**Reviewed by:** wisdom M. | Technical Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Android?**

Android is a great choice when it comes to choosing an operating system simply because it allows users to personalise the look and feel of their devices, such as the home screen, app icons, widgets, and other elements. That flexibility enables users to tailor their gadgets to their specific interests and requirements.

Android is available on a wide range of devices from different manufacturers, ranging from low-cost alternatives to high-end flagship handsets. This provides customers with a variety of options when it comes to purchasing a gadget that meets their budget, style, and needs.

Considering that Android operating system is designed by Google, it offers seamless interaction with numerous Google services like as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. This allows users to easily access and sync their Google accounts and data across several devices making it an outstanding operating system worthy using.

Amazingly Android's platform compatibility extends beyond smartphones and tablets. Today Android operating system is also utilised in a variety of other products, including smart TVs, smart watches, and home automation systems. This in turn has enabled a smooth cooperation and compatibility across several devices in the user's setting.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

While Android has many advantages, there are also some downsides or limitations to using the platform, which includes the following ;

Security concerns:Android's system open-source nature is known to have been posing a risk of malwares, viruses and other harmful software to devices.

Due to the large range of Android-powered devices available, there is always variability in terms of performance, hardware capabilities, and software optimisation. When compared to high-end smartphones, some budget or outdated gadgets tend to have poorer performance and may not deliver the smoothest user experience.

Android updates are inconsistent among devices and manufacturers, hence not all devices receive timely software updates. Some older or low-cost devices may not receive software updates for a lengthy period of time, leaving them without new features, bug fixes, or security patches.

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far using Android operating system has proved that it eliminates premises cost. This is so, because it is possible to perform most of the services that I can offer at my business premises using Android mobile applications. The default messaging app is so bad I can NOT type a message without entering the phone number first, and it is even harder if I have to select someone not in my recent history. Everything I like about Android begins with its accessibilities. From easy software to its hardware that is compatible with all phones from flip phones to the most updated phones that I could use that are newer and more retro that are usable for me and newer I can still use Android. I like how it's software is up to date and is fast system updating as well. I like how Android works with other systems to communicate it's gaming processes because I like to play games a lot and it never has a problem downloading quickly and sufficiently. Nothing has a problem downloading quickly and sufficiently. No wonder it stays up to date and never has a problem keeping my photos secure. I mean there is so much to say about Android too much to place in this one ad.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

The only downside about Android is that you might not look cool in front of your friends that are using the apples nowadays that's the only downside because Android is really up to date.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avi P. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Android?**

Android is a highly customizable operating system but at the same time it is easy to use! 1. I can change the app theme, icons, and even modify developer settings...
at the same time 2. it can be used easily even by someone who does not want these advanced customizations. I have given android phones to my grandparents who are able to use and enjoy their phones.

**What do you dislike about Android?**

I dislike the fact that if you do not have a good account, then it will be nearly impossible to sign into the phone, download apps and perform backups.
In addition, I would appreciate it if the google play store could be more exclusive in which apps they allow to publish. This will help avoid malware, scams, and other unsavory applications from being downloaded.

**Recommendations to others considering Android:**

There are hundreds of android phone models and versions, based on your budget go with the highest end phone you can get (so it will hopefully last at least the two years)

**What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform of android is very diverse, customizable, and easy to use.
This means that I can give an android phone to a technically savvy person to enjoy. But at the same time, i can give the phone to a child or even grandparent who are not well-versed in this and they will still be able to use and enjoy it.
Google Play is also a huge plus! There are thousands of amazing apps which target techies like myself and others who are easy to understand and come pre-configured for the non-techies... everyone is happy at the end of the day!

Creating apps that help in marketing. Streamlining business connectivity between shopping platforms (Shopify, big commerce) and paid marketing channels such as Google Ads, Facebook and more.
