, this may lead to compatibility problems with certain applications that don’t justify the sufferings of total battery failure. However, notwithstanding these challenges, Android remains a viable option for most people because it has more advantages than disadvantages.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has also solved some very general issues to huge users' benefits, including mine. As an open-sourced operating system, Android gives a very high degree of customizability, which enables me to have my gadget the way I want it and feel an ownership style. Within this huge app ecosystem, several tools and services are available that work towards enhancing productivity and increasing choices for entertainment. Further, widgets are a feature that makes everyday life much easier by putting important information upfront and not requiring one to go through many apps. Another practical solution is that the memory capacity can be increased with the help of microSD cards, which will help me not to mess up my files and not to pay money for unnecessary upgrades. Therefore, it is the flexibility and user-oriented characteristics that make Android an extremely useful operating system in terms of my daily activities.

  ### 36. Android OS: The Freedom to Customize Your Mobile Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edvinas U. | Cyber Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Android?**

The biggest reason why I like the Android operating system is freedom. When you use Apple, you are pretty much boxed in. With Android, I can install third-party stores, I can modify the default apps I use, and do a lot of tweaking around the system with custom launchers and so on.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

You are lucky if you are using Google's Android, otherwise, you get an operating system that is quickly forgotten by the ponder vendor. This is bad for your digital security.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to seperate my private and work life. From a Cybersecurity perspective, I introduce the concept of seperation of concerns which is very much needed these days.

**What do you like best about Android?**

It is its flexibility and customization. You can adapt almost any aspect of the operating system to your preferences, from the appearance of the interface (with launchers, widgets, and themes) to advanced functions like automation with apps.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The fragmentation of the operating system. There are so many brands and models with different versions of Android that updates do not arrive at the same time for everyone. This can leave some devices without the latest features or without important security patches.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The diversity of devices and configurations generates unique inconsistencies and errors. It benefits me in that the more questions I get about different models or versions of Android, the better I become at providing precise and updated answers.
